this is a tough question for me to answer as i am still early in my career, only about halfway to regression. i see Alexandros having a good 10 seasons in him still, after that we will see how i feel.

I recreated after going inactive and instead of falling behind I started over. I probably could've been a solid 3rd liner but i wanted more. Same thing with my current player

Dunkler Sowerwine hasn’t played his first game, let alone season at the SHL level yet. So retirement is hopefully many seasons off still. I guess what would make me retire is if my current player was holding the team back, and there were no spots open on other teams.

Well I am currently on my first build, I haven't really put too much thought into how long I want my career to be. Probably after regressing for a few seasons I will reassess at this time and decide at that time.

First time I retired a player was because i became inactive with that player and wanted to come back and just start with a new guy. Fresh, and try being a max earner, but having no money sucks.

Tom Pedersen is my first player and he will retire when he becomes permanent free agent. As long as a team need him he will play. But at the same time I do see Tom Pedersen as a one franchise player so if he gets dumped by Calgary all plans might change.

I had to retire Sebastien Primeau because he was on the decline in terms of TPE's and it affected his play. He was a strong second goalie in New Orleans after a good career in Minnesota but then I had other things going on in my life that got my focus elsewhere so added that to a declining player that is why I retired him. I came back a few years later and here I am now enjoying this re-create who I play as Sebastien's son.

I retired Tony Flow because I did a pretty bad job updating him overall, and he didn't pan out to be a particularly good player. A utility winger on the lowest line was all he amounted to in the SHL after a strong juniors career. This was back in 2017 though so I don't really remember much of what was going on there.

My first re-create was instantly after I retired my first player. I still had a hype for this league. I had a pause only after my second player. Reason was hype.

The first player I had was Eero Hamalainen, I had to retire basically because I came back from being inactive during a busy school year and my player had basically dropped out of the league after being a really solid player for 800 TPE.

The first time I retired was with my first player; First-Name Last-Name. It was def a weird feeling as he was my first sim player ever so retiring him was bittersweet, scoring the OT game 7 cup winner was a good way to go out tho so no complaints.

Oh boy this is something I've thought about a lot. I'll choose to retire my player when I feel she's had a satisfying run. It's not about accolades or wins it's all about vibes. I've considered retiring a few times over the last few months because of all sorts of reasons from lack of interest to interpersonal issues staining my experience in the league. For now tho Cranberry's not going anywhere >:3

The first time I retired a player, I'd gone IA and was convinced to come back for some reason. It didn't really work out for me as I quickly went IA again. Third time's the charm, as they say. I imagine retiring this player will be a bit tougher as I've actually managed to stay active and plan on continuing to earn throughout my career.

Valieva will retire in 29 seasons in Baltimore, much wiser, at peace with herself, with a few Cups and awards. She will still play with Liebold, Bergmark, Fry and all the S68 class, and they all plan to move to the same retirement home in their 80s.
