Newfoundland DRAFT FACTS:
For starters, with this draft we have now eclipsed 100 players in NL history that have been drafted to the SHL, sitting at 104 total! - With the 6 players taken last night, this draft has the most NL players taken in a single draft since S62, when 8 players were selected. 
At 17OA, RD Lester Oiduser @mystick becomes the 4th NL player drafted to NOL, the first since TJ almost 10 seasons ago. They are the only two 'Zerks' to get drafted to NOL, with the other 2 coming from the LETH era 
With LW Guiness O'Bigbers @Sopath at 19OA, it's the 2nd draft in a row where an SHL GM/co comes out of NL (the J last season), and the 3rd time in 4 drafts (corey too).
Coming in at 26, RD Philip Fry @Wheels goes to BAP. It's the 2nd draft in a row where BAP drafted an NL player (wind last season), after never drafting a single Zerk post-WKP rebrand prior to that. Philip Fry is also the only known NL draftee to have been in space, maybe even the only draftee ever!
Right after Fry goes RW Matiss Ozolinsh @LampLighter at 27. It's the first NL player drafted to NEW since the aforementioned Soap in S57. He and Fry continue a recent trend of NL players getting selected back to back (TOR in s64, EDM in S63), and are the 6th NL pair ever to be selected back to back (including jucc and hammy in S53)
G Tummy Hurts @teztify goes to CHI at 37OA. As far as I can tell, he becomes the first NL [i]user[/i] to have multiple NL players drafted to the same SHL franchise (Suhonen in S55). Might need a fact check on that, or don't. Hurts also becomes the highest drafted NL goalie since S59, where Reno went slightly earlier at 34. - And finally, RW Hingle McCringleberry @Nutwagon goes to BAP at 53OA. Joining Fry at 26, this becomes a staggering 16 times total that an SHL team has picked multiple NL players in the same draft. It's the first time it's happened since CHI/TOR both did it in the S64 draft.
A great draft for Newfoundland! Teams that picked our guys are geniuses, and anyone that passed on them will be regretting that decision for at least a few minutes.
