After many seasons of absence, the Battleborn team awards have returned! Join us right here tonight at 8PM Eastern as we unveil our new awards and award them to some worthy recipients!

When we set out to revive and revamp our team awards, we wanted to give our awards new and exciting names that reflect the rich history of our franchise over the past sixteen seasons (since I was brought on board to GM the team).

The awards you see here tonight were named with a lot of care and review of stats and locker room contributions from many individuals over those seasons. There are two categories of awards - stats based awards, given by the GMs, and voting awards, which were voted on by the team themselves.

We will begin with our stats-based awards!

When looking at the qualities desired in a defensive defender, we wanted to keep things relatively simple, but not just rely on one stat. So instead, we relied on two! The Seamus O'Slapahan Defensive Defender Award

This award is given to the defender with the most combined shots blocked and takeaways - exemplifying the idea of destroying the opposition's offensive hopes and dreams. This season required very little calculation because the same player led the team in both stats!

With 96 shots blocked and 67 takeaways, this award goes to...
