So who makes the playoffs?

The Western conference is a very tight horserace. There three teams aiming for the last seed in the conference for a playoff spot. These three teams are separated by a mere 2 points! Los Angeles is ahead in the standings with the tie breaker because they have more wins than Riot. Don't count Riot or Jets out yet, they both could still sneak in. All three teams have 8 games remaining!

So which teams do they need to play against?

SEATTLE RIOT

Dragons

One thing's for sure, the Riot makes or break the second seed in the conference. They are playing the Dragons or the Renegades for a total of six of their last eight games. This is like a mini-playoffs for them and more than four wins would certainly make them happy. They are 1-2-0 against the Dragons and 3-0-0 against the Renegades. Those are not bad record and Seattle could still come out ahead. Overall, the Riot's schedule looks tough because there are two teams still wanting to play up to their potential still they are still fighting for a playoff spot. Their easiest game and probably the only easy game is against the Chiefs. They play the Winnipeg Jets and a win here could be beneficial since the Jets are two games behind them. If they can sweep the season series against the Renegades, I can see them have a really great chance in making the playoffs

LOS ANGELES PANTHERS

The Panthers play the Blizzard three more times. While the Panthers were the one that snapped the Blizzard's modern historic streak, they are 1-1-1 against them so these games will exactly not be that simple. They also have two games against a western conference team and their record against competing teams in the west are not exactly that great. They are 1-9-1 with their only win coming against the North Stars. It's still not too late to get two more wins to bad that horrible stats. They play the struggling Renegades once and a crucial battle against the Jets as well.

WINNIPEG JETS

If you can see the Jets remaining games, they clearly have the easiest schedule out of the three teams competing for the last seed. All they need to do is show up to the game. The Jets face the Rage and the Chiefs which should be free wins. They also have two key match ups against the Riot and the Panthers, two teams that are themselves competing. However, they are a game behind the Riot and the Panthers. They will also not own the tie breaker against the Panthers so they would need to be ahead of the Panthers by atleast two points to secure a spot. That means they have to win 2 more games than the Panthers.
