Bojo Ideas Pt 2
#61

The only way injuries should come back is if they're set at the minimum and the summer manually heals players again so no injury lasts more than 3 games.

And even then, that should just be to make morale and leadership relevant.

Two media ideas:

1) Eliminate grading of things like pressers. Have players link their media spots into their bank thread when making withdrawals. It eliminates the middle-man and prevents bank accounts from lagging too far behind when a person wants to do training. Feel free to point out the obvious cons (re-using a presser after the fact, etc.), but I think it provides a little streamlining where it's much needed.
2) Offer rewards plus the base amount for podcasts based on number of listens. Some of these podcasts are pretty irrelevant or downright awful -- or both. It doesn't make sense that people can make $3M a week for rambling for an hour if nobody wants to listen to the bullshit. Why don't we either decrease the base pay slightly or make an incentive should a lot of people on the site actually like the show?

I could see a system where you get $1M per 30 min and have a $10K bonus per comment on the thread. It'd be hard to judge listens because some use zippyshare which doesn't track that.

Ah yeah, I hadn't considered that.

I was thinking more like $100k per comment or listen (I mean let's be real), $1M for 30 minutes, but yeah!

It makes sense if you think about it. Skip Bayless makes more money than your local AM Radio host.

True. I still think $100K is a bit much, maybe $50K?

Also, any incentive for questions asked or is that pushing it too far? Bayless also doesn't have to answer callers like AM.

True, $50k would be reasonable, considering we're trying to take down the reward for it.

I think that's pushing it mostly because quite a few shows (and rightly so) are founded on answering questions from the audience.

What about moving the finals? Play the Conference Finals then have a dead week for CHampionship Week, and a week off for simmers, and updaters. During the dead week the recruitment drive starts, rookies first experience is the finals PBP's. Directly after the Finals have both the SHL and SMJHL Draft. Start IIHF, while the simmers have a few days to start file work. Run Preseason & IIHF Finals concurrently. IIHF Finishes and the regular season starts.

Also a better domain than "originalSHL.com" would be absolutely amazing.

Just a heads to everybody: yes I got your pm. Yes I see the request permissions. No I won't have a free moment until tomorrow morning but I will try to get things done asap.

Meanwhile, discuss more ideas about (as simple as possible) elections. Thanks
