(1,793 words. Ready to grade)

The Russian Junior Team is proud to announce the team for the S50 WJC. On the management part of the team is @thiefofcheese and @RaginCajun who will be leading a strong team forward in this recent liberation from the evil clutches of the Czech Empire. So, without further ado here is the team as we have it.

Ivan Maximus @thiefofcheese

Ivan will be joining the team this year. Playing his sophomore year for the Anaheim Outlaws saw Maximus be the 6th best scoring center with 48 total points and taking a whopping 107 hits this season. Proving yet again Russian Machine Never Breaks. With a face off percentage of 52.11% and his ability to score even strength and on the powerplay proves that Ivan will be an important force on the dot for the Russian team.

Skao Anazibf @nour

Anazibf from Novosibirsk will be called up for the Russian team. Anazibf had an amazing last season for the Detroit Falcons netting a total of 28 goals for second place in the SMJHL. Anazibf also tied for second in most points scored for a center at a total of 60. Anazibf also was 5th for points per 20 minutes at an impressive 1.14. With a 51.74% at face offs Anazibf will bring another strong, hard scoring center to the already impressive forward corps of the young Russian team.

Jakub Bruchevski @JaytheGreat

Bruchevski also had a stunning season for the St. Louis Scarecrows and shows why the Russian forwards are to be feared in this junior tournament.  Bruchevski scored a total of 24 goals this season tying him for 6th place in the SMJHL. Bruchevski was also 4th for assists proving that all around he is a scoring threat that will shoot or pass leading to a net in goal regardless. Bruchevski unsurprisingly led the Centers in the J for a total of 61 points. Bruchevski also was 6th in the league for points per 20 minutes at an impressive 1.13 with a whopping 22 in +/- putting him at 4th place. Bruchevski also was 9th in the league for face off percentage at 53.76% proving that he will dominate at the dot for the Junior Russian team. Add to this he was dominate on the power play with a tie for 4th with 7 power play goals this season. Bruchevski also dominated with a point scoring streak of 14 absolutely crushing the league with the runner up being a mere 8. On top of all this insane scoring and playmaking the younger center also was 4th in hits taken at 110 proving the Russian forward corps are terminators in disguise or that the dominance and physicality this young team is going to bring to the WJC this tournament is going to be a dominant and highly remembered force to be reckoned with on the offense.

Valery Sokolov @forseti

Not much a lukewarm body to fill a role. Huzzah?

Andrei Petrikov @mdubz

The Anchorage Left Winger will be joining the Russian Junior team this year. Petrikov tied 7th for best scoring left wings in the SMJHL this season with a total of 41 points. Petrikov was also first in penalty shots with a total of 4 this season. Petrikov will prove to be a solid offensive addition to an already impressive array of talent within the Russian offense.

Alexei Rykov @RaginCajun
Rykov hailing from St. Petersburg brings his offensive talent from the Carolina Kraken to the Russian Junior team this season. Alexei tied 7th with fellow teammate Bruchevski for goals at 24. Rykov proved himself the sniper he claimed to be yet again this season with a 4th best showing in shooting percentage with a 18.46% to his name. Rykov was also 3rd highest scoring left wing in the SMJHL with a total of 54 points to his name. Rykov also had a ludicrous 1.34 points per 20 minutes to his name. Rykov also proved that his sniper talents were extremely clutch this season coming in tied 1st for game winning goals with a total of 6 and a tied for 1st in game tying goals with a total of 3. Hopefully Rykov can bring his strong clutch sniper game to an already stacked forward offensive corps.

Khabib Nurmagomedov @khabib

Khabib will be joining the Russian Youth team from the Detroit Falcon. Khabib came in 4th for left wing point scoring with a total of 51. Khabib also came in 2nd for hat tricks this season with a total of 2 to his name. Khabib brings an impressive offensive talent to the Russian team and will add to the impressive depth already on the team in the realm of offense.

Jagger Fouquette @Waters

The Man, The God, the Destroyer of Records from Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada the transfer to Russia is the biggest name in the SMJHL. The offensive juggernaut from the Detroit Falcons showed the essence of Russian dominance and comes into the Junior team as a keystone to the offensive production. Jagger was 1st in the season for goals with a whopping 33 on top of that Jagger was 1st in Assists with another whopping 39. Unsurprisingly Jagger lead left wings and the league in points for a whopping 72 this season. Jagger was also 1st for points per 20 minutes with an insane 1.43. Jagger tied for second in power play goals with a total of 7. Jagger also tied for 1st for game winning goals alongside teammate Alexei Rykov. Jagger is the pinnacle of the SMJHL and is prime move and shaker for the Russian offense and will be the spearhead leading the charge for the junior team. Поехали!

Artem Mozgov @diacope

Free agent, Russia, Bada bing, Bada boom.

Alex Petrenko @traphag

Petrenko the top scoring rookie of S50 will be joining the Russian Junior team in his freshman year. Coming from the Anaheim Outlaws alongside teammate Ivan Maximus the young defenseman will be a welcome addition to the much more anemic corps of defensemen. Petrenko did an impressive 33 points this season in his freshman year proving that he brings an impressive offensive ability to his game and an excitement to see what he can accomplish in his sophomore year in the J as well as seeing where the young powerhouse will land in the SHL draft.

Georgy Gorbachenko @The Breakbot

Georgy a defenseman for the Colorado Raptors will be joining the Russian Junior team this season with a solid approach this season. While only scoring 10 points in his sophomore year in the SMJHL he did have a solid 49 shots blocked bringing a solid defense to the Russian team that will be much needed with a young backend especially in goal. Hopefully Georgy can bring stability and a calm to the Russian net that will be needed for victory this tournament.

Derek Bohne Jr. @wumaduce

Bohne a defenseman from the United States and transfer to Russia brings a solid defensive presence and seniority that will be much needed on a very young backend of the Russian Junior team. With an impressive 22 +/-  which tied him for 4th alongside teammate Jakub Bruchevski this Colorado Raptors dman will be the lynchpin to keeping opposing forwards tied up and out of play in order to protect and present the ability of a medal this tournament for the Russian Junior team.

Samat Beibitzhanov @Duff101

This young Russian who has not even been drafted yet will see the callup from his youth development team in Russia in order to be put into the net for what is a very young, and inexperienced goaltender duo. There is the hope that this young Russian will not only prove himself in net but will help improve his draft prospects by showing everyone what he must prove and how he can hang in a situation a bit out of the norm. Samat will be a welcome addition and management is excited to see what a young goaltending duo can prove to the rest of the WJC.

Oleg Igorevich Burov @Sleepy

Oleg will be joining also in goal a young prospect for the Anchorage Armada who will in all hopes proves to be a stable though yet unproven addition to the net. Coming out of youth development in Russia and being drawn straight into the WJC there are hopes it will help with his development within the Armada program and give not only the Russian IIHF coaching staff but also the Anchorage Armada ideas of where they can help the young Russian phenom grow. We look forward to a long prosperous career with great interest.

Julien Villeneuve @adamantium

This young Charles Leclerc I mean Monegasque boy decided he should play hockey and wisely decided to do so for the glory of Team Russia. Julien brings the ability to smack the ever-loving shit out of anyone who stands toe to toe with him. Already showing in his rookie season the propensity to smash the face of anyone who engages him in the SMJHL.  Julien tied for second with total fights this season with a total of 3 and tied for 2nd with total fights won via Knockout with a 1 to his name. Julien also proved a solid 17 points to his name while playing for the Halifax Raiders and will bring his anger and ability to throwdown to at least discourage and add to the confusion at the dot.

Dwayn Petatuyin @Petatyutin

Lukewarm body, wears skates, Russian. Fin.

Sergi Volchenkov @Idontgivetkachuk

Definitely dead, Russian, Maybe skates.

Wyatt Ruschkoff @Sand

A kind of body person thing hailing from Armavir, Russia. He comes from the Carolina Kraken alongside teammate Alexei Rykov. He brings an ok offense at 14 points but and a decent defense at 45 shots blocked. He will provide some shoring up of a rather young backend but nothing spectacular other than he will stand in the puck thankfully.

Vadim Malichov @lizzywho

A warmish body from the Anaheim Outlaws hailing from Novokuznetsk. He will be filling in for the lack of defenseman on the Russian Junior team. He was 6th in hits this season with a total of 108 and also won 1 fight so he brings a physicality missing from the game especially on the defensive end but otherwise he will not likely be adding a ton to the game other than the ability to hit hard and repeatedly which will be needed.

Gunnar Petrov @Hanson94

Another lukewarm body but at least one that produces points tied for 8th for points per 20 minutes at 1.08. This Russian zombie also from the Anaheim Outlaws, why are you killing our Russian boys Anaheim?, will pair with Malichov and provide at least a scoring potential in conjunction with Malichov’s ability to hit people so it should even out somewhere.
