Option 2:

Any type of set play involving a point shot is good for Brooklyn. With so many options and opportunities abounding, it’s hard to pick just one.

Win the face off back to her as she steps into a bomb? Check.
Get the cycle out to her for the one T? Check again.
Drop pass into the zone with room to drive her home? Golden.

You can never go wrong letting her blast away at the puck until it goes in. She drives it as if trying to punch through everything.

Weather it goes in or simply becomes a solid rebound to dump in makes her more than happy. Every now and again we mix it up with patented slap passes and what not, but by and large Brooklyn Physt is in her happy place when she puts that Power of the Punch into her shots. That is her in the offensive zone at her finest hour.

Option 2 Graphic: Lily's favorite set play is the rotating square. As you can see, when Lily holds the puck, she has the four other offensive players surround her and link arms together, making an impenetrable wall around hr, protecting her from defenders and allowing her to protect the puck while moving forward on offense.

As a relatively young left winger only in his fourth professional season The Murray has always looked up to Ovechkin and like many of today's young wingers has modeled his game after the Great 8.  Well... most of his game.  In his opinion Ovi has too much finesse to his game with how Ovi scores goals.  The Capitals have long had a set play for o-zone faceoffs where the center gets the draw and dishes it back out to Ovi who then hits a clapper from downtown to hopefully score.  Using this as a template the Detroit Falcons coaches have instituted a similar set piece for The Murray.  The play starts in an identical fashion from an o-zone faceoff.  From there the center instead of dishing it back to an awaiting hippopotamus simply ties up the opposing center.  The goal of this play is for the murray to use his significant mass advantage and barrel into the scrum pushing the entire pile towards the net.  Then, in all the chaos Lahey finds the puck with his skate and kicks it just free enough for a quick wrister to score.

The stat that my player has created is a stat that measures the amount of grit a team has per 60 minutes. It measures intangibles, drive, heart, grit, sandpaper, and work ethic. each stat is measured individually by measuring aerobic capacity, distance skated, top speed, hits and blocks, passes completed and a couple more are all added together in a secret formula. Once those stats are added together they are divided by dekes attempted per 60 minutes, allowing to figure out how many players are "hot dogging it". The players that are high in this stat Squidwardo tries to hit the most in the games against them. This is a stat that multiple coaches have been trying to deduce and add into their repertoire. Multiple SMJHL teams have reached out to try and figure out what teams rank the highest in this stat but Tentacles has not released any of the rankings to the public.

There are way too many playing styles that leads to points for Kevin as a center. The game has infinite chances and possibilities for Kevin in the offensive zone. He always looked upon goal scoring instead of being a two way forward and getting sweet apples though. As a center goalscoring is a little bit more difficult when your in the faceoff circle, because your trying to win your faceoff and passing it. But one style that always leads to a goal is to win the faceoff and call for a pass to bomb it in the high corners. When it comes to assists however, its easier to get especially because your in the center. Because your in the center of the ice, you have way more coverage of the ice to pass the puck to any of your wingers, also even resulting in the satisfying tik tack toe motion which could be either a goal or assist.

Option 2: Salzberger is a bit fan of quick transition play and he thinks that having a goalie that can handle the puck pretty well can be a massive advantage that is hard for the other team to counter. Because of the massive puck-handling skill difference between the league goalies, most teams will not take the proper time to work on how to prevent a goalie from being able to use the full force of his puck-handling skills. The goal of this set play is to catch the opposing team off guard after a dump in on a line change. The goalie goes to retrieve the puck and immediately pass it toe the first player who is supposed to stand between the center line and our own blue line, this player than pass the puck to me while I’m waiting at the opposing team blue line and then we attack the net. If executed well and quickly, this play often leads to either a breakaway or a 2 on 1 chance.

Option 1:

The hockey blog micro stat that I have developed is "water gulps per minute", which on the surface is already a pretty flawed stat. It measures players who return to the bench and drink water, but just how much water? The players who play for bad teams, such as Montreal or Manhattan, will have high gulps per minute as their teams are constantly hemmed in and have to skate or work much harder than other teams. However, it's worth looking at players on good teams and see who's maybe a little out of shape and dragging their team down. GM's can look at this stat and create a new workout regime for the player, or decide it's time to cut ties with the literal anchor on their club. Players can look at this stat and hope to improve it year over year to make themselves feel good about themselves.

Option 2

Dusty Rhodes favorite set play is to be right in front of the opposition's goalie. Screeni9ng is what he does best and he makes it quite difficult for the other team's goalie to see because his huge ass takes up so much space. And Dusty is getting alot better at redirecting shots for goals. It's something that he works on a ton in practice and his own teammates love to work on the drill since it sharpens their own skills as well. Of course Dusty takes his share of bumps and bruises up there. Some from getting nailed by one of his defensemen's slaphots. And some from opposing defenders trying to move him away from the front of the net. So after games he spends alot of time in an ice bath trying to calm his aching body but it really gives his Spectres team a whole new offensive dimension to their game with big Dusty parked in front of the net.

Sad Ketchup of the Newfoundland Berserkers has many favourite set plays that the Newfoundland Berserkers have found to be successful in the Simulation Major Junior Hockey League. One of the plays in the offensive zone is off the faceoff, assuming the Newfoundland Berserkers win the faceoff clean. It starts with Sad Ketchup winning the draw back to the right defenseman. The right defenseman then takes a few strides to the left, and slides the puck over to the right to the right winger who is either near the boards or has drifted up to receive the puck. While this is happening Sad Ketchup has gone to the net or down low depending on how clean the play is going, and the left winger opts to go to the top of the left circle and is ready to pounce/go to the net. The right winger usually passes the puck down to Sad Ketchup whose below the goal-line, then Ketchup passes it Infront to the winger who normally is heading there from the left, and bang, it often results in a goal or a nice high danger scoring chance.

Option 1

Shnopple has created a new stat category for the local hockey blog that he worked with earlier in the season. His new stats will be OSB (opponents sticks broken) OSB (own sticks broken). For the opponents stick broken it will count for the player who breaks their stick from a slash or a shot. The own sticks broken is pretty self explanatory but ill explain anyways. Anytime a player breaks their own stick from a shot or frustration even it will count towards the stat. This stat is pretty much useless but it might be interesting to see if it ends up working to be e planned. It might be able to show the strength of players or even which sticks break the most. So far there has not been a clear way to say if any team or player is the best at this stat since it is brand new and has not really been worked on yet.
