Shl Shl Shl

Welcome to All Star Week! The maximum is 8 TPE. Mix and match whatever tasks you please, but you will earn no more than 8 TPE.
The deadline is THURSDAY, NOVEMBER 23rd at 11:59 PM PST.
Please copy/paste the prompts (including the # of TPE) into your post; it makes it much easier to grade and track.
This PT is for SHL players and send-downs only. If your player is S74 or S75, that's not you.
One (1) affiliate claim from either PBE,  WSBL, SSL, or the ISFL will be accepted for 3 TPE! *if you’re claiming this and have a different username on the affiliate's site then you need to state that in your post to get credit.*
Please feel free to PM with any questions or concerns.
Code:
1. Milestones, up to 3 TPE.

Milestones are folded in with All-Star Week.

Link your Milestone claim as task 1 for up to 3 TPE towards your 8 total.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------
Post your claim in the milestones thread for tpe earned per stat, and then link that post in your ASW submission. This is done because the person who grades ASW will be a different person than double-checks milestones.

2. Written, up to 4 TPE - Shiny Grab Bag: Pick up to 4 topics related to the All Star Game to write about! Each topic is worth 1 TPE. Each answer must be 50+ words.
a. The presumable top forward line of both conference teams this season is two teammates plus one from a division rival. For the East, Lacksamus and Svoboda of New England will have their line completed by either Shoyo Hinata of Atlanta or Ricky Koivu of Philadelphia. In the West, Edmonton's Winter and Surkhi-Ze'ev teaming up with an old nemesis in Ekholm-Gunnarsson gives me the shivers as a goalie. Which of these top lines do you think will score more this ASG?
b. Both conferences also have two pairs each that played together all season. The East has the top pairings of the Wolfpack and Forge, while the West has those of Edmonton and Winnipeg. If you were coaching these games, would you keep those pairs together, or would you mix them up?
c. Goalie picks were intersting this year; only one cup finalist will suit up for this allstar game. Which goalie tandem - Time and Brzęczyszczykiewicz or Fantobens and Karsikko, would you pick to play in front of? Remember that in the All Star Game, the backup will get minutes!
d. Why should YOUR player have made the all star game, and why should you be the last man in? (If your player did make the all star game, argue for one of your teammates instead!)

Code:
3. Written, 3 TPE, The Teammate One (150 words min.)
Tell me about your teammate who made the all star game! Who are they, why were they an obvious choice to make the All Star roster, and what do you expect from them this ASG? (If more than one of your teammates made the game, pick one of those players other than yourself. If you are the only player on your team selected for the all star game so far, write about your team's candidate for last man in instead.)

Code:
4. Written, 3 TPE, Go Team! (150 words min.)

Which player(s) should your teammate in the all star game be on a line or pairing with? Why? Is it because the all-stars you chose are similar to the ones they play with on your team, or different? What combination will really unlock your teammate's game? (If you are the only player on your team who made the all star list so far, write this task about your team's candidate for last man in!)

Code:
5. Written, 3 TPE, Last Men In (150 words min.)
Argue for one of your teammates (not yourself!) to be the last man in for your conference!

Code:
6. Graphic, 3 TPE, Bright Lights, Big City!
Make a hype poster for an all-star of your choice, from your own conference! Include the fact that this is the All Star Game, the host city (Edmonton), and reasons to be excited for this player.

Code:
7. Graphic, 3 TPE, Happy SHL Day!

Make a hype poster for the all star game itself! Include the season number, the fact that this is the all star game, and include at least some reference to the game's location and at least one player from each conference participating in the game.

PROCRASTINATOR TASKS:
Code:
8. Written, 3 TPE, Lazy Reaction Content (150 words min.)

The Last Men In are now decided and the rosters are finalized. Who was a good pick? Who got snubbed?

Code:
9. Written, 3 TPE, See You Next Season! (150 words min.)

All Star Game is over and [TEAM] won! Who's your pick for the MVP of the game?

Code:
10. Graphic, 3 TPE, All Star's All Star
All Star Game is over and [TEAM] won! Create a game recap souvenir poster for the fans! Include stats and who won.
Once again this is due THURSDAY, NOVEMBER 23rd at 11:59 PM PST

Milestones: +3 TPE

2. +2 TPE

A) I think that Edmonton’s duo with Ekholm-Gunnarson will score the most in the All-Star game.  They were the most potent forwards during the regular season.  Combining a legend like Ekholm-Gunnarson with a premier talent like Winter is almost unfair.  The two of them alone have the ability to score 4 goals a game on a regular night.  Put in the relaxed atmosphere of an All Star Game and they have the makings of a total of 10 goals between the two of them.

B) To start the game you need to play the pairings together.  They know one another, they have played the season together, gotten to know where the other person will be and how to react on second nature to how the someone moves during a game.  However, if you are up in the game and seeing as this is about having a celebration for the players and fans, it would be fun to mix them up later in the game and have them work alongside another player for a few minutes.

3. +3 TPE

Unfortunately for the San Fransisco Pride only one player will be representing the Purple and Gold this season.  Hopefully something we change in the near future.  But the league made the right choice with the player going to the All Star Game.  Viktor Hargreeves is everything one would hope for in an All Star Game representative.  He is the team’s points leader, with the ability to win a game almost on his own.  He is a heart and soul person in the locker room, constantly filling it with positive energy and routing for the entire rosters’ success both on and off the ice.  Let’s be honest, this was not an amazing season for the Pride, they squeaked into the playoffs and were bounced shortly afterwards.  But a player like Hargreeves gives the team hope moving forward, we know brighter days are ahead and seeing someone who has worked as hard as they have be rewarded with an All Star nod is the right move by the league and the voters.

terrible change to all star week pass

“The Wheel of Time turns, and Ages come and pass, leaving memories that become legend. Legend fades to myth, and even myth is long forgotten when the Age that gave it birth comes again. ... There are neither beginnings nor endings to the Wheel of Time. But it was a beginning.”
