The draft is always an exciting time for any rookie, but it was an especially chaotic one for Melvin de Pengu Soderberg-Snooks. He very unexpectedly went first in the draft and was now destined to be shipped off to some place called Yukon. He'd never really been outside of Sweden, so he wasn't sure what to expect. It turns out he should have never been so nervous because Yukon is almost exactly like home. As Melvin flew in, he noticed that the landscape looked cold and barren with small town and villages dotted around. It truly felt like home just from a glance and was made more so as he arrived to the arena. His new GMs were quick to make him feel welcome and showed him around the place he was now going to call home. Sure, he was given an apartment outside of the city, but he had a feeling he would be spending most of his time here. He'd always been a little obsessed with skating and hockey and now he could do it whenever he wanted thanks to the multiple practice rinks at the development facility attached to the arena. All Melvin could do is stare on wonder because he knew he had finally found a true home, not just the place he had been found in as an egg.
