Alright I need guys help finding some more music. I'm absolutely in love with Kid Cudi right now, thanks Spange haha.
I'm thinking of trying some Kanye as you guys have talked pretty big of him. What are his top albums? I'll just listen to them and then pick out the songs I like. ![]() Registered S7, S22 Challenge Cup Champion Quote:Originally posted by Taylor@Jun 24 2013, 07:50 PM College Dropout Late Registration Graduation 808's and Heartbreak My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy Yeezus Just listen to em all. 808's might be more for you, but just listen to em all. ![]() Registered Merica's Lover Quote:Originally posted by Spangle@Jun 24 2013, 07:43 PMRanking them for me College Dropout My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy Yeezus Late Registration 808's Graduation ![]() Registered Posting Freak
808's had to much auto tune for me although there where 2 songs that I liked.
Graduation: Pretty good album, liked a good chunk of the songs. Late Regisstration: The moment you realize Kanye sings Gold Digger... Wasnt for me though, took one song. MBDTF: Awesome album, liked a good amount of those songs expecially Gorgeous. Yeezus: Weirdest album... Liked Bound 2 though. College Dropout: Good album, took many of those songs. Overall I'm pretty impressed, I guess I always shrugged Kanye off because I assumed it was all going to be like Stronger (hate that song so much) but it wasn't. ![]() Registered S7, S22 Challenge Cup Champion

![]() Wale - The Gifted</div> The Curse of the Gifted: 4/5 LoveHate Thing (ft. Sam Dew): 4/5 Sunshine: 3.75/5 Heaven’s Afternoon (ft. Meek Mill): 3.5/5 Golden Salvation (Jesus Piece): 4.5/5 Vanity: 2.5/5 -Getting his Cudi on. I love Cudi, but Wale can't sing for shit. Gullible (ft. Cee Lo Green): 2.75/5 Bricks (ft. Yo Gotti & Lyfe Jennings): 3.25/5 Clappers (ft. Nicki Minaj & Juicy J): 2/5 -Not as horrible as it was when I first head. This is a sign of my opinion on Wale since if Lil Wayne or French Montana made this song, it'd be a .5/5. But since I think Wale is ok, I'm essentially giving him a pass here for this wack shit. Bad (Remix) (ft. Rihanna): 3.5/5 -Why do I hear a squeaking. I love this remix and the original, but wtf is that squeaking. Who thought this was a good idea. Tired of Dreaming (ft. Ne-Yo & Rick Ross): 3.5/5 Rotation (ft. Wiz Khalifa & 2 Chainz): 3.25/5 -Should have just had a Cudi feature here, tbh. Wale again gets his singing on for the hook trying to sound like Cudi. It's like Cudi turned him down so Wale just tried to do it himself. Despite what this song is, I admit that I don't hate it. Simple Man: 4.25/5 88: 3/5 Black Heroes / Outro About Nothing (ft. Jerry Seinfeld): 4/5 -Certainly makes me hyped for the Album About Nothing, Wale's next project. Love Seinfeld, so really hyped. Bad (ft. Tiara Thomas): 3.75/5 -The hook is really elegant, honestly. The squeaking starts here too in the second verse. Not sure what's up with that. 55.5/80 -> 3.47/5 Welcome to more of Wale's versions of Cole World: The Sideline Story. I admit that I liked Ambition, but damn does this dude ever like making songs targeting women. Jeeeeeezzzzzzzzzzzzz. Y'all don't even know. He's one step away from being Wayne and declaring his love for pussy in every other line. However, this album is successful at times, though not enough of them. My favorite song by him is "DC Or Nothing" off of his last album, where he goes pretty deep and talks about his hometown. I wish this album was that song from front-to-back, but alas, it's not and at times Wale dives into the world of strip clubs with club bangers such as "Clappers" and "Rotation". While the latter isn't dreadful, it's not what I want to see from somebody with so much potential. Wale could be a good rapper, in my opinion, and chooses to be just that at times, but then stops. ![]() Registered Merica's Lover ![]() Administrators Posting Freak

![]() Registered Posting Freak Quote:Originally posted by Taylor@Jun 24 2013, 11:55 PM You listened to every single song on his discography in less than an hour? ![]() Registered Posting Freak Quote:Originally posted by Kyle@Jun 25 2013, 02:38 PMI listen to about 30 seconds of the song if I don't like the way it starts then I skip to the mid and listen to a bit more then I decide it I want to keep it. For the most part the way a song starts is the way it sounds throughout the song. Two of his albums where really odd like 808's. Lot's of auto tune stuff which I don't like and his Yeezus was just weird haha. ![]() Registered Merica's Lover Quote:Originally posted by Taylor@Jun 25 2013, 02:41 PMA lot of his songs have strange starts and they pick up hugely. His music is more like a movie than most others and his albums work together from start to finish in his later work. You'd really have to give it a full listen to get the full effect. Yeezus and MBDTF are amazing start to finish. Yeezus you definitely have to listen to the beginning to the end since most songs are very strange at the start until Yeezy starts to rap |
