Double Media Week - Holidays Edition - ready to grade  ~7000 words

Welcome to the SHL top 100 players, first of all I really liked this list when Argar made it and I felt always excited to see it and check where I was on and how my teammates and friends did. Now that Argar is gone and the last list was back in S50, I want to give it a try by myself. Don't kill me if you doesn't like it.

I want to say thank you to the voters that helped me and send me their ballot. Thank you, guys. (I could always need some more, season 58 is coming too, so hit me up if you want to be a part of it)

Eligible for this top 100 have been all players that have played in the SHL before S57 and didn’t retired. The List is not based on TPE more on sim success (most based on the last years 56/55/54) and personal impressions of the voters!!!

There have been 148 players that get at least one vote from the ballots. I am happy that we got a player from every team that made the list.

So, let’s get ready

SHL TOP 100 PLAYERS FOR SEASON 57

100. Jakob Hamr (S50)– D – Tampa Bay Barracuda
  Barracuda
Score: 28,83
Jakob Hamr is opening the top 100, the Tampa Bay Barracuda defender is a shot blocking machine and set a new career high with 220 shoots blocked. His team is getting better so we should see more from the defensive defender in the future.

99. Ryan Shepard (S50) – C – Chicago Syndicate  syndicate

Score: 29,33
The Syndicate center is set for their 2nd line, but his production is going down the last two years since his career high year in season 54. Playing for one off the best and stacked team in the league has always two sides. But he will get back up and could climb up the ranking in the next years.

98. Ivan Maximus (S50) – C – Texas Renegades  Renegades

Score: 30,00
Ivan Maximus had his best season last year setting a personal high in points (37) and with +11 he is on his way to get this career +/- positive again. With Texas getting stronger we will also see Maximus rising up.

97. Strom Chamberlain (S52) – G – Winnipeg Jets Jets

Score: 30,17
Strom Chamberlain is a coming star of the league and will be the top goalie for the Jets for a long time.  He finished his second year as the starter and was able to improve his stats a little bit. Looking forward what he will do in the future.

96. Steven Moyer (S43) – C – New Orleans Specters Specters

Score: 30,67
The Specters veteran center rebound from a terrible S55 campaign, but was still far away from the point per game player he once was. With regression in his bag and New Orleans starting a rebuild, his production could go down again. We still hope the best for him.

95. Dale Miller (S47) – RW – Hamilton Steelhawks Steelhawks

Score: 32,17
Dale Miller just coming off of his 3rd Challenge Cup with the Steelhawks and his 2nd best season with 40 points. Playing for the best team of the league helped him. But with regression hitting him and the young guys in his neck, there is a lot of pressure to handle with. Good luck.

94. Augustus Wang (S50) – LD – Buffalo Stampede Stampede
Score: 33,83
Another member of the S50 class, that makes it 4 out of the first 6. He has the potential to get one of the best defenders of the league playing for one of the best teams. I am pretty sure we will see much more from him in the future.

93. Cillian Kavanagh (S52) – G – Texas Renegades  Renegades

Score: 34,50
Cillian Kavanagh is our second goalie on the list, the young netminder joined the Texas Renegades this offseason to battle for the Nr. 1 spot with Godmann. That’s nothing new for him, he had split the season with Kryyst in San Francisco. His save % and GAA aren’t impressive, but joining the Renegades should boost his stats for season 57.

92. Gunnar Soderberg (S47) – RW - Chicago Syndicate  syndicate

Score: 36,50
Gunnar is an 8 season SHL veteran, he joined the Syndicate 3 seasons ago and never was able to produce on the same level like he did in Tampa Bay. Much has to do with the Syndicate is a stacked team. The potential is there, but with regression coming in there isn’t to much time left to show.

91. Nicholas Williams (S43) – LW – Los Angeles Panther Panthers (got traded from New Orleans recently)
Score: 37,33
Williams made the list, but age/regression is slowing the two-time champion down. Season 56 was his worst season in points since season 46. He recently got trade from the rebuilding Specters to the Panthers. Maybe the change of scenery brings back the Williams from recent years.

90. Dominic Montgomery (S45) – D – New England Wolfpack
Wolfpack
Score: 37,50
He is the oldest guy in a Wolfpack jersey and a few years into regression. Since joining the Wolfpack he turned into a good two way Defensceman that hits, blocks shots only his points total went down a little bit. If he could keep his play up, we will see him again next season on the list.

89.  Mathias Seger (S46) – D – Minnesota Monarchs Monarchs
Score: 37,83
Seger is the Monarchs top dog in the defense now and in the near future. The Monarchs captain isn’t known for a offensive style of palying, he is more the typical stay at home defender with a little bit of a two-way game. He has to block a lot of shots during a season.

88. Samat Beibitzhanov (S52) – G – Atlanta Inferno Inferno
Score: 38,67
Another goalie of the S52 draft class, will be excited how they keep on going. Samat joined the Inferno for the Season 56 to take over the starter job. He did a solid job with a 0.915 SV%.

87.  Lil’Manius (S43) – LW - New Orleans Specters
Specters
Score: 39,83
He entered the last chapter of a very good career. Once he was a feared power forward but regression slowly pulls him down and his point production as well. He still plays an aggressive game with a lot of hits, hopefully he can keep it up for some more years.

85. Markus Tegernako (S50) – G – Minnesota Monarchs Monarchs
Score: 41,17
At 85 we have a goalie draw. Tegernako is one of the big reasons why the Monarchs could win a few games more in S56 than in S55. He reduced his GAA a little bit, even when his Save% wasn’t the same like in S55 (pretty sure because he didn’t have to face over 2k shoots this time). Tegernako will be a importan piece when the Monarchs will get better in the future.

85. Luca Del Vecchio (S51) – G – Baltimore Platoon Platoon
Score: 41,17
Beeing the starting goalie for the Platoon’s wasn’t the easiest thing and will not get much easier in the next seasons. Del Vecchio still pulls out some solid stats season after season.  Looking forward what he can do with a improved Platoon squad in a few years.

84. Phineas Gold (S50) – LW – Manhattan Rage Rage
Score: 41,50
The Manhattan winger is entering his prime years and will take over a 1st line spot in the near future. His production is going up year after year he is on his way to get a elite forward in the SHL. We definitely will see more from him in the future.

83. Frans Eller (S53) – G - New England Wolfpack Wolfpack
Score: 42,50
And here comes another goalie. Eller is one more guy to keep an eye on, because he will climb the standings up in the near future. After a great rookie season in 55 his season 56 wasn’t what Eller expected to have. We will see if he can bounce back immediately.

82. Nat Emerson (S45) – LD - Baltimore Platoon Platoon
Score: 42,67
With Nat Emerson of the Baltimore Platoon’s, we have another defender on the list, that is so much better on the own end of the game than on the other. He hits and block shoots a lot during his 26 minutes playing time a game.

81. Piotr Czerkawski (S41) – RW - Manhattan Rage Rage
Score: 42,83
Piotr joined the Rage in free agency and it was a good move for him. He got more points and hits than in season 55. It almost was on the same level like he had during his prime years in New Orleans. We will see if he could improve once more with his age.

80. Noah Gallagher (S47) – LW - Minnesota Monarchs Monarchs
Score: 43,50
Gallagher is a solid power forward, he doesn’t score that much but he hits a lot and lately started to block more shoots than normally. That seems to pay out for him, because hat had a career high year in season 56 with 36 points. Can he improve his game once more?

79.  Collin Gibbles (S46) – LW - Minnesota Monarchs Monarchs
Score: 43,83
And on 79 we have another Monarchs forward, Collin Gibbles. He is one of the few true defensive forwards in the league, with a little bit of a two way game. He isn’t the point per game player he once was, but its nice to see that players like Gibbles get some sort of recognitions as well.

78.  Poopity Scoop (S44) – RD - Los Angeles Panther Panthers
Score: 44,00
Poopity Scoop was a nice free agency catch up for the Panthers. The elite Defender was coming out off a bad year in Buffalo. He is a solid two-way defender that could help the Panthers this season.

77. Lyle Odelein III (S48) – LD - New Orleans Specters
Specters
Score: 44,50
Lyle is one of the big names left in New Orleans. He plays on the same level for years now and put out solid numbers every season. With the Specters going into a rebuild he probably has to change his game in a more defensive style.

76. Andrej Doskocil (S46) – RD - Manhattan Rage Rage
Score: 50,00
The Czech defender of the Manhattan Rage was never known as an offensive defender, he is the typical Stay-at-Home defender, but he was good for 31 points in Season 56 and so he set a personal career high, pretty good for a player like him.

75.  Nick Connolly (S48) – LW - Chicago Syndicate
  syndicate
Score: 50,33
Nick Connolly was part of the Syndicate’s 3rd line last season and set a new career high in Assists (23) and Points (38).  4 of his 15 goals have been game winner for the Syndicate. Compared to season 55 he started to play more physical and turned into a power forwards game. He got 104 hits, also a career high.

73. Jeff Brogan (S43) – LW - San Francisco Pride
pride
Score: 50,83
Jeff was during his prime years a point per game player, but last seasons his production went down. A side effect when your team starts a rebuild, he had to play a more defensive guy and his shot blocked rocket skyed to a 138.

73. Manuel Gotze (S40) – LW –  Atlanta Inferno Inferno
Score: 50,83
Gotze joined the Inferno via expansion draft after 3 years in Texas. He once was a great power forward scoring 20+ goals a few times in his career. But last season was a little bit off a down year for him. We will see if there is still some more good season in the tank or if his age will slow him down.

71. Cassius Darrow (S45) – RD - Seattle Argonauts
Argonauts
Score: 52,00
Another draw on 71. Cassius is the Argonauts top defender and is getting the most minutes a game.  Darrow normally is an outstanding offensive defender, he showed that multiple times in Buffalo. In Seattle he got more physical and set a career high in hits (110) and shot blocked (173). With Seattle improving and getting better, maybe Darrow will also get back more of his offensive drive.

71. Guy O’Shea (S52) – RD – Hamilton Steelhawks Steelhawks
Score: 52,00
Guy O’Shea had a break out season after joining the Steelhawks in the offseason. After a good rookie season in Texas his sophomore season in Hamilton was outstanding. Normally he should have been a candidate for the most improved player, improving his stats from +3 to +34 and 19 points to 42 points. If Guy keeps up on this pace he will be a leagues top guy earlier than later.

70. Brady McIntyre (S39) – LD - Atlanta Inferno Inferno
Score: 52,50
The old boy still shows what he can bring on the table.  After 15 years in a blizzard jersey, he joined the Altanta Inferno in the offseason. He is an example that a high age doesn’t mean that you slow down. He set a career high in shot blocked with 114.  Hopefully he can keep it up.

69. Oliver Cleary (S48) – LD - Manhattan Rage
Rage
Score: 52,67
After a disappointing season 55 with the Los Angeles Panthers, he joined the Manhattan Rage in the offseason. This move was the right decision for Cleary, he bounced back and set a new career high in assists (30), points (38) and +/- (+38). Cleary in his prime years, is the defensive cornerstone for years to come in Manhattan.

67. Joseph Weston (S50) – RW – Calgary Dragons Dragons
Score: 53,33
On 67 with a Dragons draw. Joseph Weston is a natural goalscorer and he had a very good season behind him where he set personal highs for goals (17), assists (29), points (46) and +/- (+44). Weston is just at the beginning of his prime years and we are going to see much more from him in the next seasons.

67.  Boris “The Beast” Poroshenko (S47)– LW - Calgary Dragons Dragons
Score: 53,33
The Beast joined the Dragons in the offseason and it was a good move for him. He turned into a great power forward and had the 3rd most hits by a forward in Season 56. He also sets personal highs in every relevant category this year.

66.  Kaarlo Kekkonen (S51) – LW – Texas Renegades
Renegades
Score: 53,67
Kekkonen had improved every season since he got called up from the juniors and it will not take too long till he will take over the regain from Texas legend Kvalheim. Keep an eye on this guy, because he is going to make him a name in the league.

65. Mika Kandinsky (S48) – C – Toronto North Stars
Stars
Score: 54,33
Mika once was one of the most hyped rookies back in S50, but since them it was a bit of a roller-coaster for him. His production went up and down but never got back in the region he was in his rookie season. Season 56 was an up season again, so what will season 57 be like for him? Another down year or can he stop the trend.

64. Hugh Jazz  (S49) – RW – Hamilton Steelhawks Steelhawks
Score: 54,50
Hugh is another one of the highly skilled Steelhawks offensive players. He had some good season the last years, but never so outstanding like some of his teammates had. But who says that this couldn’t change, because Hugh just entered his prime years.

63. Jax Aittokallio (S43) – C – Manhattan Rage
Rage
Score: 57,17
Manhattan’s veteran center isn’t slowing down, he just had a point per game season and he better keep that play up, because it will take some time till somebody could replace him in Manhattan.

62. Olivier Cloutier (S46) – RW – New Orleans Specters
Specters
Score: 57,67
Olivier had a high flying season 55 with 59 points, but he dropped back to 41 points in season 56. He was still the New Orleans top producer. Probably the downward trend keeps on with the Specters trading away good assets.

60. Bobby Lane (S50) – RW – Toronto North Stars Stars
Score: 57,83
Bobby Lane swings in at 60. The Toronto winger had a lot of up and downs during his career. The 21 goals he had last season was the most per season for him. With Toronto improving pretty fast, he should get into a position where he could shine more as well. He will be a player to watch for the coming seasons.

60. Bo Kane (S49) – C - Seattle Argonauts
Argonauts
Score: 57,83
Another draw. Bo Kane is a great goalscorer and had his 2nd 25+ goal season in a row.  He is Seattle’s best offensive weapon and the only one they have so far. There is a lot of pressure on his shoulders to carry around. We will see how he could manage this, because it will take some time till he gets help in the offense.

59. Samuel Michaud (S50) – LD – Hamilton Steelhawks Steelhawks
Score: 58,00
The Steelhawks defender not just one a cup again, but also had a top year by himself. 41 points by a defender is pretty good, even more impressive if he normally is known to be a defensive defender. He is just entering his prime years and is on his way to get an elite defender.

57. Emiko Spector (S48) – G – Edmonton Blizzard   Blizzard
Score: 59,83
Emiko is the first member of the Blizzards organization on this list. His save% is around 0.91 for many seasons now and in the middle of the pack. 8 Shutouts was a personal high for him this season and shows that he could be so much better.

57. Commander Shepard (S46) – LW – Winnipeg Jets
Jets
Score: 59,83
So many draws ?.  The Jets Commander have had multiple 40+ points season in the past. The two way forward had to fill out the defensive part on his line. He just entered regression so he could play on this level for a few more years. Looking forward if he could climb up the standings.

56. Alexander Wachter (S51) – RW – Texas Renegades
Renegades
Score: 63,17
The Texas winger made a huge step forward last season and got an Aidan Richan Trophy nomination therefore. Setting career highs in goals (25), assists (29), points (54), +/- (+22) and hits (49). Alexander doesn’t hit his prime years yet, so watch out for him getting better.

55. Tibuk Soonika (S46) – G - Chicago Syndicate syndicate
Score: 63,83
The Syndicate goalie just had his best year in season 56. Reduced his gaa from an already low 2,45 to 2,03 and an 0,925 save %. Can Soonika repeat or top such a good season, his prime years are coming to an end slowly.

54. Mika Mayfield (S45) – C – Minnesota Monarchs Monarchs
Score: 64,00
Mika rejoined the Monarchs after 5 years in New Orleans this offseason and just pulled out another 40+ points season and blocked 81 shoots for a personal career high. There is still some gas left for a few more good seasons.

53. Jakub Bruchevski (S49) – RW – New England Wolfpack Wolfpack
Score: 65,00
Jakub just had a back-to-back 40+ point season. He is in his prime years and is getting more and more ice time in New England should boost his point totals a little bit and maybe make him a point per game player. We will see.

52. Barrett Blackwood (S48) – RW – Edmonton Blizzard
Blizzard
Score: 66,00
Barrett came back from a disappointing season 55 in a fashion way. 30 points more for a total of 56 compared to season 55. No surprise that he was an Aidan Richards Trophy candidate. He will never get Edmonton’s top guy as long as the Blizzards vets are still producing that great.

51.  White Goodman (S51) – G – Texas Renegades
Renegades
Score: 66,50
White is the last of the Renegades S51 draft class and was good goalie between the pips for the Renegades in the past seasons. With 2,59 GAA it was the lowest he ever had so far. He backstopped the team to some great wins.

50. James Truong (S46) – LW – Edmonton Blizzard Blizzard
Score: 66,83
James Truong comes in at the half time mark. The Blizzards forward best and 2nd best season have been the last two he played. It seems he is getting better at a time where others start to slow down a little bit.

49. Alexander Selich (S45) – RD – Buffalo Stampede Stampede
Score: 67,00
Buffalo’s German defender is the oldest defender they have in their roster, but also the best one. His points total went down over the years, but that’s no surprise because he changed position from forward to defender.

48. Jean-Paul Boivin (S49) – LW  - Edmonton Blizzard
Blizzard
Score: 67,67
Boivin just set a personal high in assists (28) and finished his 3rd consecutive season with 40+ points. He isn’t shy of using his body no matter if to hit somebody or block a shot. Boivin is one of the few top guys in Edmonton that is on the better side of regression.

47. A Jobin (S53) – G – Hamilton Steelhawks Steelhawks
Score: 68,00
Being the goalie for the Steelhawks sounds to be easiest job in the SHL world, but is this true? A Jobin has this job at the moment and he did a pretty good job. 0,932 sv% and 1,795 GAA are outstanding stats and don’t forget his 10 shutouts. There is no doubt that if Jobin keeps this level of play he will be one of the elite goalies in the league.

45. Goku Muerto (S43) – LW – Winnipeg Jets Jets
Score: 68,33
On 45 we have again two players with the same score. Let’s start with Goku Muerto. The veteran goalscorer of the Winnipeg Jets finished the season with another 20+ goals year, 4th time he did it in his career and I guess we will see 5th or 6th time as well.

45. Jon Forty-One (S48) – C – Edmonton Blizzard Blizzard
Score :68,33
Another high scoring Blizzard forward, Jon Forty-One showed everyone that his great season 55 was no one hit wonder and repeated it in season 56 getting two more points (total 48) than the year before. Jon seems ready to take over the top center spot.

44. Barret McCarthy (S44) – LD – Manhattan Rage Rage
Score: 68,67
McCarthy of the Manhattan Rage is two-way defender with a lot of ups and downs threw his entire career. Season 56 was somewhere in the middle for him, but with 12 goals he had a personal record and 3 of them have been game winning goals.

43.  FR Finn-Rhys (S49) – LD – Edmonton Blizzard Blizzard
Score: 69,33
FR Finn-Rhys is getting top pair minutes in Edmonton and does a lot of the defensive work there.  He reached for the 2nd time in his career 35 points with personal highs in goals (10), hits (108) and blocked shoots (98). Not to far away till he will get the nr. one defender on the Blizzard’s depth charts.

42.  Aleister Cain (S43) – G – New Orleans Specters Specters
Score: 69,50
Aleister was the Specters starting goalie for a decade, while he had his problems off the ice his on ice performances never gave something to complain about. In Season 56 he had to split his games with his back up goalie. He recently announced his retirement, so this will be his last appearance in the top 100 list. Good luck in retirement

41. Mikael Choybuk (S44) – RW – Calgary Dragons Dragons
Score: 70,33
At 41 we have Mikael Choybuk, a life long Dragon.  A few years in regression made him getting better, at least it looks that way. Season 56 was his 6th consecutive 20+ goals season and his 2nd 50+ point season. We will see if he can pull out another 20+ goal season and make it 7.

40. Harry Carpet (S47) – G – Toronto North Stars Stars
Score: 70,50
At 40 we have Harry Carpet goalie for the Toronot North Stars. He just coming out of his best season with a 2,84 GAA and a 0,917 sav%. He also had 4 shutouts, what would be possible for him, if he wouldn’t play in the Big Lake Division and playing so often against the big 3 offensive teams?

39. Michael Fox (S46) – LW – Los Angeles Panthers
Panthers
Score 72,83
Michael Fox joined the Panthers before the season 56 started. With 47 points it was his best season so far also setting highs in hits (83) and shot blocked (60). We will see if Fox could keep that uptrend or if regression will start slowing him down.

38. Philipp Winter (S43) – RW – Los Angeles Panthers
Panthers
Score: 74,00
Back to back players from the Los Angeles Panhters. At 38 we have an oldie but goldie, Philipp Winter. He has now 8 seasons in a row with 40+ points, where 4 of them have been 50+ and one a 60+ point season. Winter doesn’t get any younger but he has the work ethic to stay competitive for quite some more seasons.

37. Matt Kohlin (S46) – C – Buffalo Stampede Stampede
Score: 74,50
Matt Kohlin points production exploded after he joined the Buffalo Stampede 3 season ago. 179 points in 150 games. He has everything he needs to climb up the standings. Pulling out another season like in 54 would help a lot what isn’t impossible with the support he gets in Buffalo.

36. Slap McShotty (S47) – C – New England Wolfpack
Wolfpack
Score: 74,83
At 36 we have the heart of New England’s offense, Slap McShotty. It doesn’t matter how much talent the team lost in the last season, Slap is always producing and just set a personal high in goals (20) in season 56.

35. Lallo Selman (S47) – RW – Chicago Syndicate
syndicate
Score: 75,00
Season 56 wasn’t what Lallo Selman expected, it still was an OK season with 25 goals and 48 points. But after a 61 points season in 54 and a 59 points  season in 55 everyone expected more. New season new try, he will bounce back in season 57.

34. Rex Kirkby (S43) – RD – Atlanta Inferno Inferno
Score: 76,83
Rex played the last two season in New Orleans, but joined the Inferno for the coming one. While he had a pretty successful first season there, The second one wasn’t as good as the first but still a solid one and he was the best defender there. Looking forward what he can do in Atlanta.

33.  Karlstrasse Scholz (S46) – RD – Edmonton Blizzard Blizzard
Score: 76,67
At 33 we have another Blizzard player with Karlstrasse Scholz. His season 56 wasn’t as good as his season 55. But the boy is still very dangerous and always ready to fire a laser from the blue line. He had a career high 16 goals, 6 of them came from a power play. There are some good years left for Scholz.

32. Austin Roenick (S47) – LW – Manhattan Rage Rage
Score: 76,83
Austin is improving year after year since he joined the Rage in season 52.  Last season he finally hit the 50+ point season setting a few career highs, most goals (26), most assists (29), most points (55) and best +/- (+28). Roenick should be able to repeat his performance.

31. Peter Larson (S46) – G – Manhattan Rage
Rage
Score: 77,50
Larson had one of his best seasons as the Rage starting goalie. He got 30 wins and 2,30 GAA last year. For the 2nd season in a row he had 7 shutouts. Larson just entered his regression years, but there is already a younger guy in the pips ready to take over. We will see how long Larson can stay that high in the ranking. Good luck.

30. Gabriel Johnson (S48) – RD – Hamilton Steelhawks Steelhawks
Score: 78,17
Gabriel is another one of the Steelhawks pretty offensive defender corp. He is the quarterback of the Steelhawks power play and he isn’t afraid to shot the puck by himself, 16 goals are 2nd best league wide. Johnson will keep on being a dominant force on the blue line.

29.  Luke Thomason (S43) – C – Manhattan Rage Rage
Score: 79,00
Luke Thomason is an offensive powerhouse since he joined the league. He was a more physical player at the beginning of his prime years and is now a smarter player still not scared to use his body if needed. In the last 5 years he was always over the point per game, like an old wine he is getting better with the ages.

27.  Knox Booth (S49) – G – Los Angeles Panthers Panthers
Score: 79,17
There is now doubt that Booth is one of the best goalies in the league. S56 was his break out season, 0,934 sav% is pretty impressive and the 2nd highest a goalie had since switching to the FHM era. His great season ended with a Ron Mexico nomination and a John McBride Award. Should he play another season like he did, he definitely will advance into the ranks of the elite players of the league.

27. Andreas Kvalheim (S45) – C – Texas Renegades Renegades
Score: 79,17
The big Norwegian of the Texas Renegades, is the best two-way player of the league and won the Jeff Dar Trophy 4 times total and for the last 3 seasons. For a long time he was the only weapon Texas had. In season 56 he had a slow start into the season but he turned it around an finished pretty strong. No reason why he shouldn’t have a great season 57.

26. Josef Kubinec (S47) – LW - Texas Renegades
Renegades
Score: 80,17
At 26 we have another Texas player with Josef Kubinec. One spot before his line mate. Kubinec biggest problem is his impermanence. A good season always followed by a bad one. S56 was a good one for him. 62 points put him into the top 10 (7) in league scoring and his improvement brought him  Aidan Richan Award. I really hope he can break the routine and get another good year.

25. Hippo Passamus (S43) – LW – Buffalo Stampede
Stampede
Score: 80,33
Hippo Passamus is Buffalos old guy but also one of the best players they have. Despite his age he still is a great power forward and just set a career high in points (58). A lot of young players are coming for his spot in Buffalo, but if he keeps on playing like that, they have to wait a little bit longer.

24. Eko van Otter (S47) – C – Atlanta Inferno Inferno
Score: 81,33
Eko is the face of the newly established franchise in Atlanta. The center just set a personal high in points (58), assists (34), hits (80) and shots blocked (41).  He has a lot of productive years left and could get a top 10 player in the next seasons.

22. Brennan Kennedy jr. (S46) – LD – Calgary Dragons
Dragons
Score: 81,67
The Dragons defender comes in at 23. Brennan Kennedy jr. is a perfect two-way defender, very good at both ends of the game. Gets a lot of points in the offense and blocks al lot of shots in the defense. Season 56 was his 3rd 40+ point season in 4 years.

22.  Tony Pepperoni (S43) – C – Edmonton Blizzard
Blizzard
Score: 81,67
Pepperoni was one of the most dominant players for a few seasons, but season 56 wasn’t what you expected from a player like him. It still was a 50 point season but if you look at his stats you can see a slight downward trend. Hope we get the old Pepperoni back in S57.

21. Jimmy Slothface (S46) – C – Los Angeles Panthers
Panthers
Score: 81,83
Jimmy is the highest ranked Panther on this list. He joined the Panthers during the season via trade from New Orleans. Season 55 was his break out season where he got 64 points, followed by 54 points seasons in 56.  He made 15 points in 12 games for Los Angeles, if he could keep this he is going to have another top season.

19. Elizabeth Doyle (S51) – G – Buffalo Stampede
Stampede
Score: 82,00
Elizabeth Doyle comes in at 19. She is always among the top goalies since taking over the starting job in Buffalo 3 seasons ago.  One Challenge cup, one Jesster Award, one Razov Award and one McBride Award are already under her belt. Many to come if she keeps her level of play.

19.  Ola Wagstrom (S44) – RW – Manhattan Rage Rage
Score: 82,00
Wagstrom is a elite offensive player, since many seasons he is always near to the 60 point mark and getting over two times. His 42 goals in season 53 is still very impressive and nothing he probably will do again, but keep on trying.

18. Esa Parmborg (S47) – C – Calgary Dragons
Dragons
Score: 82,33
At 18 we have the Parmking himself. The Dragons center had an outstanding season 56, going from 35 points the year before to 61 points (8th best league wide). Esa is in the middle of his prime years and will continue to play on that level for quite a few more years. He is not far away from entering the top 10.

17. Parker Smeb (S46) – RD – Chicago Syndicate
syndicate
Score: 83,00
Parker Smeb was known as a hard hitting defender with great playmaking skills. In season 56 he stopped running down everyone that comes near to him and focused more on his offensive play, resulting in a 55 points season with record high in assists (40).

16. Nick Brain (S46) – C – Winnipeg Jets
Jets
Score 83,33
Nick Brain had some down season after a great start in the early fifties, but he turned it around the last two season and is now on his way to become an elite player in the league. With 56 points last year he had a personal high in points and assists (34).

15. Bobby Sharp (S46) – C – Buffalo Stampede
Stampede
Score: 83,50
Bobby Sharp is great playmaker and the head of Buffalo’s first line. He can hardly be separated from the puck and doesn’t make many mistakes. He also shows some great plays in the own end and isn’t shy to block a shoot if necessary.  He is on his way into the top 10.

14.  Michael Scarn (S46) – C – Hamilton Steelhawks Steelhawks
Score: 84,33
Michael Scarn is a back to back Challenge Cup winner. S55 he was a main reason for Buffalos Cup success. He joined the Steelhawks in the offseason and won another cup in the end. Scarn is playing on a high level, with 4 consecutive 50+ point seasons and over 100 hits.  Pretty sure we will see him entering the top 10 next time.

13. Elijah Jones (S49) – RW – Atlanta Inferno Inferno
Score: 85,83
The only thing that holds Elijah back from a top 10 place was that his season 55 wasn’t an elite one. It was his best season till that time. In the offseason he joined the Atlanta Inferno and should not regret that move, because he took another step forward and produced a 60+ point season. If he shows such a performance again, he will establish himself as an elite player.

12. Julio Tokolosh (S47) – RW – Edmonton Blizzard Blizzard
Score: 86,17
Julio has the same problem like many guys have, after a top season comes one that isn’t good enough and the reason why he isn’t higher on the list. Tokolosh has what it takes he should just show a little more consistency and he would be one of best players.

11. Aaron Wilson (S47) – RW – Hamilton Steelhawks Steelhawks
Score: 86,33
On the doorsteps to the top 10 we have Hamilton’s Aaron Wilson on 11. Wilson has now 6 consecutive seasons where he scored 54 or more points, with a phenomenal season 55 where he got up to 75 points.

10. Guy Zheng (S46) – RD – Atlanta Inferno Inferno
Score: 86,50
Guy is the highest ranked Inferno player on this list and and the 2nd highest defender. After many years in New England and one in Hamilton he joined the Atlanta Inferno last offseason. Guy is a great two-way defenseman with a little bit more attention to the offense. Playing a lot of minutes every night is also showing some effect on his points total. He set a new career highs with 49 points, 76 hits and 37 assists.

9. Maxime Bouchard (S45) – LW – Calgary Dragons
Dragons
Score: 86,67
Maxime Bouchard played his 10th season as a Dragon and just in time for his anniversary he pulled out a big season with 61 points. Also his hits went up a little bit it looks like Maxime gets a little more physical in the last third of his career, I really like that.

8. Dick Clapper (S46) – LW – Hamilton Steelhawks Steelhawks
Score: 86,83
Dick Clapper had an amazing season 55 and a great season 56 and earned his ranking for that. His move from New England to Hamilton brought him into the circle of the elite players. Playing for the Steelhawks makes some things easier, but others harder. Clapper is on a level where things are going well easier.

7. Corey Kennedy (S47) - D – Chicago Syndicate syndicate
Score 87,00
The Syndicate defender comes in at 7 and is the highest ranked defender on the list. Season 55 was a very low one for him, but in season 56 he came back in a very convincing way and showed everyone what the hell he could do. A 52 points season as a defender, with career high in goals (18), hits (107) and shot blocked (124).

6. Kata Vilde (S41) – G – Calgary Dragons Dragons
Score: 88,17
At 6 we have the Dragons long time starting goalie Kata Vilde. It must be true that goalies get better with the ages, because Kata just set a league record in season 56 with a sav% of 0,936 and don’t forget that 1,66 GAA. In large part it was thanks to him that the Dragons had such a great season.

5. Barry Batsbak (S46) – C – Calgary Dragons Dragons
Score: 88,83
Barry Batsbak comes in at 5 and is the 3rd Dragon in the top 10 and the highest ranked too. Barry is improving a lot over the last seasons and had an outstanding season last year, where he finished 5th in league scoring. A record year for him and he found hi scoring touch with 29 goals.

4. Daniel Smeb (S46) – LW – Chicago Syndicate
syndicate
Score: 91,00
On 4 we have the 2nd Smeb coming in, Daniel Smeb. The Syndicate winger is a great point producer who can score goals and have good eyes for the last pass. While he wasn’t able to repeat his season 55 stats he still had a respectable S56, with 59 points.

3. Martijn Westbroek (S47) – C – Chicago Syndicate syndicate
Score: 91,83
Martijn Westbroek finished last season as the 2nd best scorer in points and goal scored as well. Can you imagine that a 70-point season was just his 2nd best? If his season 55 would have been a little bit better he might would captured the top spot, he still have some years left to get there.

2. Theo Morgan (S47) – RW – Hamilton Steelhawks Steelhawks
Score: 95,50
It was such a tight race for the top spot and Theo Morgan just felt short. Season 56 was his big show. Morgan took home everything you could win, Challenge Cup and multiple awards. Theo is going to dominate the league for quite a few more years.

1. Monkey D. Luffy (S49) – LW – Buffalo Stampede
Stampede
Score: 96,00
And the winner is … Monkey D. Luffy from the Buffalo Stampede. There is not much to complain about him. He is playing on a high standard and had his 3rd consecutive 30 or more goals season and also was over 60+ points in that seasons.

Facts...

oldest player on the ranking: Brady McIntyre S39
youngest player on the ranking: A Jobin & Frans Eller
team with the fewest players: San Francisco Pride & Tampa Bay Barracuda have both 1 player
team with the most players: Hamilton Steelhawks with 10 players

If somebody want to be part of the expert comitte, just hit me up. Would be nice to get a few more.

Hope you guys enjoyed it. We will be back for season 58.
