B2B Champs Award Awards

![]() Registered Hallsy's Idiot of the Year Happy long weekend, SHLers! I’m coming to you today with the S80 edition of the San Francisco Pride internal team awards! I never thought we’d be presenting these as the defending back-to-back Challenge Cup Champions but here we are! It was an incredible campaign by the team and while we faced some real challenges along the way, it was fantastic to see everything work out for us. We’re waiting to see how the league awards play out for the season but per tradition, we want to make sure to take a moment to acknowledge the work of the players from the past season before the regular season for S81 starts later on today (at least it was later when I started writing this). Going back-to-back Challenge Cup wins puts this generation of the Pride in very rare company and I couldn’t be prouder of where this franchise has gone. Before we move on the the individual awards from the team vote, I wanted to acknowledge the league award nominees!
![]() S80 Cole Reinhart Trophy Winners, Challenge Cup Winners Justin Time - Mike Honcho Trophy Winner, John McBride Award Nominee Toasty - Bojo Biscuit Award Nominee Sydney Shaw - Anton Razov Award Nominee Logan Webb - Anton Razov Award Nominee Levin Schattenaxt - Jeff Dar Award Nominee It’s nice to see so many Priders through the league nominations and we’re hoping that a couple players will be joining Time at the Awards show! Onto the main show for now though. Per usual, I have four awards we are going to be presenting today. We have the Kelly Rivet for season MVP, the Alex Petrenko for team leadership, the Jack Tanner for most underrated player and most importantly, the HLO for Pride of the year that encompasses all of the awards and acknowledges above-and-beyond contributions to the team! The first award we are going to hand out is the Jack Tanner Trophy. As mentioned, the Tanner is given to the player who may not have been the first star of the night or the player that was often talked about across the league, but one that their teammates deem crucial to the success of the team. This season we had five players nominated, showing that the team believes that the success of the team comes from the whole group and struggle to pick one player. The contributions of the entire roster deserve to be acknowledged but we will stick with these five for S80! Oskar Scholz - @karlssens Rowan O'Beirne - @Caleb Viktor Hargreeves - @lore Filip Svatos - @JustAnotherHockeyFan Levin Schattenaxt - @KlusteR Funny enough, the entire cast of nominees for the Tanner last season did not get nominated this go around. I think that plays into the argument that the team really does value the contributions of everyone and wants to see all their teammates get praised. With Spidey and Alaska in the spotlight for the first line, Levin and Scholz kind of had a backseat to the offensive highlight reels but were still incredibly important to the success of the team. Viktor Netflix added yet another point-per-game season to his career with the Pride. In his first season with the Pride, Svatos managed to add another 70 point season to his resume. Rowan led the defense in scoring with his jump to the first pairing this season as well. Many strong contenders but our S80 Tanner winner is… ![]() ![]() Yay kluster! With so many standouts on the roster, Levin’s contributions to the team are easy to miss. We are grateful that he received a Dar nomination from the Awards Committee but it’s clear that his teammates feel his contributions are still looked over a bit. An incredible 78-point season would have Levin being the star of the show on many teams. He’s happy to play his part of the SFP core though and for that we are ever grateful. Congrats! Up next we have the Alex Petrenko Award! We named this award after traphag who was one of the OG members to buy in to the Pride when it was being built up by Henrik. The team wouldn’t be where it is today without traphag and the rest of that crew. To represent those moments for the franchise that would lead it to this generation, the Petrenko is present to the player who is a leader in the locker room and someone who can be relied on to lead the team by example. Our nominees this time: Justin Time - @RAmenAmen Logan Webb - @spidey Viktor Hargreevs - @lore Dominik Winters - @39alaska39 This season we have four players/users who have been nominated. Each of these people are in the locker room daily rallying their teammates and all bought into San Francisco when this generation was kicking off. We wouldn’t be the Pride without even one of these users and the nominations are all well deserved. There was one player who led the votes though. Our winner is… ![]() ![]() Spidey! One of the most quality users across the SHL and someone who has been around since the early years of the league. Spidey is someone who strives for making sure everyone feels welcome in the locker room and provides incredible vibes throughout the league. You can count on Spidey to post some satirical job applications for a laugh or diving into media for an interesting read like his all UFA team earlier this month. Webb is arguably the backbone of the team on the ice and there is no doubt that spidey is our backbone in the LR as well. Our last award before presenting the HLO is going to be the Kelly Rivet Award. This award is presented to the Pride player who was the MVP on the ice for us. With the success of the team it’s hard to pick just one player that stands out for us but the team was able to narrow it down to three nominees… Luke fromm Logan Webb - @spidey Dominik Winters - @39alaska39 A cast of the usual suspects and… Luke. The team rallied behind our backup IFA goalie throughout the past two seasons and he has become some sort of mascot for the team. Besides that, he has also been pretty incredible in the sims through the season for us so I guess that’s enough reason to get him into the Pride awards! The W in WEH stands for Webb and/or Winters because these two have developed such incredible chemistry throughout their careers and are essentially unstoppable for the Pride. There is one who edged out in the votes this season though for the Rivet and that player is… ![]() ![]() Winters has been on a cusp of competing for a Mexico in the league but has being the playmaker sometimes means taking a backseat to the hype of the goal scorer. This season was different for Winters though as he was the only offensive player for the Pride to hit that 100 point mark for the regular season. Putting up 65 assists is an incredible feat regardless of the other forwards Winters is playing with and it seems that his teammates feel that deserves to be recorded as out best performance of the season! Finally, it is time to award the Henrik Lekberg Osterman Award. The HLO Award was originally called the Pride of the Pride Award before being renamed to give tribute to Henrik, as the Pride would not be here without his leadership throughout his reign as GM. The HLO is presented to the player who was considered to best represent the team in the past season. This award encompasses all of the ones previously given in this post and is reserved for the user who we feel goes above and beyond what is expected of a Prider. This gives us the opportunity to celebrate someone who is incredibly special to the team and highlight them to the SHL. Our nominees this season: Toasty - @Toast “Toast is the spirit of the Pride, from building the core of this roster to riding out the rebuild, stepping away from GMing to make room for Caleb to take the reins and stepping up to co-GM when BW took charge and needed the help. He's played the role of the superstar and defensive grinder, always putting the team first, and his unsung accomplishments have done far more to build the league's best dynasty than his (many) visible accomplishments have shown.” Justin Time - @RAmenAmen Ramen has taken the goalie TPE jokes and the love for Luke fromm in stride and has been someone San Francisco can rely on to lead the coaching department or be the voice of reason whenever we need him. One of the league’s most dedicated members and an incredible J GM, Ramen always take the time to celebrate the Pride and elevate those around him. Here are some of the things Time votes wanted to highlight: “Ramen, you've been instrumental to the Pride's success since arriving here from Edmonton. Getting to know you better has been a delight and we wouldn't be here without you! Thank you for everything you do for the team <3” “Goalies by definition are the heart of every team, but we weren't the Pride as we know it until Ramen came over from Edmonton. Even when his player is flailing around trying to remember which way is up, Ramen is always around to encourage, teach, and keep us all grounded. We wouldn't be here without him, and this is me reminding him of that.” Viktor Hargreeves - @lore I strongly believe that the Pride dynasty was set in place when lore and I connected before the S68 draft. While I’ve hated scouting conversations due to social anxiety, that anxiousness melted away as soon as lore and I started talking. I know I’m not the only one that thinks lore is an incredible person and that is highlighted by this nomination. A voter referred to Viktor Netflix as a legend, and that he is. We wouldn’t be San Francisco without lore and the proof is in the franchise leaderboards where Hargreeves is taking hold of everything imaginable for the forwards it seems. Looking forward to many more seasons together, Captain! Levin Schattenaxt - @KlusteR “Great human that is always a positive influence on the locker room and the people there,” was given as the reason for one of the KlusteR votes and a sentiment that I echo wholeheartedly. Levin and Kluster can go underappreciated at a glance over the team or his dedication to the SHL over the years, but he has always been there and gives it his all. He is a natural leader who the team rallies around and supports, showing that the team made the right call when we won the first overall pick back at Lev’s entry draft. Thank you for being you Kluster and hopefully we’ll see a Dar added to your accomplishments shortly! Logan Webb - @spidey As mentioned during the Petrenko award, spidey is the personality of the team and someone who can always highlight the positives. He is a voice that keeps the room from descending into madness despite the best efforts of some and brings joy to every SHL space he partakes in. Webb has been so close to being the player of the season and could easily find himself in the hall alongside Kain with some more awards. As long as spidey is part of the team that’s surely in the realm of possibilities and I can’t wait to see how the rest of S80 goes! “Spideys “applications” to jobs are amazing and his attitude is always top notch. Never a dull moment with him around,” said a spidey voter. The HLO Award recipient for S80 is… ![]() ![]() Congratulations, Ramen! Since day one of arriving in San Francisco, you have given everything you can to help build up this dynasty. Your knowledge of FHM is helping build a generation of geniuses across the league. You’ve highlighted the “fun” of being a goalie in the SHL and have lifted the position up to the point of getting many other users invested in giving it a shot themselves. You are always in the locker room driving activity for us and helping fight the good fight against regression. This all wouldn’t be possible without you and for that reason, I’m happy to end this on a huge shout out and thank you!!! That’s all for this past season’s edition of the Pride awards so thank you for reading! Extremely honored to win this award and it’s one I couldn’t do without my great teammates and my linemates, who I’ve essentially played my whole career with, in Spidey and Kluster. Love you all, Roll Pride!
