The Regina Elks just had an amazing Draft class of prospects and I am here to tell you allllll about it.

Going into the draft:
The Regina Elks were coming back after a disapointing playoff series loss to the berserkers. To add on to the bad news, Fan favorite and team captain Mercedes Bayley was graduating to the Majors. This posed a Major loss as Bayley had been Regina's top goal scorer for seasons and had arguably the best shot in the J's. Additionally, Regina traded their top assist machine Rowan O'Beirne to QCC. So it came to no suprise that the Elkies were looking to add some fresh blood to the Locker room.

Trades:
After scouting and seeing how deep this class was the team made a decision to trade some future draft picks for present ones. here's a review of Regina's offseason trades so far:

Draft results:

9 Overall:Violet Stoica User:Renomitsu
Thats right, GM reno selected another... RENO. The Team is simply estacitc to have double the amount of reno's!!! lookig at the player, Stoica is a center, from sweden with a healthy bank account of around 25 Million. They project to be a good all-around player with highlights in passing and shooting accuracy.

18 Overall:Bean Beanman Jr User:Seymour
Regina was super, super happy they were able to get Mr Beanman. Another center, they look to be an offensive powerhouse for Regina. Already, they will most likley be the best faceoff taker on the Elks! if there was one player that might one day look to replace Bayley's scoring output, it is him.

20 Overall:Inge Baardsen User:Urq660
Another Forward. Regina did well in this draft to fix a major hole of theirs. If Beanman Jr was to replace Bayley, Baardsen will certainly be meant to replace Rowan. I would wager that this player will end up being one of the best playmakers of the draft.

31 Overall:Mary Hollywood User:ihatereyson
I know what you must be thinking, ANOTHER FORWARD!!? But if you take a closer look at Regina's roster you will see why this draft class was so forward heavy for the Elks. Going into the draft, Regina has as Elk Troy Mclure put it, the best defensive core in the J's. Led by All-star Guy Incongnito, the Elks have an absolute fortress behind the blue line. All they need to win is upgrade that offence which they certainly did. Hollywood looks to be another lamp lighter for the Elks with great shooting accuracy.

38 Overall:Roman Cechmanek II User:prattk1987
Now they finally drafted someone that does not play offense. they do the exact opposite:They stop it. Roman fills another hole for the Elks replacing long-time starter Ally Mathieson.

52 Overall:Henri Losanov User:gaby
The Elks night was not over yet as they aw their DFA was still on the board. This pick adds solid depth to the goalie depth charts. Losanov and Cechmanek will be the duo of the future for the Elks netminding.

Draft review:
Overall, the Elks had a really good draft. They fixed and improved a major hole in their lineup by drafting 4 FORWARDS!!! They also added some solid depth to the goalkeeping department. These players are the future of the Elks organization and this writer cannot wait to see them in action!
