My extremely official petition to rename UCORAL to Ratvia.

Due to some stellar management from Troy McClure, Czechia’s national team popularity has been absolutely buzzing. This has been reflected from our UCORCAL teammates leaving us this season, which has been bittersweet. We wish them luck in future tournaments but hope we beat them in those tournaments!

Now with Czechia out of the team, the United Countries of Russia, Czechia, and Latvia doesn’t really fit with just Russia and Latvia being United. UCORCAL is a long acronym that seems outdated and removing the C to make it UCORAL doesn’t hit the same. A couple of new names were proposed but RLC and Lussia didn’t really hit the spot.

You know what hits the spot though?

RATVIA.

Coined by our captain Lily Jin Morrow, it was an immediate hit with players on the squad. You immediately know the countries involved - R for Russia and - atvia for Latvia. Rat gifs are easy and plentiful, the branding ideas for Ratvia are off the charts, it is also catchy and rolls of the tongue. It is also better than UCORAL.

Rats are smart and good at hockey, one team even has one as a captain. 0 downsides for this.
