About 20 minutes to puck drop for the first game. Yay for not being worse than last season.

Zadorov is scratched as he tries to catch up on conditioning and Soderberg is too because he's bad. Colborne has been reassigned to SAR and Greer is still injured.

Can't say I'm surprised about Colborne. He's certainly come a long way since he was a promising young player. Unfortunately, it was in the wrong direction...

Loved Bigras tonight. Looked phenomenal. That Kerfoot-Duchene-Yakupov "Prove it" line was great, too.

Defense was shaky, too many odd man rushes against, but that happens on a bad team.

Mironov was disappointing, always looking like he was lost. Not sure if he has a KHL out clause in his contract but some time in SA could do him some good I think. Only Av tonight who wasn't on the ice for a single scoring chance for.

Overall it was a fun game. Feels good to win, I'll relish this feeling while watching Dahlin highlights.

Lindholm recalled from SA. I like it but it's a little weird. 2 of Mironov, Barberio, Zadorov, and Lindholm will be scratched and I can't imagine they'd recall him just to scratch him.

100%. If they're bringing someone up to practice with the Avs but not play a lot it should be Siemens.

Best case scenario is that Zadorov comes in for Barberio and Mironov goes down and gets top pairing minutes in SA to develop a bit more. Or if Zadorov still isn't up to game speed and is the scratch that's okay. Lindholm getting called up to get scratched is not.

Surprisingly no... Whatever Hitch did to him in St Louis seems to have worked because he actually looks like a hockey player. Plays defense and everything.

That said, it's been 3 games. We'll see if it holds up but so far so good.
