No. - BeanSnoodie - 07-14-2015 Quote:Originally posted by C.J.@Jul 14 2015, 07:44 PM I did all of this. I "loaded up". Look at the disparity between the old guys and the new (fun game, guess where the recreates end and the true rookies start): ![]() It's a circle jerk for old members. - Reynolds - 07-14-2015 Quote:Originally posted by BeanSobie@Jul 14 2015, 04:49 PMKeep in mind you're in a draft class with a large majority of re-creates. Five very prominent recreates are actually below your player as well. With a Biography left undone as well. I see your point and I don't disagree with it. The VHL has discussed many times the recreate bonus and all that, at one time it was based on a percentage that featured no Carryover CAP. That has changed. However, is their a suggestion you have for players carryover? Because if it's to abolish it totally, any league would lose a lot of long term members. - stud - 07-14-2015 Quote:Originally posted by C.J.@Jul 14 2015, 04:54 PM VHL just needs to lower their incentives pretty much because of the method to acquire TPE is very scarce in addition to that their update scale is smaller. Also if they remove job TPE from that calculation or maybe just reduce its impact vs the non-job TPE, I think it would be fair for ALL the members. not just the ones with jobs. - UZI® - 07-14-2015 All I asked was for you to show me how to earn 12-19 TPE/week....consistently. - Reynolds - 07-14-2015 Quote:Originally posted by ,Jul 14 2015@ 04:57 PMDo you mean lower the incentive to recreate? In turn lower the percentage they can take with them when they re-create? Remove job TPE, what would be the incentive to have a job then? Money is dealt with differently in the VHL than it is in the SHL. - stud - 07-14-2015 Quote:Originally posted by C.J.@Jul 14 2015, 05:03 PM Lower the amount of TPE they can retain for their new player. Well they will still get the TPE for their player but the TPE they got from the job TPE will carry over less to new player. So forexample they get 7 TPE for simming, if they recreate the TPE for non job would be 3% of the total TPE earned but the job TPE would only be 1% of the TPE earned. Old player would still get 7 TPE new player will get 1% of that. if they only simmed for one week. - Jesster - 07-14-2015 ![]() - ArGarBarGar - 07-14-2015 Quote:Originally posted by C.J.@Jul 14 2015, 07:44 PMI forgot about those things. Even when I did that stuff I am pretty sure I was still way far back of the recreates. And that was with earning 9 TPE each week. - BeanSnoodie - 07-14-2015 Quote:Originally posted by UZI®+Jul 14 2015, 07:59 PM--><table border='0' align='center' width='95%' cellpadding='3' cellspacing='1' id='QUOTE-WRAP'><tr><td>QUOTE (UZI® @ Jul 14 2015, 07:59 PM)</td></tr><tr><td id='QUOTE'><!--QuoteEBegin-->All I asked was for you to show me how to earn 12-19 TPE/week....consistently.[/b] <!--QuoteBegin-UZI®@Jul 14 2015, 07:10 PM Please show me how to earn 12-19 TPE/week.[/quote] That's really not what you asked. But more importantly, it is not really the point. People were preaching that if a newcommer works hard they can be just as good as the recreates in their class and that is really just a lie. There are incentives for sure for newcommers sure, but don't ignore the recreate incentives. - Reynolds - 07-14-2015 Quote:Originally posted by ,Jul 14 2015@ 05:04 PMKeeping track of job TPE in an 8 year career though is rather nitpicky. They don't even do that here with cash. (Yes I know it doesn't carryover) I should mentioned Simming for 7 TPE is in place of an article or anything, so that's a poor example. Here is what I gathered from the example: 6 TPE per week for Media Spot 2 TPE for Updating etc... JOB When career is done, you get 3% of the TPE earned by Media Spots and 1% of TPE earned from Jobs. So if a player had an 8 year career (9 PT/Job weeks) he would have: 54 TPE x 8 (Years) = 432 TPE/3% = 13 TPE 18 TPE x 8 (Years) = 144 TPE/1% = 1 TPE So that player would take 14 TPE? - BeanSnoodie - 07-14-2015 Quote:Originally posted by ArGarBarGar@Jul 14 2015, 08:10 PM Keep in mind with that chart of incentives you were shown, the 36 for double media posts includes the 18 from the 3 weeks of Perfect PTs. That incentive really isn't that great. - Reynolds - 07-14-2015 Quote:Originally posted by ArGarBarGar@Jul 14 2015, 05:10 PMAs the OP describes, gaining a job "should be easy" and I'd say he is right, it should be and is easier. So earning 10 TPE a week in the VHLM can happen, not saying it always does. But when it comes to jobs people can't be totally shocked. No league wants to reward someone a job if they don't know them or they are simply unproven. I think this turned into a VHL bashing (constructively) and that's not what the OP was intending I don't think. - Reynolds - 07-14-2015 Quote:Originally posted by BeanSobie@Jul 14 2015, 05:15 PMGo suggest something then, no one stopping anyone from speaking up over there. All the talk over here is great, but if you don't speak up where you don't agree, then it won't be looked at. - stud - 07-14-2015 Quote:Originally posted by C.J.@Jul 14 2015, 05:13 PM yep 14 tpe. The number can be adjusted though. I just dont wanna do the math but the general idea is that job and nonjob tpe have different percentage. And could also do weighed or non-weighed. If the 7 TPE simmer is in place for article. then they aren't allowed to do article and I think that would totally be fine (they earn an extra tpe than non-simmers). That can be let go for it not having harsher carryover. i think that's fine imo. 2 TPE for a job isn't also a problem as long as it's limited to 1 job per VHLer i guess. (though I know that might be impossible because of the amount of members that they have) |
