How many hours a week do you usually have free? (ie. 1, 3, 6+, etc.)
I usually have 30ish hours free per week. I work part time and do part time school.

What is the most optimal way of cooking a hotdog?
I put them in the boiling pot at full until the water starts boiling, and then I leave them for 5-7 minutes boiling on about 3 or 4 level of heat, then done.

What made you join the SHL?
I stumbled across the site and found it very appealing, and once I saw how organized and well thought out it was I just had to join.

If you could travel back to any point in time, what would it be and why?
I would choose to travel back in time to my childhood because I had this Batmobile toy and I lost it at some point and it’s bugged me ever since, so I would go back just to know what happened to it.

If you had to give a 30 minute lecture from memory what topic would you choose?
Probably about the drama between Marvel Television and the MCU producers about the Netflix shows. There was a bunch of dumb corporate stuff that ended up killing the shows and I will never forget it.

What color would your lightsaber be and why?
I would pick a white lightsaber because I think any Jedi or Sith colors wouldn’t feel right. I mean the Jedi as a group suck and the Sith are all evil, so I think it’s a good alternative. Also it looks incredible in my opinion.

What kind of play style are you hoping to have for your player?
I’m hoping to be more of a counterattacking forward. Someone who is very defensively responsible but also no slouch in the offensive zone. A lot of teams could use some tough reliable two-way play, and I am hoping I can deliver.

I’ve been thinking of coding a program to try and accurately predict the results of NHL games. Obviously much smarter people than me have tried but thinking of all the variables and process seems fun, so it’ll be enjoyable either way.

I think mimes are funny and I liked playing French word games in school, and that’s about it.

I usually just try and let the bad things roll off my back because staying angry or stressed out just isn’t very good. Enjoying the good things is always important and I try not to let them go for granted.

If I could watch The Dark Knight for the first time again I would in a heartbeat. It’s my favorite movie of all time and I think being in my 20s would make me enjoy it even more than the first time I saw it when I was a kid.

I wanna be the age I am now, but in the mid to late 80s. It was quite possibly the last point in history that I think it was genuinely fun to be alive. And if I could experience it without the dread that many felt at the time over potential nuclear war, I think it'd be pretty fun. Good music, good architecture, there was some cultural social progression happening just before economic systems started their slow death march to collapse.

If you had to give a 30 minute lecture from memory what topic would you choose?
I actually had to do this before, I can give a solid lecture on the Story Circle pretty damn easily.

What color would your lightsaber be and why?
I know what lightsaber colors mean, so I'd like to say that I'm a purple, someone who uses aspects of the dark side to help the light. But like, that's the most "edgy OC" type shit. So gimmie orange. I can be a sentinel and it's the lesbian color so that's cool.

So, I want you to open your mind to this, cause when you look up the translation of the name of this manga, you will be immediately put off. But it's called "Chikan Otoko" and it's based on a real life story from some dude on the Japanese side of 4chan. He was profiled as a potential molester by some woman walking home in the same direction, but after getting to the police station, she apologizes and offers to make it up to him. Which then sends this absolute NEET's life into a completely different direction. Like I said, it's based on a real 2chan thread where this guy was just updating about his life. And the way the mangaka takes his story and portrays it just feels so raw and beautiful. I love it and have been trying to find a way to adapt it into a better script than whatever the fuck they actually made from it (live action).

I could follow Ernest Borgnine's advice for a long life, but my strategy is just dealing with it. Truly. I don't think you understand that I've just arrived in a foreign country with a completely different writing system for a language I both do not know and do not have any basis of understanding for, all while starting my first real job and living on my own for the first time. The sheer amount of times that I've been inconvenienced, sighed, and just whispered to myself "Mamba Mentality" over the past couple months is incredible. Ya just deal with it, cause what else are you gonna do? You're here now, might as well win.

I've definitely become more and more jaded as I consume more and more media. And I do wonder if my love for certain things came from it being the first thing I watched or if it's genuinely something that fit everything I wanted. So I guess I'd go back to the first anime I watched, Bunny Girl Senpai. Remove that from my memory and keep everything else that I loved about anime since then. Would I still love it as much as I do?

Pineapple on Pizza?
Look, pizza was created as a way to get rid of leftovers. So there's really nothing that "belongs" on a pizza or "shouldn't be there". Personally, I don't like pineapple in general, so I wouldn't have it on pizza. But people who are outraged about this one way or another really need to find better ways to form community with others.
But also, I'd raise you that sweet corn shouldn't be on pizza. It's everywhere in Korea, wtf? You know how hard it is to just get a plain cheese pizza?

Unfortunately, I'm not a huge hockey fan. And also a lot of the "greats" aren't exactly people I support as people (I've got a Kane sweater, but I got it right before the real allegations came out and it's literally my only hockey sweater). So my favorites are:

-Mario Lemieux (beat cancer, saved his team himself by using weird debt loopholes, then came back and played as an owner and actually did well unlike other owners who decided to come out of retirement)

What is the best book you have read and why? (Comics included) I don't read much nowadays but the Percy Jackson books when I was a kid were amazing.

What strategies do you use to navigate challenges on and off the ice? Leave hockey stuff on the rink and in the facility. What strategies do you use to navigate challenges on and off the ice? I've never played hockey before but I've always just kept moving forward with whatever happens.
If you could experience one thing in your life again for the first time, what would it be? (Book, movie, song, concert, etc.) Probably the first few times that I rode a bike. I grew up as an adventurous outdoor kid. 
Pineapple on Pizza? I like something more odd than that, diced up buffalo chicken tenders with homestyle fries on top of whatever toppings (mushrooms are gross), smothered in ranch. To each their own.
What is your Mount Rushmore of hockey? Gordie Howe, Darren McCarty, Lidstrom, Brett Hull. Those guys always had their teammates backs and did whatever was necessary.
If you were to choose a breed of dog you would most likely be, what would it be and why? Jack Russell...they match my energy...almost.

Something I'd like people to know about me is I love to jam in TCGS in my free time when I'm not practicing in net. 
I have a good amount of free time - 3 days off and a few hours each morning. 
Personally I like to just microwave hot dogs, not a cook. 
I joined because as my friend was describing it, it sounded very fun to do, and being in the locker of my team has already proved that to me.
 If I could go back in time, I'd go meet a few people, smart people, I'd like to just talk about their time and not interfere, I want to learn and enjoy how far ahead they truly were for their time.
 Giving a lecture from memory isn't my thing, but I'd just talk about Ohm's law and electricity, it is my favorite thing to work on in industry and I could talk about it forever.
 I'd have a red lightsaber, I like the color, but I wouldn't be a true Sith, just following my own path, it may become white at some point on my journey. 
I am hoping to be a solid tender, all around balanced when I can, now isn't the time, but one day. 
I'd have no issue being an ally to the LGBTQ+ community, I think they are great people and deserve to be treated with utmost respect just as anyone else. 
Personal hobbies include making music and playing games, be it baldur's gate 3 or board/card games. 
The French simply exist, although poking fun may be funny, I still don't dislike the French. 
The best book I have read would have been a while ago, but the Ranger's apprentice series was one I enjoyed.
 Navigating tough times can be hard, but just keeping your head up and continuing doing what you do best will yield the best results. 
If I could reexperience Knotfest Iowa 2024, I would.
Never had pineapple on pizza, but I'm not opposed to trying it once or twice before I truly make up my mind.

I'm a fan of Robert Miles' channel, pretty nerdy but would highly recommend if you're interested in that sort of stuff. He deals with more existential threats, which is probably not what most people are concerned about but it's a fun thought experiment.
