Hello all and welcome to another edition of sports beat tonight we will be tracking the S41 entry draft so hold onto your seats as this draft was headlined by the one and only Flacko Lagerfield. FLACKO LAGERFIELD- With 233 goals, 428 points and a pair of scoring titles who else but Flacko should have went first a perennial top player in the league since being taken first overall Flacko has been the kind of role model you want in the SHL. It was at his predraft interview when asked, if he would help the struggling children stuck in Appalachia pay off there school lunch debt. Not only did Flacko pay it off but he kicked the bullies that went to that schools asses, a true testament to the kind of character Flacko was. Players around the league raved about Lagerfield from day one, Legendary mike izzy said {hes the kind of talent you build around and other teams can't game plan for, if your thinking hes gonna pass hes gonna deke by and score his vision and hands are excellent pretty much hes everything you look for in a star} those words carry a lot more weight when they come from a legend like that's mouth. When asked about what he thought about being named the best player from the s41 draft we caught up with Flacko and he had this to say. { FUCK THOSE KIDS and there lunches i got bills to pay to fuck heads} A man of character and grace hes to you FLacko. 1 70 point season 2 60 point seasons 4 50 point seasons Alex Andani- with 67 goals 169 points and ONE 52 point season under his belt Alex our 2nd overall pick in this draft didn't quite live up to expectations despite having all the talent in the world and to his credit that one 52 point season. During his playing career players would marvel at him in practice and rave at the puck handling ability he had the issue with alex was always getting into the dirty areas and that's something that typically separates the top flight players in any league. Later in his career he did bulk up some playing with tampa whjere he had his best seasons while maybe he shouldn't have been taken at 2nd we have seen bigger misses before. 1 50 point season Piotr Czerkawski- Coming in at number 3 our favorite CZECH MATE, Checking in with 168 goals, 393 points and one hell of a rap sheet prior to declaring for the SHL draft. Legend has it Pitor once called in a bomb threat to the special Olympics although never convicted these rumors circulated on draft day as Piotr had a shot at going number one. thourghout his career he has changed teams more then a few times and has produced almost everywhere hes called home. starting with a 46 point season in juniors for Montreal he took his talents then to the SHL scoring over 50 points 4 times and scoring over 28 points for 3 different teams and over 50 for two hats off to whats been a great career with more to come. CZECH MATE 4 50 point seasons scored at least 28 points for 3 SHL franchises scored over 50 for 2 SHL franchises LOTS OF POINTS FOR CZECH national team Forfeit - Now heres a guy that just never showed up to play long live the 4th overall fortieth 0 50 point seasons 0 lunches paid 0 domestic violence's 1 missed pick Reginald MacIntyre Ole Reggie has been a nice pick here at 5 not Overlay great but certainly not a bust a very serviceable D man in his tenure in the SHL. Hes put up over 30 points 4 times and has been a plus player for the last 5 seasons, hes also known for switching his teammates water bottles into vodka bottles just for the giggles of it. During s 46 he appeared in a Budweiser real men of genius commercial and killed that role and also starred recently for Manhatten winning a 4 star cup in the process, Ole Reggie aint quite done yet as his numbers show last season he posted a +22 rating with 26 points not to shabby for the grizzled vet career goals 69 NICE career points 318 4 30 point seasons 2 broken vodka bottles Lightning Jones - With 45 goals and 80 points lighting is next up on the list. While being a highly touted prospect coming into the s 41 draft Jones never lived up to expectations, being from japan drafting him was a gamble to begin with and it certainly did not pay off for the panthers. While being a superb play maker in juniors for Detroit his style of play just never translated, he would hold on to the puck to long and try to make the plays he made in juniors but as we all know in the SHL if you just don't have as much time and space and that's where Jones failed. RIP 1 20 point season 1 team player 1 HUGE BUST Kristaps Ball- coming in at number 7 having scored 86 goals and a remarkable 343 points the blue line baller Kristaps Ball. having career highs of 14 goals 44 assists and 56 points Ball was a true Baller never one to shy away from contact either, in S48 Ball had 53 points along with 88 hits and 110 shots blocked a true star at both ends of the ice. the draft is a funny thing and can make you shake your head, either you end up with lighting Jones or Kristaps Ball clearly the right choice was ball here in my humble opinion a sure fire hall of famer when its all said and done. Ball was on the Tampa team in S50 that suffered a reverse sweep at the hands of Calgary. =[ 4 40 points seasons 2 50 point seasons 17 sexual harassment charges Daniel Danill cant find this dude no where fuck em 1- does not compute Dayymo Ralchankinov with 147 goals, 352 points and a large amout of baggage Dayymo comes up next on our list. Dayymo was a hot shot rookie coming out of montreal and did not dissapoint, while not being quite as crazy good as some others on this list he performed better then alot of players taken at this spot in the draft. During his career he has been a consistent team guy and a local legend in Winnipeg having played his entire career there. 1 50 point season 3 40 point seasons 32 kegs tapped Mattias Enqvist only 50 goals and 138 points Mattias was kind of a 1st round bust, while not being the worst player taken in this spot only 50 goals from a 1st rounder can be a bummer. a big time stud coming out of juniors after a 57 point season, he would never top 39 points while wearing an SHL jersey AND NOW WE SKIP AHEAD TO THE PLAYERS STILL ACTIVE IN THE SHL. Kata Vilde- An absolute steal when you consider players taken ahead of Kata. With still 1694 of TPE Kata trails only Pitor Czerkawski who rings in with 1760. Kata had 4 shutouts this season and is not slowing down anytime soon, being one of the stronger net minders in the SHL and starring for an always dangerous Calgary team Kata remains a strong force in the league. TPE RANKINGS OF STILL ACTIVE PLAYERS Piotr Czerkawski-1780 Kata Vilde-1694 Flacko Lagerfield-1422 Reginald MacIntyre1337 Benjamin BLUE*undrafted-1252 KRISTAPS BALL-1061 Dayymo Ralchankinov-955 When picking the best player of this draft its somewhat close as Piotr has more TPE than Flacko but Flacko has more accolades as well as being this seasons reigning points leader. Time will tell how this drafts s tory is told with only a few more seasons for both players its gonna be a hell of a finish to see who can eek out more of a legacy. Round 1: 1. No disrespect to the two excellent skaters listed above, but I’d argue Kata Vilde is at least as good and likely better than both of them. Franchise goalies capable of winning cups and carrying their team to the playoffs every year don’t grow on trees.

Could maybe heavily focus on the second pick in that particular draft and why that person is the best thing to ever hit the ice......just a thought
