Daniel Smeb

A Member of the Smeb clan, Daniel Smeb became one of the key players for the Chicago Syndicate dynasty of the S50’s and S60’s. Drafted in S46, Daniel Smeb was a true rookie. Which was a rare sight to see in the S40’s.
In STHS times, Daniel Smeb was very much a decent player. Middle of the pack to slightly above average player for the rebuilding Chicago team. With 20,25,22,34,38, 45, and 54 points from S46-S52. He was truly starting to come into his own right when the league switched to FHM. With S52 being his best season, scoring 210 goals, 34 assists for 54 points. Earning him a 2nd All Star.

In FHM though, things were different. As an impact player for Chicago, S54 and S55 saw Daniel become one of the best players in the league. S54 saw Smeb score 31 goals, 39 assists for 70 points. Good for 2nd All Star team. S55 would be Smeb’s best season of his career. Scoring 26 goals, 46 assists for 72 points earning him his lone Ron Mexico nomination and 1st All Star Team. S56 saw Smeb come back down to earn a bit. 20 goals, 39 assists for 59 points.

S57 would see the start of the 66 game season era for the SHL. With that, Smeb scored more. In 66 games, Daniel scored 30 goals, 53 assists for 83 points. Good for 2nd All Star Team. Most importantly though, Smeb won his and Chicago’s first Challenge Cup

After that season, Smeb settled into being a PPG player from S58-S60. Scoring anywhere between 64-68 points during that time. As he aged, and minutes went down, Smeb settled into being a good player on the Chicago team. Giving way to their young stars.
With Smeb becoming a role player there were some achievements during that time. S64 saw Daniel win his 2nd Cup of his career. Moving to Minnesota in S66, Smeb scored his 1000th point that season.
S67 would be his last season in the league. Retired with 1276 games played, 377 goals, 700 assists for 1077 points. When he retired that was good for 2nd in the league for career points. Daniel Smeb had a career that many players would dream of. 1000+ points, 2 Cups, and a Ron Mexico nom. Had good peaks, and played long enough to reach the 1000 point mark. That's why he is an honorable mention here.

Brick Wall

The first main starter for the Montreal Patriotes, Brick Wall laid the foundation for Montreal to be successful in the league.
Starting in S64, Brick Wall first played in the SHL. As a backup in the SHL. He won 6 games, lost 5, and had 1 OTL. S65 saw Brick be a starter in the league for the first time. In 47 games played, he had a statline of 14-25-4 with 2 shutouts and a .914 SV%. Still on that rebuilding Montreal team. The save % was there, but the wins were yet to come.
S66 saw Montreal break out into one of the better teams in the league though. With that, the statline looked a lot better. 31-15-4 with 2 shutouts and a .907 SV%. This season was the first of many. First 30+ win season. First John McBride Win, and 1st All Star Team to go along with it.

However, S67 looked the opposite. Still won games, 28-16-4 with 5 shutouts. But a SV% of .895. So, no all star votes, no mcbride wins or noms.

S68 was the start of a bounceback season, slowly but surly. With a 32-16-6 with 4 shutouts and a .901 SV%. That was good enough for Brick Wall to get 3rd All Star win. S69 though, was Brick Wall’s best season. Through 54 games played, Brick Wall went 40-13-1 with 6 shutouts and a .911 SV%. Winning his 2nd John McBride, a nomination for the Ron Mexico, and a 1st All Star Team to go with those awards.

S70 saw another strong season by Wall. 35-17-2 with 4 shutouts and a .906 SV%. He had a 2nd All Star Team, and he got a John McBride nomination. The first time he didn't win.S71 saw Montreal at its peak, and with that Wall at one of his peaks. Going 38-15-1 with 5 shutouts and a .913 SV%. He won the Honcho, McBride, and 1st All Star Team.

S72 was deja vu for Brick Wall, going 35-17-2 with 6 shutouts and a .910. He won the McBride, honcho and a 1st All Star. S73 was his final season in the league. With montreal committing to a rebuild, he stayed there for 38 games before getting traded to Atlanta.

With 4 McBride wins and 1 McBride nom, 2 honcho wins, and a Mexico nom. Brick Wall is a very decorated goalie. Having a great peak between S68-S72 he was one of the best goalies at that time. With 277 Wins, 173 losses and 27 OTL. He is very deserve to be an Honorable mention

Big Manius

A punishing defenseman for the Winnipeg Jets. Big Manius is a player who by traditional stats was not one of the elite players. The combination of still being a good defenseman + being a punishing one. It was recognized. Drafted in S22, big Manius was drafted in the 3rd round. Manius was 27th OA. A future Hall of Famer was drafted to the Winnipeg Jets.

His first season came in S24, the last of the 52 GP era. With 0 goals, 8 assists for  8 points. Manius also collected 105 hits and 42 shots blocked. S25 was when Manius won his first challenge cup with the Winnipeg Jets. Playing in an elevated role, doubling his time on ice. Manius was a good contributor to the team.

S26 was the breakout season though. Earning Minus his lone Scott Steves nomination. He scored 16 goals, 29 assists for 45 points. With 107 hits and 61 SB. He won the Aidan Richa for most improved, 2nd All Star Team, and his Scott Stevens nomination.

S27-S32 was all good seasons for Manius. From all but 1, Manius hit between 34-38 points on the season. All seasons that had above 120+ hits. Just a great defenseman on the Winnipeg Jets. S30 he won the Turd Ferguson for most PIMs in a season. Racking up a good amount of points, and a lot of hits for a defenseman no less.

S33 saw Manius have another excellent season. 16 goals, 27 assists for 43 points. Manius earned himself another 2nd All Star Team. Hitting a career high of 162 hits too.

S37 came another milestone. Manius would win his 2nd Challenge Cup with the Winnipeg Jets. S38 came with the milestone of hitting 500 career points and 2000 career hits. With a career high 17 goals, 28 assists for 45 points. He earned the 3rd All Star Team  too.

S39-S42 saw a decline in points. Only 16,21,26, and 14 over those final 4 seasons. As he declined, his other stats declined. His old body betrayed him, after years of being the physical defenseman, he just couldn't go on anymore, retiring in S42.

Finishing with 952 games played, 187 goals, 397 assists for 584 points. That was good for 10th in points by defenseman at that time. With 2302 hits, that was also good for 5th all time by defenseman. Only behind Bubba Nuck, Alonzo Garbanzo, Barney Stinson, and Willie Weber.

Having a great long career helped. His multiple all star teams. The lone Scott Stevens nom. Top 10 in points by defenseman when he retired. Thats why he is a honorable mention

Nathan Russell

Considered one of the best two-way forwards of his time, Nathan Russell is by definition one of the best ones. A winner through and through, winning 4 cups over his career. A franchise player for the New England Wolfpack, Russell helped secure them 4 cups over his career. Playing an integral part of them. Drafted 7th OA to the New England Wolfpack in S20. This turned out to be a great pick in a legendary draft class. Producing some legendary players.

Immediately playing in the S20 SHL season. Russell’s start was not great. Only 1 goal, 4 assists for 5 points. But he showed his two-way acumen already, with 81 points. S21 and S22 showed him steadily climbing a bit. 11 and 21 points respectively.

S23 was the first time Russell Won a cup. In the regular season going 5 goals, 26 assists for 31 points. With 137 hits too, Russell was starting to be a solid 3rd line player for New England as they won their Cup.

Russell’s first big season came in S25. Scoring 25 goals, 24 assists for 49 points. He earned a 2nd All Star. S27 then came the next 2nd All Star team. With 16 goals, 27 assists for 43 points. With 135 hits. He was gearing up for a big season.

S35 would be his last season in the SHL. With that, he went out on a bang. With 15 goals, 31 assists for 46 points, and 186 hits. Russell was nominated for the Jeff Dar Award one last time.

Retired with 808 GP, 220 goals, 392 assists for 612 points. 2251 hits. Russell was one of the premier two-way forwards for  about 8 seasons. With 2 Jeff Dar Wins, and 3 Nominations, he has proven that time and time again. With 4 Cup wins, he proved he was a winner. An amazing career through and through. Worthy of being an honorable mention.

yeah there are ~180 HoF people (9 pages of 20 didnt account for gms so probably closer to 150)

That means around or over half of even the HoFers will be left off

Side note, you should put the blurbs written about these players on their hall of fame pages, that would be cool @luke
