DC will have similar power to a league advisor. They'll be a part of the voting process equal as GM's, and only they will decide on discipline issues.

I will make mistakes, just as everybody else has. I am not perfect. But Leafs offered this job to me, and I will do the best I can to make sure it's great. I'm opening a system that allows opposition to my actions full of GM's who I know will be active and elected DC's who will be replaced if inactive. I want people to call me out if they think I'm bullshitting them. I will give the Headquarters every chance they can to "impeach" me.

Look no one is saying you will be biased, I don't think you will, but again it's the principal and I don't see how it even make sense for the leagues commish to be managing a team within his own league, it's just not a good look. Leafs is the only person who was allowed to do both, everyone else stepped down...so are you saying we should value you equal to Leafs? There's a reason he was granted special exception and I don't think that's something he or you should decide, let the league decide if you should be granted an exception because it's the league that will come down hard on you in the end.

Again not an attack on you, but more looking to the future and the standard we want to set in place...or not set in place.
