Written Option#2

Dash Jackson loves playing Defense there is no doubt about it. He eats, sleeps and breathes defense; maybe even dreams of blocking that Game winning goal in the SMJHL Finals. But that is exactly what that is just a dream. You know what else is just a dream? Playing quarterback for the offense the Center position. Being a faceoff specialist with some defensive prowess (which Dash already has in his blood) a Patrice Bergeron type of player, a 6 time Selke award winner, a true leader on and off the ice, Now that is a dream! Maybe sometime in the future he could make a player as good as him.

Dash has some of the traits needed but if he wanted to ever achieve that goal he would have to mirror his game like a Bog Damsel. Boy they aren't afraid to take one for the team or sacrifice offense for defense and lay some wood. Great player all-around and that's the kind of player Dash Jackson would rather be than a defenseman.

If Miovski played a different position then it would definitely be on the right wing, with elite pace and laser accuracy there is little doubt that Miovski would be a goal scoring machine. Unwilling to do the dirty work, Miovski would hang out at the blue line on defense looking for any chance to get out on the break and have his defender grasping for the ice.

While defense fits the inexperienced skater that Miovski is currently, his best fit might be on the wing. As a defensemen he currently posts up at the blue line and hammers one timers - get assists regularly on his forwards feasting on rebounds. Once he is more comfortable and a bit more skilful Miovski could make the most of his potential by moving to the forwards where he can be a bit more impactful.

His football skills would translate to some dirty dangles and fire one top bins.

Option 2:

Beck would probably be a center, and also probably be a two way forward at that. His defensive prowess is just too great to go straight offense all the time. In fact, recently I have come to the realization that his offense is really no longer a strength. Regression has hit my buddy hard and although he tries to keep up, he is not the all-star player of his glory days. He would make a great second or third line center with redistributed faceoffs to enhance his possession game. He would continue to put his body on the line and block shots, but his physical edge would start to blossom as his skilled hands start to decline. Throwing his weight around and being the scrapper inside would be a good change of pace and lend the team a good level of sandpaper. All in all, it doesn't matter what position he plays, as long as it is for his hometown Winnipeg Aurora.

Option 2:

Shadow Fenix, if able to, would play as a winger. It's not unusual for centers to play on the wing, and Shadow Fenix's playstyle would be well suited for it. Specifically his speed would allow him to truly shine as he would get many breakaways per game. My personal hockey fandom would be better fulfilled because in real life, I play winger sometimes. So my player would literally be me. Except for the part where my player is very good at hockey, whereas I am dog water. Regardless, I don't think that this change would ever happen because at his core, Shadow Fenix is a play maker, and wingers simply aren't going to be the play makers like McDavid. Sure, you might say that I could become someone like Patty Kane with slick stick handling, and filthy passes, but I would much prefer to have the player that just is really fast.

Dunkler has always been a role player on defense. He prefers to be less physical, and more focused on sound positional play and controlling the puck. But he will play whatever role is needed. He’s not afraid to block shots or throw the body, despite his favored playstyle.
That being said, the defensive side of the ice doesn’t carry with it many scoring opportunities. Since Dunkler does love to control the puck and the flow of the game, he would probably like to play center as well. Center’s certainly get more action in the goals and assists department, but they also share responsible for setting up plays in the offensive zone. Dunkler could apply that same positional knowledge from being a defenseman to exploiting weakness in opponents defenders as a forward.
It should also be noted that swapping to forward doesn’t completely relive someone from fulfilling their duties on defense either. I think Dunkler would play a strong two-way game, and focus mostly on being a playmaker rather than a scorer.

Option 2:

Squidwardo Tentacles would switch from Left Wing to Left Defense if he could change his position. This was already suggested by Squidwardo this season but due to the amount of players graduating from the Malamutes they needed Tentacles up front and not on the back end. Tentacles is already a solid two way forward who likes to hit and back check which would translate well to defense. As a winger who can't really take a slap shot and has a weaker wrister compared to other forwards, playing defense and dishing the puck as a puck moving defender would be a fun choice. He probably wouldn't be able to throw the body as much as he does on wing though, as he wouldn't want to put his defensive partner into bad positions. On wing it doesn't matter as much, but throwing a ton of hits could leave to multiple odd man rushes and could screw over the team in the long run.
