Welcome back to the SHL Top 100 and again I am pretty late but better than never.  Tongue  (I try to be early next time, lol)

The list is made, thx again to my experts. We had a total of 153 players that get points from the experts, thats a lot and shows how different every experts things about some players.
If you made the list, well done, you deserved it. If not, try harder next time.

Because i don't have to much time left at the moment. I am not going to write something about every player.

60. Lyle Odelein III (S48) – D – New Orleans Specters Specters // +17

Score: 66,50
Past Seasons: S57 – 77
What a jump for the Specters defender. Lyle Odelein getting some recognition for being a good defensive defender. To be honest, playing for New Orleans it’s the best way to shine as defensive guy. Playing the most of the time in your own zone blocking shots and give out hits. 244 blocked shots are pretty impressive and among the top of the league.

59. Kaarlo Kekkonen (S51) – LW – Texas Renegades Renegades // +7
Score: 53,67
Past Seasons: S57 – 66
Kekkonen had his first point per game season last year and there is no reason why he is not going to repeat it or even top it. Kekkonen is one of the rising superstars in Texas that are going to be a very scarry squad in the future. Kekkonen normally is a sniper but with 40 assists he showed some playmaking skills. He will continue climbing the list and may take a big step next year.

58. Phineas Gold (S50) – LW – Manhattan Rage Rage // +26
Score: 68,33
Past Seasons: S57 – 84
Phineas Gold made a big jump in the standings and has turned into one of the main factors of the Rage offense. He is getting more and more ice time and is coming out of his best seasons. Manhattan has a lot of guys in regression and it will be Gold’s time to carry the team to a new era.

57. Jean-Paul Boivin (S49) – LW – Edmonton Blizzard Blizzard // -9
Score: 69,00
Past Seasons: S57 – 48
While Jean-Paul Boivin had a pretty good seasons and finished first time in his career above a point per game, he somehow falls in the list. Time to show everyone that he can do it again and get back up.

56. Bobby Lane (S50) – RW – Toronto North Stars Stars // +4
Score: 69,50
Past Seasons: S57 - 60
Bobby Lane made a small jump on the list, he just was a little bit under a point per game last year, but a main reason why Toronto was so much better and is finally going to challenge for a playoff spot. We are going to see another big jump from him, because he and the guys around him are getting better.

55. Samuel Michaud (S50) – D – Hamilton Steelhawks Steelhawks // +4
Score: 70,33
Past Seasons: S57 – 59
Michaud is a great defender for the Steelhawks and in the SHL. He made a small jump on the list and with the changes in the Steelhawks defense he is going to be their top guy on the blue line. Lot of potential for a record breaking seasons. We will see what he can do.

54. Goku Muerto (S43) – LW – Winnipeg Aurora Aurora // -9

Score: 70,50
Past Seasosn: S57 – 45
Winnipeg’s old boy is falling a little bit. While he was one the 1st half of the list last time, he falls to the 2nd half this time. He had one of his best seasons, but is there enough left in his old body to repeat it. Regression is going to hit him hard and he likely will fall again next year. But there are not many players left that can play on this level on his age. Keep on fighting old boy.

53. Luke Thomason (S43) – C – Manhattan Rage Rage // -24
Score: 71,00
Past Seasons: S57 – 29
At 53 we have another old dog on the list. Luke Thomason just missed the point per game season for the first time since many years. Thomason is getting older but should still have some good season left, not sure if he could reach that level again that he had during S52 – S56 but he should be close to that.

52. Peter Larson (S46) – G – Manhattan Rage Rage // -21
Score: 71,17
Past Seasons: S57 – 31
And next we have another member of the Rage franchise. Peter Larson was the starting goalie for the Rage for quite a long time, but this time will come to an end in the near future. His seasons was quite a good one, maybe he could keep it high with less games in front of him per season.

51. Mika Kandinsky (S48) – C -Toronto North Stars  Stars // +14
Score: 71,33
Past Seasons: S57 – 65
Mika Kandinsky is getting better again, after this absolute disaster in season 55 he is on his way back to be the player everyone was hoping for. Just a little bit shy of the point per game player, but with the potential to go over in the upcoming season.

50. Harry Carpet (S47) – G – Toronto North Stars Stars // -10

Score: 71,50
Past Seasons: S57 – 40
In the middle of the pack, we have the North Stars goalie Harry Carpet. He has a great season and should have quite a few of them left. With the team in front of him getting better he should also get back up again on the list.

49. Augustus Wang (S50) – D – Buffalo Stampede Stampede // +45

Score: 71,83
Past Seasons: S57 – 94
That’s on of the biggest jumps on the list this year, but it’s also no surprise. Wang was the highest scoring defender last seasons with 61 points. Wang is on the rise and now Buffalos top defender. He should get a lot of ice time and time on the power play and penalty killing to repeat his season. He is going to make another big jump if he pulls out another season like he just had.

48. Andreas Kvalheim (S45) – C – Texas Renegades Renegades // - 21
Score:
Past Seasons: S57 – 27
Kvalheim had a solid season, but everyone expected more from him and he personally did too. He is still an offensive power house that likes to hit his opponents as often as he can. With his wingers getting stronger every seasons he should regroup easily and get back up again to his Jeff Dar Award times.

47. White Goodman (S51) – G – Texas Renegades .renegades: // +4
Score: 73,00
Past Seasons: S57 – 51
We have another Texas player at 47. White Goodman was the starting goalie for the Renegades for his first years in the league. Last season he had to split his starts with Kavanagh but it looks like that this worked for him pretty well. But will this be a long time solution for him? We will see, for Texas it couldn’t be better with such a goalie duo.

46. Slap McShotty (S47) – C- New England Wolfpack Wolfpack // -10
Score: 73,17
Past Seasons: S57 – 36
McShotty had to do more defensive work than he was used to do in the past seasons. Blocking a lot of shots in the own end costs him points on the other end. The team around him gets better so he could spend more time in the offensive zone and get back to over a point per game player.

45. Karlstrasse Scholz (S46) – D – Edmonton Blizzard Blizzard // -12
Score: 74,00
Past Seasons: S57 – 33
It looks like that Scholz production is going down slightly the last years. He still is a good offensive defender, but not as great as he once was. He has some years left to show everyone that he still can be that guy he once was.

44. Kata Vilde (S41) – G – Calgary Dragons Dragons -38

Score: 74,17
Past Seasons: S57 – 6
Kata Vilde is the 2nd oldest player on the list (only Manuel Gotze is older) and just had an OK year, but compared to the season 56 it was a bad one. That’s a main reason for the big drop. Vilde is going to drop more in the future, because this is going to be one of the last seasons before the starting job will go to someone younger.

43. Knox Booth (S49) – G – Los Angeles Panthers Panthers -16
Score: 74,33
Past Seasons: S57 – 27
Los Angeles Panthers goaltender had once more a good year, with great stats. But he wasn’t as good as he was the year before and that could be a reason why he couldn’t hold his position from last year. Nothing Booth could change with another good seasons where he is the backbone of the Los Angeles Panthers.

42. Austin Roenick (S47) – LW – Manhattan Rage Rage -10
Score: 74,83
Past Seasons: S57 – 32
Roenick just fall a few points short to be a point per game player for the second consecutive season. But he improved his physical play a little bit, getting more hits and blocked more shoots as he used to do. That could be a big reason why he remained in the Top 50. But there should come more from him if he wants to stay their or improve his place.

41. Mika Mayfield (S45) – C – Minnesota Monarchs Monarchs +13
Score: 75,00
Past Seasons: S57 – 54
Mika made a big jump in the standings. For the first time in his career, he was a point per game player and far ahead from the rest of the team. He led his team in goals and had 16 points more than the 2nd highest player. We will see if he could repeat it for season 58.

40. Matt Kholin (S46) – C – Buffalo Stampede Stampede -3
Score: 75,17
Past Seasons: S57 – 37
At 40 we have Buffalo’s center Matt Kholin. Kholin had another year with more points than games and has established himself as an elite player on the SHL. In Buffalo he has a good supporting team around him, that makes your life a little bit easier on the ice and Matt is a big factor as well.

39. Cillian Kavanagh (S52) – G – Texas Renegades Renegades +54
Score: 75,50
Past Seasons: S57 – 93
Cilian Kavanagh made the biggest jump on the list. Going all way from 93 to 39. His move from San Francisco to Texas has paid of very well for him. He had career highs in SV%, GAA and Shutouts. For the moments he has to split his starts, but he seems to be the guy that Texas trusts against the big teams in the league.

38. Lallo Selman (S47) – RW – Chicago Syndicate syndicate -3
Score: 75,67
Past Seasons: S57 – 35
Lallo bounced back last seasons with a nice 72 points campaign and a Challenge Cup to close out the season. He just entered regression and should still be competitive for more years to come. And with a team like Chicago have, it’s always possible to have a incredible season.

37. Jakub Bruchevski (S49) – RW – New England Wolfpack Wolfpack +16

Score: 75,83
Past Seasosn: S57 – 53
Jakub had his best season so far and turned into a dangerous power forward. Scoring goals and crushes body’s where he can find them. It will not be easy to repeat such a season. Its doable but it will be though.

36. Nate Emerson (S45) – D – Baltimore Platoon Platoon +46
Score: 77,0
Past Seasons: S57 – 82
Nate Emerson made a very big jump too. He is one of the few guys that really get recognized for their defensive play. But he also lead his team in points as a defender, life wasn’t easy in Baltimore and will be for quite a time. Hope he can make the best out of it.

35 Hippo Passamus (S43) – LW – Buffalo Stampede Stampede -10
Score: 77,17
Past Seasons: S57 – 28
The Stampede Hippo is getting older, but he doesn’t slow down. Still getting a lot of points and doesn’t get tired running into body’s. The question is how long he could keep up with the young guns. But for now he still can do it.

33. Gabriel Johnson (S48) – D – Seattle Argonauts Argonauts -3
Score: 77,50
Past Seasons: S57 – 30
Gabriel did make a very bold move, going from a cup contender to a team that is far away from winning a cup in the next years. Johnson will have to adopt his play a little bit, because playing in Seattle is slightly different from what he was used to play in Hamilton.

33. Rex Kirkby (S43) – D – Atlanto Inferno Inferno +1
Score: 77,50
Past Seasons: S57 – 34
Another “old dog” quite high in the list. Rex only seems to get older on the paper because on the ice he is still in a very good shape. 52 points as a defender is pretty a impressive output. Really hope that we see him some more years producing on that level.

32. Alexander Wachter (S51) – RW – Texas Renegades Renegades +24
Score: 77,83
Past Seasons: S57 – 56
Wachter was a top 5 goal scorer last season and lead his team in points too. That was his 2nd season with over a point per game in his 5th season in the league. He is still improving and a few years away from regression. He is one of the reasons why Texas is on the up swing and just entering their cup window.

31. Tibuk Soonika (S46) – G – Chicago Syndicate syndicate +24

Score: 79,00
Past Seasons: S57 – 55
Soonika made a big jump on the list and came in at 31. He won 40 games out of the 56 he played last seasons with a GAA 2.26 (2nd best among the starting goalies). Soonika has 1 or 2 more season as the starting goalie left, enough time to get one more cup?

30. Jon Forty-One (S48) – C – Edmonton Blizzard Blizzard +15
Score: 80,00
Past Seasons: S57 – 45
We open the top 30 with Edmonton’s Jon Forty-One. After a phenomenal season Jon Forty-One made a big jump. First time he went over a point per game and with the offense Edmonton have, he could do it once again.

29. Josef Kubinec (S47) – C – Texas Renegades Renegades -3
Score: 81,17
Past Seasons: S57 – 26
Kubinec stopped his roller-coaster seasons with a 2nd season where he hit the point per game mark. While regression starts hitting him a little bit, he still should be able to play on a high level for few more seasons. With the supporting staff around him he has now in Texas it should get easier for him.

28. Philipp Winter (S43) – RW – Los Angeles Panthers Panthers +10

Score: 81,33
Past Seasons: S57 – 38
What a jump for the Panthers veteran winger. Winter isn’t slowing down on the contrary, he turns it up again. After a small dump in points in seasons 57 he came back strong in season 58 going out with 67 points. Can Winter do it once again, 1-2 very good seasons are still left in that old corpus.

27. Barrett Blackwood (S48) – RW – Edmonton Blizzard Blizzard +25

Score: 81,50
Past Seasons: S57 – 52
Blackwood is another member of the powerful offensive squad in Edmonton. Blackwood has found his game and is now doing a great job for his team. He is in his prime years now and the Blizzard will need his services to go all the way to a cup victory before their window is closing.

26. Brennan Kennedy Jr. (S46) – D – Calgary Dragons Dragons -4

Score: 82,17
Past Seasons: S57 – 22
He’s slipping down the rankings a bit, he is a corner stone of the Dragons defense and will be it for some more years. His offensive potential is pretty good to be fair among the bests among defenders.

25. Cassius Darrow (S45) – RD – Seattle Argonauts Argonauts +46

Score: 82,33
Past Seasons: S57 – 71
Cassius was a little bit overlook last season, but this year it’s very different. Darrow isn’t a big offensive guy the reason why he got respected so much is for his defensive play. He hit’s and he block’s more shots than his goalie has to catch at least that’s how it feels. How long till a puck brake something in pieces?

24. Michael Fox (S46) - LW – Los Angeles Panthers Panthers +15

Score: 82,67
Past Seasons: S57 – 39
Michael Fox point curve shows into the right direction and for the first in his career he went over a point per game. Since joining the Panthers, he is getting better and better every seasons. Is Los Angeles a place were the old dogs get their 2nd spring?

23. Parker Smeb (S46) – RD – Chicago Syndicate syndicate -6

Score: 83,00
Past Seasons: S57 – 17
Parker Smeb is one of the great offensive defenders in the league. He slowed down a little bit, but he was still on of the big players in season 57. It will be though for him to keep that level, because there are a few young guys ready to take over for him in Chicago. But if he plays like he did, there is no reason to make a step back and let the young guns doing the job.

22. Eko van Otter (S47) – C – Atlanta Inferno Inferno +2

Score: 83,50
Past Seasons: S57 – 24
Eko climbed 2 spots in the ranking and comes in at 22. He is big offensive weapon and was a great combo with Elija Jones for the Inferno. Jones is gone now and a lot of work in front of him for the coming season.

21. Aaron Wilson (S47) – RW – Hamilton Steelhawks Steelhawks -10
Score: 84,00
Past Seasons: S57 – 11
Wilson is a great forward for the Steelhawks since many years. One of the guys that never really took a year off and just had his 7th season where he had more points than games. That’s pretty impressive. Wilson is still far away from slowing down and could extend his streak. Defensively he isn’t that strong as some others, but when you are always on the other end that’s not that big of an issue.

20. Ola Wagstrom (S44) – RW – Manhattan Rage Rage // -1

Score:84,50
Past Seasons: S57 – 19
Ola have had a great season and the 13 season veteran is still on of the big boys in the league. This was his 6th season where he was above the point per game mark. Wagstrom is getting older, but his scoring touch seems to be as good as it was.

19. Guy Zheng (S46) – LW – Atlanta Inferno Inferno // -9

Score: 85,67
Past Seasons: S57 – 10
Guy Zheng fell back a few spots because his season 57 wasn’t as impressive as is season 56. He played still the same kind of game, but a little bit less hits, points or shot blocked. For season 58 Zheng is switching position and will no try his luck as a winger.

18. Theo Morgan (S47) – RW – Hamilton Steelhawks Steelhawks // -16

Score: 85,83
Past Seasons: S57 – 2
The Morgan made one big step back and falling down all the way from 2 to 18. Big reason could be that he wasn’t able to repeat his last season. I mean 72 points was far away from a bad season. Theo has everything you need to make the jump right back into the top 10.

16. Elizabeth Doyle (S51) – G – Buffalo Stampede Stampede // +3

Score: 86,00
Past Seasons: S57 – 19
Elizabeth made a slightly jump on the list and is the highest goalie on the list. The Buffalo netminder is playing excellent seasons after seasons and was the best goalie last year among the starting goalies. She took home the John McBride Trophy last year. I am pretty sure that her trophy bag will get bigger within the next years.

16. Dick Clapper (S46) – LW – Buffalo Stampede Stampede // -8

Score: 86,00
Past Seasons: S57 – 8
After 3 years in Hamilton where played his 3 best seasons, he found his way back to New England for the coming season. He already got traded to Buffalo, to get a chance on another cup. His average point per game is going down a little bit since S55 but it’s still above one point per game. He should be able to keep it up there.

15. Elija Jones (S49) – RW – Hamilton Steelhaweks Steelhawks // -2

Score: 87,00
Past Seasons: S57 – 13
Two spots down for Elija Jones. He wasn’t able to repeat his offensive output from two seasons ago, but he played a little bit more defensively. But he still pulled out a good season if you call in all. Jones moved on and will start the season for the Hamilton Steelhawks and have a legitimated shot to blow up his points.

14. Nick Brain (S46) – C – Winnipeg Aurora Aurora // +2
Score: 87,50
Past Seasons: S57 – 16
At 14 we have one of the leagues best two way forwards. While he had to block a lot of shots in the own end, he still could get 69 points in the offense. Nick should be able to pull out a few more great seasons.

13. FR Finn-Rhys (S49) – D – Edmonton Blizzard Blizzard // +30
Score: 87,67
Past Seasons: S57 – 43
At 13 we have Edmonton’s defender FR Finn-Rhys making a huge jump and is now knocking on the door for the top 10. Finn-Rhys had a hell of a season with the Blizzard finished as the point’s best defender (with Augustus Wang, but with more hits and shots blocked as him). Looking forward if he can repeat his season and establish himself as one of the best defenders.

12. Tony Pepperoni (S43) – C – Edmonton Blizzard Blizzard // +10
Score: 87,83
Past Seasons: S57 – 22
Here we have a Blizzard legend with Tony Pepperoni at 12. The forward is competing on a high standard for years and only had a few down years (if you could count a 50 points season as a down year, lol). The old dog shows that age is no excuse for slowing down. Hope we are able to see him a few more years up here.

11. Corey Kennedy (S47) – LW – Chicago Syndicate syndicate // -4
Score: 88,33
Past Seasons: S57 - 7
Corey Kennedy went down a few spots, because he couldn’t get to the level, he played the year before but we are talking about a pretty high standard. There is no doubt that he is one of the best defenders in the league and the highest ranked defender in the top 100. Could he get back into the top 10 next year?

10. Barry Batsbak (S46) – C – Calgary Dragons Dragons // -5 @Katth
Score: 89,00
Past Seasons: S57 – 5
Here we are, at 10 we have on of the Dragons elite forwards with Barry Batsbak. The Dragons forward just had another great season and is showing consistent for years now. In fact he got better over the last seasons and has earned his place among the SHL elite players for now. It will not be easy to stay in that group, the pressure is big.

9. Maxime Bouchard (S45) – LW – Calgary Dragons Dragons // +/-0 @Weretarantula
Score: 89,17
Past Seasons: S57 – 9
Another Dragon at 9. Maxime Bouchard regained his position form last year. Pretty much because he played on the same level and produced the same way he did in season 56. The Dragons offense isn’t one of the high flying as some others are but they are on the better half of the league and Bouchard is a reason why. We will see if he could keep it up.

8. Bobby Sharp (S46) – C – Buffalo Stampede Stampede // +7
@Nerio
Score: 89,50
Past Seasons: S57 – 15
Booby Sharp made the jump into the top 10 going from 15 to 8 after a very great season. It looks like that Bobby is back on the level he had back in Season 54 when it comes down to point producing. When you look at his defensive play you pretty much see an increase and the reason why he made it into top 10 this season.

7. Esa Parmborg (S47) – C – Calgary Dragons Dragons // +11 @Steelhead77
Score: 90,83
Past Seasons: S57 – 18
At 7 we have the parm king himself Esa Parmborg. He is Calgary’s highest TPE forward and has finally found his game over the last seasons and is now one of the leagues best playmakers. With all the parm he eats we are going to see his name quite for a few more seasons in the top group.

6. Jimmy Slothface (S46) – C – Los Angeles Panthers Panthers // +15 @slothfacekilla
Score:
Past Seasons: S57 – 21
He went from 21 to 6 It’s not the biggest jump we have seen this year but it’s one of the most impressive ones because he passed a few elite players too. But no surprise if you won the Ron Mexico Trophy last season. The air is pretty thin in the top 10 and we will see if he can repeat it and stay there.

5. Daniel Smeb (S46) – LW – Chicago Syndicate syndicate // -1
@Kylrad
Score:
Past Seasons: S57 – 4
It was a hell of a season for the Syndicate winger. If his shooting % would be a little bit better he would have had a legitim shoot at the scoring title and getting the top position on that list. Smeb still have some years left to get there.

4. Michael Scarn (S46) – C – Hamilton Steelhawks Steelhawks // +10 @Trautner
Score: 92,67
Past Seasons: S57 - 14
The last season leagues dominator coming in at 4. Michal Scarn had a 94 points season and is only out of the top 3 because he laid back in season 56 and let Theo Morgan shine. Otherwise, he would be the top guy on the list. Scarn is a member of the deadliest offense in the league and if nothing dramatic happen he will be there for quite a while and will push for the top spot next season.

3. Monkey D. Luffy (S46) – LW – Buffalo Stampede Stampede // -2
@TnlAstatine
Score: 92,83
Past Seasons: S57 – 1
Monkey D. Luffy lost his spot at the top of the ranking and coming in on the 3rd place. Monkey is an elite goal scorer if not the best in the entire league at the moment. Monkey doesn’t like to block shots, but with that offensive qualities he brings in that is something you can oversee a little bit.

2. Julio Tokolosh (S47) – RW – Edmonton Blizzard Blizzard // +10 @Julio Tokolosh
Score: 94,33
Past Seasons: S57 – 12
Tokolosh coming from outside the top 10 all the way up to 2. Tokolosh roller-coaster seasons seems to be over and he has established him as one of the leagues top performer. Tokolosh isn’t shy to use his body and throw out a hit or two per game or get his body into a shot to block it. That’s what the fans want to see a good two way player with a nice scoring touch or a sniper with good defensive work?

1. Martijn Westbroek (S47) – C – Chicago Syndicate syndicate // +2 @sköldpaddor
Score: 97,67
Past Seasons: S57 – 3
And the last man standing is Martijn Westbroek. With a somewhat surprising but clear distance to the 2nd place the center for the Chicago Syndicate made the race. Westbroek is a great all-round offensive player, he can score goals, make plays, hits or blocks shots and he is pretty great at the face off dot as well. If he keeps all up that high, he should be able to hold his position next time.
