"playoffs mvp" not "Finals MVP"

the matter of the fact is that i shut down both the Rage and the Toon to get the Chiefs into the final, then did every thing i could to get my team into 4 OT games that coulda went either way against the best team in the league.

Now time for the Jeff Dar Award. The Jeff Dar award, named after defensive forward Jeff Dar, goes to the best forward who displays both offensive and defensive aspects of his game. Dar has done this for 5 seasons and this past season was no exception!

I should be in this IMO

best +/- in the league as a rookie on the team in last place, while on the second line

Best defensive forward is really subjective so it's harder to get recognized; almost more about your reputation. You might be a finalist next season though

I hate when people uses +/- to say they are good defensively. From all the hockey stats in the world, this is the one I hate the most (no offense to you btw)

It means that you're team scored more goals than they allowed while you were on the ice. Does it mean you're good defensively ? Not at all. Even if you're Chris Pronger, if your team in front of you doesn't score, you don't get a +.

Still you CAN use it to compare inside your own team but then again you said yourself you were on the second line so you faced easier competition than your teammates on the first line that finished in -.

I'm sorry, I just hate +/- don't take it wrong

I think I'm the only one who see that more like an offensive stat than defensive stat

I think I was the only one to vote McBride for the top rookie.

I agree, because using +/- makes you think Mike Green is good defensively, when he i actually awful. Some of the best shutdown guys in the league have an average +/- because they play against the other teams best players.

He really depends in the situation...Klimek led the league in +/-, playing on the worst team, and having low point totals.

If he had some higher stats in hits, and SB, I'd say he probably gets more votes.
