Colorado HOF Induction

Hosting the SMJHL All Star Game today, the Colorado Raptors are announcing that Cassius Darrow (@hhh81) will be inducted into the Colorado Raptors Hall of Fame. Cassius Darrow was drafted by the Colorado Raptors 8th overall in the Season 44 draft. Since that day, Darrow has been an integral part of the organization. While his play on the ice has been stellar, his leadership off the ice has been second to none across the entire SHL. Darrow amassed 15 goals and 85 assists for 100 points in 150 games played and was the co-winner of the S44 Zach Miller Trophy. He was named Captain of the Raptors for two seasons before going on to win three Challenge Cups with the Buffalo Stampede. Darrow has been an incredible presence in the league and great representative of the Colorado Raptors organization.

Discussion of Darrow’s legacy cannot be complete without the mention of his influence in bringing in famed Colorado GM, Johnny Hamilton. Hamilton GM’d the Raptors from Season 48 to Season 53 after Co-GMing the team in Season 47. Hamilton went 140-129-31 in his career for the Raptors, led the Raptors to win the Laurifer in S50 and S53, won the Occasus Trophy in Season 50, and the Nour Harrack Award in Season 50. Hamilton is second all-time in Colorado wins as a GM and has been influential in mentoring his successors. The culture Hamilton built in Colorado lives on today thanks to his hard work and affable personality.

The Raptors owe a great deal to both Cassius Darrow and Johnny Hamilton and will be enshrining their contributions forever in the Colorado Raptors Hall of Fame.
