The reason for that is that his village happens to have an amateur football club called Schubbekutteveen Voetbal Vereniging and they have proven to be quite the competent team for a club without many funds. Alexi Piastri is a huge racing fan, particularly the Indycar series. Some of his favorites are Alexander Rossi, Christian Lundgaard, Scott Dixon, Daniel Ricciardo, and his long lost cousin, Oscar Piastri.
It's not exactly a real sport, but the only thing that Egli really follows outside of hockey is competitive chocolate making. The Swiss duo of Palmiere and Kuntz have a real shot at gold in the world's this year.
