I don't see any reason to get rid of these clauses at all. I just see people bitching and not even making real arguments. Believe me, I'd love to find a reason to tell NEW to shove it but this is not one. It's a fucking sim league... let people have some fun with their contracts.

EDIT: Okay, nvm. Clauses that potentially break already established rules should not be allowed.
