SHL vs VHL review

It's a good point. However, they do offer a lot of incentives to people when they first join that can allow you to be on par with a recreate right away.
What are those incentives, specifically?

I know of the VHLM training camp, but what else?

Alonzo Garbanzo Final Tallies (Among Defensemen):
2nd in Goals (208), All-Time Assists Leader (765)*, All-Time Points Leader (973), 3rd in Hits (2587), All-Time Blocked Shots Leader (1882)*
*All-Time Leader Among All Skaters

You know a bunch of those points are from different weeks right? He just decided to update them all at the same time.

It's a good point. However, they do offer a lot of incentives to people when they first join that can allow you to be on par with a recreate right away.

I created a player over there not too long ago because I am starting to get sick of this one. Not retiring anytime soon, just maxed out most of my build and have nothing left to do.

From my observations

1) No points to distribute to make an actual player was my biggest issue. I felt bored from the start by this so I began to look for something to do.

2) I found some rookie profile thing and submitted an article, with the same amount of effort I'd put in here. Waited for it to be graded and saw it get like a 4/6 or something and haven't checked back in since.

I think there is some 10 TPE thing you can do as well but the effort required to get 4/6 on the previous submission made me not want to bother. I had my last English class well over a decade ago, if I wanted to take another I wouldn't have signed up for a simulation hockey league.

Totally not for me, but for those that find that sort of thing enjoyable (I don't) then it would be ideal.

Just the rate of progression, the effort for so little, and the lack of anything to do is a major turnoff for me.

In this example we have someone who simmed two weeks worth of games and was collecting his +7 TPE for each, and +3 for his Fantasy predictions, had he done his regular training he could have picked up +9 for +26 TPE on the week.

Fairness of TPE distribution wouldn't be widening the SHL/SMJHL gap by having equipment be capped and remove +5 training completely from juniors.

But seriously, the VHL gives extra TPE to recreates when they don't bother when you create to make an actual build? Didn't notice that at first but even less of an incentive for me to try building my player if I am a step behind the Old Boys club no matter what I do.

Vhl's incentives are not good for their system because of their update scale. However it is understandable they have this system because they rely on their old player. Removing equipment is a good thing. It is a useless thing anyway that benefits only rich players. But even I won't be stupid enough to buy equipment because the return isn't that impactful at all for their cost.

But that is probably more unhealthy than the 50 TPE incentive.

I forgot to mention that the OP was a very good read and pretty well thought out.

You DO realize that he only earned 7 tpe each week right? It literally says it in the post you linked.

But when Maxy told you to recreate as a skater instead of a goalie a long time ago due to the odds being against you, you were motivated to prove him wrong????

Yeah, I saw the effort that would be required to move to the front of the pack and did so.

I surpassed Fischermann, Vargo and Hornet easily, was named starter of the Nightmare in my rookie season (completely impossible for junior goalies now) and outlasted all other goalies in that draft year.

Only one had a better career, Sawyer.

But if you had asked me to start 50 paces from the start line just because I only signed up 5 minutes ago? Nah, fuck it.

By your #1 point do you mean there is no 155 TPE to dish out right away?

Your #2 point, did you check the rubric or did you post what you had from here and edit it a bit?

I just think no one described to you how to upgrade and progress in a productive way. Because I have a player high in TPE in both the SHL and VHL and they have entirely two different ways of doing things to improve, but I've been able to here far too easily.

This is a problem in the vhl definitely but I don't know much of the vhl system to suggest something alternative since 7 TPE per week would be more than 50 TPE in around 7 weeks. It is also not healthy for their update scale.

I was asked to show a way to earn 12+ TPE in a week. +7 uncapped for the sims, add on your additional +8 standard (media 6, training 1, short article 1) and you are at an easy 15 TPE for the week. I did what I was asked.

If you build your player properly, equipment can be a huge boost.

The 2 million gives 9 TPE which is almost two weeks of training at once. If you have it put into categories you want to boost, plan your updates for it, it works very well.

I know of the VHLM training camp, but what else?
The x3 Doubled PT's for all new members. (36 TPE)
VHLM Training Camp (10 TPE)
Member Survey (5 TPE)

That would have you up to 51 TPE within three weeks. Add in the Rookie Profile and Bio and you could be at 69 TPE, and that's without the VHLM Practice Facility.

I feel if someone explained it right to you, you'd understand it. But I find sometimes people have someone recruit them on sites (VHL and SHL) that simply want to get them there, they don't put in the effort to help them understand how to load up right away.

-Training is only for minor-league players
-You cannot do media AND be a simmer (Simmers earn 7 tpe guaranteed per week, Media is anywhere from 0-6 depending on the grade)
-Weekly Predictions are once a week
-Award predictions are once a season
