Option 2

Despite not being recognized for it last season by being failed to even be nominated for the Jeff Dar award as the leagues top defensive forward, Jack St. Clair is very good at defence. He knows where to be when he needs to be with his great positioning, which then allows him to stick check his opponents or check them off the puck. Thats why I think if Jack St. Clair would try his hand at another position it would have to be defence. He's played wing before at the start of his career, and also while representing his home country at WJC and IIHF tournaments. In fact, he even played defence in his first IIHF tournament which also happened to be the last time Canada won the gold medal. He might not be as good as some of the greats like Louise St. Martin or Emil Egli, but I think JSC would be a top defender in the league with few slight adjustments to his playstyle.

option 2: My playstyle has always been to try to be extremely well rounded, where you could put me at any position and i think i could be able to hold my own. Because my faceoffs and screening are pretty mid, i don't think centering would be the best option for me right now. A defenseman seems like the best option, my plus/minus has been pretty good and people seem to like bigger defenceman, especially come playoff time, and 6'2 and 214 lb seems to fit the bill well enough. I like to think i would do pretty well on the boards and my athleticism is up to par. I could for sure still put up points if you put me on defense but i would still be able to lock it down and make it easy on the tendy. Speaking of goaltending, at this point i think my size wouldnt match the usual goaltenders in the game today.

If I would have to swap positions I think I would be most suitable to play defence in a two way defence role, or a more offesnive role. Currently being in junior my build is built being around a playmaker which would help a lot of ways if I was to position swap to defence. The first being skating, being a fluent skater is always a benefit, if you can skate with the best offensive players it will greatly help you skate with them in the defensive zone when trying to defend zone entries and cycles. The other attribute would be my passing, it is very important to be able to make the first pass when breaking out of the defensive zone. If you cannot make that first pass you will be stuck in your zone so it is important to get that first pass to your forwards so you can transition to playing your offensive game in their zone.

Option 2:

Kristian Seppanen, the rookie up and coming star right defenceman of the Atlanta Inferno hockey team in the eastern conference of the Simulation Hockey League, would be a left defenceman if he could pick any other position to play. He is a right handed shot, so he should probably be on the left side anyways, but he doesn’t care because he’s always right (in both ways). Kristian Seppanen’s defensive play style would lend well to such a major change of position. If Kristian Seppanen, the rookie up and coming star defenceman of the Atlanta Inferno hockey team in the eastern conference of the Simulation Hockey League couldn’t be a left defenceman, he would then choose to be a goalie because his priority on the ice is to do the goalie’s job for them always by blocking all the shots. Kristian Seppanen would probably hate being a goalie though because as a defenceman, he believes that shots shouldn’t even reach the goalie and without a skilled shot blocker like Kristian Seppanen in front of him, he would probably have to make more saves which would be sad.

If there was a different position that I could switch to now, it would be switching to become a goalie. Switching to a goalie is almost completely different from what my play style currently is, which is a two-way defenceman, who likes to score as much as he can. My personal fandom of hockey would be more fulfilled with this change, because it was the position I always wanted to play as a kid, but was really never the position that I was best at. I was not sure if I could make it in this league as a goalie and be as active as a star goalie needs to be to succeed. Now that I know how active I've been, this is a position change I can make when starting a new player in the future. Some of my favorite players in the NHL are also goalies, so it just makes sense for the position switch I always wanted, and to avoid forward, which is the position I played my entire life.

Written Option 2: What position other than your current position would your player choose to play if given an opportunity to change their position, and why? What about their playstyle lends itself to that position, or what about your personal hockey fandom would be better fulfilled by playing that position than the one you picked?

Elly would want to be a speedy forward to show off her feline grace and ferocity. As a predatory animal, she has the muscles and the speed, and the reflexes to really go after the puck and push any advantage she can see/setup for her. She knows how to react on a moment's notice and has the endurance to keep pushing longer than most silly humans would start to tire out. She can growl at other players to intimidate them, while still always keep things safe and fun. And personally, seeing her spots and markings flash up the ice would be a wonderful sight. Her fans waiting for that exact moment she is ready to pounce on the puck and swing for a goal, blurry and fierce pictures snapped and dotting xitter after each game! A majestic leopard such as herself is made for the ice.

As a defensive defenseman I think the playstyle is much more limited and I will have to argue despite that. I am a big fan of defensive forwards but moving up is not a simple choice. I think a defensive center is much more reasonable than a winger, even if it also can work. However, the current build I run means Niclas Sundqvist lacks any experience or skill in faceoffs, something very important as a center. While I feel that Sundqvist could probably work better as a defensive winger right now, it would really have to depend on team tactics. Personally, I think very defensive with good puck control and passing lends itself better as a center, especially with slower speed. A winger would require more speed and as such could have the potential of being a real good aggressive forechecker/agitator.

Anyhow, my final conclusion is that I would turn Niclas Sundqvist into a center, given the opportunity. It would require less tuning to make him a functioning player there than it would to put him as a winger.

Written Option 2: If Kristians Mikelis was forced to change positions from left defense, he would probably choose to be a left wing. Mikelis already plays on the left side, with a left-handed shot. I feel this suits him well, and with his offensive skillset, I feel a transition up to the wing would be a smooth one. Mikelis has high ratings in passing and puck handling as well as good agility and physical traits. I believe this would lead to Mikelis being a good speedy forward or dangler. This season, in the SMJHL, Mikelis leads the Maine Timber defense core in goals and is second in assists from defensemen. When it comes to powerplay goals, Mikelis has four while only one other defenseman has any, and they only have one. As a forward, I could easily see Mikelis blossom into a goal scoring specialist. I am personally way too attached to defensemen, to convert Mikelis to a forward, but when I decide to recreate, if I choose a forward, I will definitely take inspiration from Mikelis when building them.

I would definitely pick the next game we are in anchorage playing the armada. I think it would be funny to stick it to my old team and my friends and really stick it to Gabe even though he isn’t the general manager over there anymore. His spirit lives on, therefore the desire for him to be fire also lives on. I think what I would do is just have all the fans some how get into the arena maybe the day before or something and unbolt all the seats and spin them around, and then just really hope no one that works at the arena notices. I think it would pretty funny for the armada to come skating out to thousands of fans all sitting facing away from them. And no one cheers or anything and they just get completely snubbed. Also I would put a rat trap on Gabe’s seat lmao

As a defensemen, it can be really hard to change up what position you play. While forwards have more flexibility and transferable skills, playing defense is harder to adjust. More than likely, if I am going to be playing a different position, it’s going to be center. Playing down the middle with the forward group often has the connotation of being a more defensive minded position.

I have a really strong opinion about defense being even more important than the offensive side of the game. I feel like that defensive responsibility aligns much more with centers than it does with wingers. Although, and I had never considered this before, I wonder if all of my time spent blocking shots would also make me a half decent goaltender. It is atleast worth trying some day in practice. I’ve got a pretty big frame, some good flexibility and think that I could be quick enough to snap some pucks out of the air with a glove. So, I guess what I am saying is I’ll play center or tendy if I can play defense.

Written Option 1:

So there are a couple of games remaining to have my new following take over an opposing team's barn but I think the best would be the away game against Philly as their probably our biggest rivals in the Eastern Conference right now. I think a take over of their arena would make a huge difference and completely throw off their game. It would have such an effect that I could see us winning by atleast 4 or 5 goals and would basically secure the Eastern Conference for the good guys. I've never seen anything like this and I don't think anyone else has seen something like this as well. A decent number of these new online fans are from Europe and Asia and are used to soccer chants and have developed some awesome ones for us. I can't wait for the game and I feel like I need to award the fans both new and old so I'll make a PO box and anything sent to me over the weekend I'll autograph what they send to me and mail it back to them.

"If I wasn't playing forward? I don't know, probably like... lacrosse defenceman. I don't think I've got any desire to play defence in hockey and I sure as shit don't have the mental fortitude to be a goaltender, but you know, I played lacrosse in high school. I played midfield, long stick. Tons of running up and down the field and shit, the kind of sprints that make a normal person puke. I think I could probably transition to playing defence, I'm already familiar enough with the long pole. But I guess if it's hockey, yeah, I can take on the role of a defenceman. I'm already fucking great in my own end and I've got a wicked slapshot in practice, so yeah, I think that's probably got to be enough to qualify me to be an SHL level defenceman right? Shit, how hard can it really be, right? So, I don't know. Stupid question, what's next?"

Option 2

A change of position for goaltender Henri Losanov is not a smart idea. The greatest coach off all time will never be able to make Henri look good as a forward or a defenseman. At 6'7 244 lbs, he would just be too slow out there to do anything offensively. His skating always been bad, he never laid a hit in his entire life. The only thing you could do would be to put him on the powerplay to screen the goalie. But does a team really want to give someone 5 mins of ice time a game? This is the SHL we're talking about, only the top TPE earners of a team gets PP time. Henri is barely in the top 30 of his draft class, so forget about it. Sure he could be the new Hall Gill but who the hell wants to be Hall Gill? He's already struggling at his main position, please Mr. PT director leave Losanov alone in his crease.

Written Option 1:

I think the game we are gonna invade is the Philadlphia forge arena because thats where gabe @Gwdjohnson plays and hes like easy to scare out so our great atlanta inferno fans would go there and be very loud and boo when gabe would touch the puck. Im sure @goldenglutes would also join the rabid fans of the inferno to boo gabe but he would probably not be the loudest booer because he is shy and a very gentle person so he would be like I was saying boo urns or something so he doesnt make gabe feel too bad. I also think we would silence most of the home crowd by telling them very nice things and buying them beers or cold non alcoholic brevage of their choice in exchange for their silence, people usually cant say no to that. I think what would be funny is seeing rookie @Bongo bongo's reaction to the crowd cheering for him at an away game lol he would probably be like what?!?!?!
