Hey SHL,

It’s come to the attention of the SHL Head Office that users @Brutus and @Slav1cThor have both violated the site’s rule on conduct between yesterday and today. The rule broken reads:

Personal attacks, excessive/malicious trolling, spamming, language/rhetoric that includes hate speech (ex. racism, homophobia, ableism), or any comments made that belittle members of a certain religious, ethnic, or oppressed group will not be tolerated.

Yesterday, Slav1cThor made comments towards Toast threatening physical violence, and this morning Brutus used a homophobic slur in his Juniors LR before leaving. All this accounted for, the punishment is as follows:

- Both users will receive a 1 week posting ban on the forums, effective immediately.
- Players Luka Kovacsova and Sasha Kovacsova will receive a 3 game suspension, to be served if they return to the league. Should they recreate, this suspension will be served at the start of their new players’ careers.

As always, the SHL has no room for intolerance. We’ve always been a socially inclusive and diverse group of people here, so decisions like these are no brainers. We opted for the standard punishment this time around since at one point these users were active and contributing, but per the rulebook we reserve the right the levy a harsher punishment in the future, should they return and prove themselves unwilling to be a positive influence on the site.

Finally, to correctly set your timezone on the forums, click your username in the top left, scroll down to “Edit Options”, and from that page you’ll be able to set your timezone, so you can properly track time-sensitive things on the site without confusion.
