Right I'm not denying Eriksson is a great player but Seguin could be just as much of a factor IMO. Right now Eriksson is a bit more proven but Seguin could very well be just as good if not better. I'd say Boston is winning right this second but its very even imo
Huge Loui Eriksson fan maybe im overhyping  . Like I said I hope Seguin matures in Dallas and becomes the player he should. But it honestly depends what else is involved in the deal. as of now I love this deal for Boston. and holy shit 5 player deal? Im loving this, havent seen a good blockbuster trade in awhile.

LOL BOSTON. Another overreaction to a great 19 who didn't single handedly win a cup (oh wait, but this one DID win a cup).

This is like Chicago giving up on Kane. What would have happened if they did that? Not that Boston isn't getting a good return but seriously. throwing Seguin under the bus.

We need room for soderberg and spooner on the 3rd line.
peverleys salary is too high for how he played last yr

Pevs is making to much at like 3.2M but he is a great 3rd liner. Versatile and is great on faceoffs. Spooner on 3rd line though? He isn't all that great defensively. He is more of a sniper and is small for 3rd line.

I believe Boston is making the wrong decision giving up Seguin, But there are pieces so there could be hope.

Julien starts his rookies in the bottom 6 and they work their way up.
he doesnt have to be big to be a 3rd liner.
Marchand for example started on the 4th, moved up to 3rd, then to 2nd.
expecting the same from spooner

That's he thing it's not seguin and kessel, is dougie, knight, seguin for kessel. Boston still wins that trade.

Eriksson is only 26, two-way player, 70 points a year....he's still got potential to do more. I really like the trade. Seguin was too one dimensional offensively (he did the same move EVERY time).
Alot of young skilled forwards are like that tho.
kessel was the same way in Boston and now he is much more rounded offensively.

and i think people underrestimate Seguin defensively.
hes not great, but hes not bad at all and hes only going to get better

@DarrenDreger
I'm told there are 7 pieces to the Seguin-Eriksson trade. 3 prospects moving from Stars. 4 players total.

Eriksson, Hamilton, Knight for Kessel

You can't include Eriksson in the Kessel deal now cause Seguin is being dealt to Dallas. lol Unless it was straight up 1 for 1.
