Looking at the top 10 rookies with the most points of SMJHL S76
#1

Now with the SMJHL S76 finished, we can look of the top 10 rookies by points through the season. In fact, @Popol made an article, at the end of the S76 SMJHL Draft, about the ''Top 10 rookie’s predictions by points''. You can find this article by clicking this link: https://simulationhockey.com/showthread.php?tid=136291

Now, let's look of the Top 10 rookies this season with the most points.

#10:
Yuri Boyka III
Team: Nevada Battleborn Battleborn
Popol's article prediction rank: N/A
Draft rank: 42 (3rd round)
Position: LW
22G - 24A - 46 PTS

Especially being on the third line on the beginning of the season, Boyka III really puts his efforts this season by managing a lot of points and offensive efforts for his team. That help makes him move up to the better lines of his team. One of the best examples that the next rookies will see in the future from him. Managing 46 points in 66 games, he helped his team to get some precious points during the season.

#9:
Doug Weight
Team: Maine Timber Timber
Popol's article prediction rank: N/A
Draft rank: 21 (1st round)
Position: C
14G - 33A - 47PTS

Doug Weight is the first member of the Main Timer who shows on this list. He made a lot of good points to help his team to be in the first place, over the Carolina Kraken. He mostly does his points in the 5-on-5 (with only 2 assists in the penalty kill during the whole season). With 6 foot and 200 lbs, he did a lot of hits (82 hits to be exact) and he was a threat with the faceoff, with 54% (which is one of the highest in the centers of all this draft class).

#8:
May O'Nayse
Team: Maine Timber Timber
Popol's article prediction rank: N/A
Draft rank: 69 (4th round)
Position: RW
25G - 22A - 47PTS

One of the biggest underdogs in this class, May O’Nayse went crazy during her rookie season. In fact, she tied in second with the most goals by a rookie this season, tied with Skyler Stevens and Gina Pinard from the Tidal. We can’t expect the better for her, since the fans went crazy when she arrives at the Timber’s facility.

#7:
Raw Cheese McPickle
Team: Colorado Raptors Raptors
Popol's article prediction rank: N/A
Draft rank: 25 (2nd round)
Position: RW
16G - 32A - 48PTS

The big right winger McPickle is really an interesting one. In fact, with one of the best hitters among the rookies (with 103 hits) and a big physicality, we can see that his offensive check can lead to some points. With 48 points during his first season, he surprises a lot of analysts because McPickle is a 3rd line right winger. We will see how he will handle the rest of his Junior career when he will be one a higher line in the future.

#6:
О́lafur Atlason
Team: Newfoundland Berserkers Berserkers
Popol's article prediction rank: N/A
Draft rank: 15 (1st round)
Position: C
21G - 32A - 53PTS

The Berserkers had the most goals produced in the entire league. No wonder why this player has a sensational season! In fact, still in the 3rd line, he is still producing a lot of points in even strength. With 6’4in and 230 lbs, he did a lot of hits to generate offensive momentum that leads to some points. We can also see the efforts from this player because at the beginning, he got a lack of points. At the end of this season, he produced at least 1 point per game. Can’t wait to see this player for a couple of seasons before the big leagues.

#5:
Skyler Stevens
Team: San Diego Tidal Tidal
Popol's article prediction rank: 9th
Draft rank: 14 (1st round)
Position: RW
25G - 29A - 54PTS

The first San Diego rookie to appear on this list. At the beginning of the season, he was one of the best players in the Tidal’s team, with Sam Volta and Brandon Gilleyes on his side in the first trio. More the season progress, he went more with a physical approach, which he went more as a defensive player during the last weeks of the season. Although, he still manages to keep in the top 5 spot, especially during the powerplays of his team.

#4:
Swedish Chef
Team: Carolina Kraken Kraken
Popol's article prediction rank: 1st
Draft rank: 5 (1st round)
Position: RW
20G - 37G - 57PTS

The player that everyone expected to be an absolute banger during this rookie season. Even if Chef was in the 2nd line of the team, he still manages to make a lot of points during the season, he still fights a lot for the top 3 spot for a long time during the season, which is crazy to keep that pace. We are not surprising if Chef will be an absolute beast during his next seasons in the Juniors.

#3:
Sam Quintilio
Team: Regina Elk Elk
Popol's article prediction rank: 4th
Draft rank: 40 (3rd round)
Position: C
15G - 43A - 58PTS

Getting up by 1 place during Popol’s prediction, Sam Quintilio made a great season for his rookie year. Finishing second place for the most assist by a rookie with 43 apples, he was unstoppable with his passing skills.
#2:
Gina Pinard
Team: San Diego Tidal Tidal
Popol's article prediction rank: N/A
Draft rank: 4 (1st round)
Position: LW
25G - 42A - 67PTS

Gina is one of the only two players to manage a 1 point per game average. Even if anyone didn’t see that player to come on top, she surprises a lot of people with her stats this season, tying second with the most goals for a rookie this season with Skyler Stevens and May O’Nayse.

#1:
Sam Volta
Team: San Diego Tidal Tidal
Popol's article prediction rank: 8th
Draft rank: 18 (1st round)
Position: C
27G - 44A - 71PTS

The last rookie from the Tidal draft, Sam Volta didn’t disappoint their fans. Since day 1 of the season, he was the rookie with the most points. At the end of the season, he manages to be the rookie with the most goals (with 27 goals), the most assists (with 44 apples) and with the most points (with 71), being one of the two rookies of this class to be over 1 point per game average. He is also the player on his team with the most points, with 71 points in only 66 games played. All thanks to his passing skills and offensive reading, he was unstoppable in the powerplay (which he was nicknamed McJesus because of his passing point to Gilleyes). Won’t be surprised if he wins the rookie of the year this season and be on the all-star rookie team with his incredible stats.

For the ones who checked Popol's article, here are the rest of the top 10 Popol's predictions:

Gwendolyn Telenn (NBB) 10th -> 25th | 15G – 23A – 38PTS
Nor Gee (QCC) 7th -> 15th | 17G – 24A – 41PTS
Hockey Player (OTT) 6th -> 18th | 16G – 24A – 40PTS
Kobe Frobe (MET) 5th -> 23rd | 12G – 27A – 39PTS
Jefferson Steelflex (ANC) 3rd -> 21st | 21G – 18A – 39PTS
Marián Hanák (GFG) -> 2nd -> 30th | 12G – 23A – 35PTS

This article is also helpful for scouts if they need to see some stats and ranks for the offensive aspects. I’ll do some other medias for that for the next junior seasons.

Nice to see you make a follow up to my article! I'm happy 4 out of my 10 predictions finished top 10. Congrats to all these players for performing well on the ice offensively.

I also found funny how the writer of this article talked about the person who finished 1st. No conflict of interest whatsoever Tongue
