The S66 Ballot was already decided and voted on before I came in, so I apologize if any players weren't there for their first season of eligibility. The S67 Ballot and season of eligibility were calculated based on the final season played, so there may be some small inconsistencies with which season of eligibility someone might be in when basing it on past ceremonies. The Committee takes all eligible players into account with equal weight, no matter their season.

Not blaming you but to skip a full season of eligibility is kind of crazy. To hand wave it as it was already decided and then to not reset is interesting.

Steps are being taken to correct this (see the Note in the original post). Kennedy is definitely not the only one who this happened to, and we're going to attempt to make it right.

Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to the Season 67 SHL Hall of Fame Induction ceremony!
We are gathered here tonight to celebrate the illustrious careers of some true legends of the SHL. We have 3 players and 1 GM to induct tonight, and each of them has well and truly earned their spot in the Hall.

Before we get to celebrate those who made it, let’s take a chance to recognize those who graced our ballots for the final time this season.
Nine players were on the ballot for the final time during Season 67 who unfortunately did not garner enough votes to be inducted into the SHL Hall of Fame.

Akashi SixNine
Barracuda : S48
Steelhawks : S49 - S55
Chiefs : S56
syndicate : S57 - S59

Alexei Rykov
Dragons : S53 - S55
Argonauts : S56 - S58
Steelhawks : S59
Specters : S59

Axel Meszaros
Stars : S55 - S59

Barret McCarthy
Rage : S46 - S57
Panthers : S58 - S59

Darnell Johnson
Specters : S51 - S59

David Vent
Rage : S49 - S59

Kenny Creller
Panthers : S53 - S55
Specters : S56 - S59

Manuel Gotze
Wolfpack : S42 - S52
Renegades : S53 - S55
Inferno : S56 - S59

Nicolaj Muller
Stampede : S48 - S54
Specters : S55 - S59

I would also like to remind everyone of how the voting procedure works.
Each member of the committee (10 people in all) nominates 5 retired athletes from the list of eligible players and ranks them 1 through 5, which in turn gives these players points according to their rank (10 points for 1st, 7 for 2nd, 5 for 3rd, 3 for 4th and 1 point for a 5th).
Each committee member must also provide a short written piece to back up their choices.
These points are then totaled and all players who receive 35 points or more are selected to be inducted into the Hall of Fame.

For GMs, committee members are allowed to place 2 votes, with 1st being 10 points and 2nd being 5, and a GM must receive at least 65 points to be inducted into the Hall of Fame

NOTE:
There will be an audit conducted of previous ballots (specifically S66), and an additional season of eligibility will be given to any players who should have been listed previously but were not.
These players will continue through eligibility as normal, but their final season of eligibility will be determined by how many seasons they were left out. I will make an announcement when I have determined who these players are, and what their actual eligibility should be.
This audit was already conducted for GM eligibility.

Our first inductee's journey has been marked by incredible dedication and skill, leaving an indelible mark on every team fortunate enough to have him as part of their roster. From his early days with the Los Angeles Panthers to the glory years of the dominant Hamilton Steelhawks, his presence on the ice has been nothing short of awe-inspiring. Throughout his career, he has amassed a collection of accolades that speak volumes about his exceptional talent and leadership on the ice and in the locker room. From five All-SHL team selections to multiple winnings of prestigious awards such as the Anton Razov, Sarmad Khan, Jay McDonald, and Ron Mexico, his contributions to his team have been recognized time and time again. Furthermore, his role in securing an incredible four Challenge Cup Championships stands as a testament to his excellence and his ability to elevate his team to victory.

Blizzard : S55
Steelhawks : S56 - S65

Career Playoff Stats:
GP: 233 | G: 92 | A: 105 | P: 197 | +/-: 29 | Hit: 310 | SB: 95

Awards:
2x Third Team All-SHL
1x Second Team All-SHL
2x First Team All-SHL
1x Anton Razov Nomination
1x Anton Razov Winner
2x Ron Mexico Winner
2x Sarmad Khan Winner
3x Jay McDonald Winner
2x Sergei Karpotsov Winner
4x Challenge Cup Champion (S56, S58, S61, S63)

Committee Quotes:
“Theo Morgan: 4 cups, second-most points (1011), best point/game average (1.02), second-most All-SHL nominations (5), most awards by a large margin (9 and 6 more than 2nd best), most goal-scoring titles (3), a long 18 season career, also had the second best point/game average in the playoffs, the second most playoff point playoffs out of any eligible player. I don’t think you will find a more offensively dominant/consistent regular season/playoff performer and he should be a unanimous 1st on everyone’s ballot in my opinion.”

“Theo Morgan is a clear-cut, number one option on my ballot and has been ever since I've looked at the data. A plethora of award wins, All-SHL teams, regular and post-season success with their player (not to mention the team as well), Plus finished a point per game before the FHM8 inflation”

“Theo Morgan's resume just lights up like a Christmas tree in the data. By far the most individual awards won, and 4 cups to go with it. Absolutely dominant in the playoffs vs almost all other eligibles, the best PPG, and 5-time All-SHL appearances.”

“Theo Morgan is a Top 20 player of all time in the SHL”

Throughout our next inductee’s illustrious career, which also spanned multiple teams, this player's name has become synonymous with excellence and unparalleled skill on the ice, as well as being a delicious pizza topping. He played most of his career with the Edmonton Blizzard, where he consistently exemplified the epitome of skill, sportsmanship, and dedication to his craft. His numerous accolades, including six All-SHL team selections, multiple nominations for the Anton Razov and Jeff Dar awards, and winning the Ron Mexico Award, Sarmad Khan, and the Kergei Karpotsov, stand as a testament to his exceptional talent. Furthermore, his instrumental role in leading Edmonton to two Challenge Cup Championships speaks volumes about his ability to rise to the occasion and lead those around him to greatness.

Tony Pepperoni

@Sean

Blizzard : S45 - S62
Platoon : S63 - S64

Career Regular Season Stats:
GP: 1128 | G: 439 | A: 607 | P: 1046 | +/-: 298 | Hit: 1827 | SB: 701

Career Playoff Stats:
GP: 222 | G: 61 | A: 109 | P: 170 | +/-: 13 | Hit: 408 | SB: 138

Awards:
1x Third Team All-SHL
2x Second Team All-SHL
3x First Team All-SHL
2x Anton Razov Nomination
2x Jeff Dar Nomination
1x Ron Mexico Nomination
1x Ron Mexico Winner
1x Sarmad Khan Winner
1x Sergei Karpotsov Winner
2x Challenge Cup Champion (S45, S49)

Committee Quotes:
“Tony Pepperoni: 2 cups, most points (1046), fourth best point/game average (0.93), most All-SHL nominations (6), second most awards (3), and 5 nominations, he also has the third most playoff points out of any eligible player after a long 20 season career.”

“One of the three 1000+ point players on the ballot, Pepperoni was the pillar and backbone of Edmonton for a long time. 6 All-SHL selections, three awards (including a Ron Mexico), and two Cups highlight a 20 season career spanning both the STHS and FHM6 era. Pepperoni was the epitome of sustained success and it is surprising to me it took a second ballot for him.”

“2 cups, 1 Mexico, 1 Khan, and 1 Karpotsov. He also finished with 5 other nominations and leads all nominees in regular season points. Not as flashy as Morgan's resume, but Pepperoni was THE guy for multiple seasons and was in the mix for awards for a long window.”

From the moment he first stepped onto the ice with the Chicago Syndicate to the final games of an incredible career, our final player inductee has exemplified what it means to be a Hall of Fame player. His journey through the seasons has been marked by numerous accolades, including three First Team All-SHL selections, nominations for three Ron Mexico awards, and several award wins, claiming both the Anton Razov Award and the Aidan Richan Award. Furthermore, his leadership and prowess have played pivotal roles in securing two Challenge Cup Championships for the Syndicate, solidifying his legacy as a champion of the league and the Chicago locker room.
