<div align="center">Interview with Sophia Bennett</div>

You've been in the SMJHL for two seasons, entering your third, what advice would you have for a rookie? How was it for you in your rookie season?
My advice to the rookies would be just have fun and play your game it’s a big jump coming into such an elite league but if you try your hardest and continue your training you’ll succeed and hopefully move onto the SHL. I had a pretty good rookie season on a personal level winning RoTY but it was a pretty tough season for us finishing at the bottom of the league. The only thing that was keeping me going was my teammates, we were full of rookies with very little veteran presence so trying to figure our way around the league was a little tough. I think having a tough season like that brought out the best in all of us so I don’t regret it one bit and I’m actually thankful for it.

Are there any special pregame rituals you have?
I always make sure to have a nap and I usually try to make it at the same time every day. I take the same route to all of our home games and I’m always the first to bring out the sewer ball. I don’t think I’ve ever missed a game of ball before any game since I started hockey.

What are your favorite things to do in between training and games?
I love sleeping and eating so those are probably my favorite things to do lol….I enjoy going to the beach to relax and I recently started to like to golf. As a team we do quite a bit together lately and have been trying new things...that's been one of my favorite things.

An interview with Mike Izzy of the Kelowna Knights.

How unhappy were you to here that GMs EJ and Jenny wasted their 1st Round Pick on an agent who is known to be a bitch and has been inactive for over a year?

Im assuming we are talking about Mack Hudson AKA Jay Bae lol.. and to be honest i had no opinion of the pick at first... being a 1st gen player i hadnt heard much about our new netminder... but now as we move into regular season im quite pleased by our estutte GM's as Jae Bae is everything a team needs... Active, engaged, social (telling someone to fuck off counts as being social right?) and brings a flair to the monatany. This pick after some careful thought.... gets #IzzyApproved.

What are your thoughts on the name change from Mack Hudson to Jay Bae?

While i appreciate the name Mack Hudson.. which sounds like a truck driver gone yuppie... Jay Bae is much more alligned with the one staring at Jae bea... JayMay. Izzy believes that its always a solid idea for your player to represent your persona.

Please explain the whole Brand Izzy thing, because I'm very confused.

While the S34 draft darlings sucked all the attention out of the site! a Mike Izzy from Whitby Ontario was a draft after thought.. but through hard work and a bit of luck i was able to land a small endorsement deal with the dollar store plus selling IzzyApproved merchandise in the SHL.. through time, shameless propagnada and products which arouse the dopamine... Mike Izzy was able to move up the virtual ladder to create the leagues first universally sponsered brand! if your interested in the specifics .. Mike Izzys twitter account presents a fair timeline of it all (@MikeIzzySHL) and all articles are on Mike Izzy's update page.

Huge thanks to Artermis who answered my questions.

Q1: 1. If you could hang out with any SHL player for a day who would it be and why?

A: I'd like to spend a day with Chris McZherl. Yeah, I know, he's not well-liked necessarily, but he's legendary, so I'd love to just spend a day on the ice with and pick apart his brain, and perhaps get a little coaching in there too to become a high-point scorer like him.

Q2: 2. What would you say has been the most interesting thing about being with the Firebirds?

A: Being at the heart of rivaly-central BC is very cool and entertaining and makes the season that much more fun and exicting . . . and sometimes painful. Not to mention a lot of history I'm taking part in; it's time to end the championship drought!

Q3: 3. If you could go on vacation anywhere in the world where would it be?

A: Back home to Czechoslovakia: I barely spend enough time there as it is, save holidays and IIHF training camp. I wish I saw my family, especially my father, more. Not to mention the beer and women are much better than here in North America!

Interview with TDZ of the Scarecrows Scarecrows and Dragons Dragons

1. How long have you been playing in the simulation hockey league?

TheDangaZone - I've been playing in the SHL for one season now. I've been a part of the Scarecrows organization and was recently drafted to the Calgary Dragons.

2. What are your hobbies outside of the league?

TheDangaZone - My hobbies outside of the league including studying history, reading in general, and video games. My real passion though is history and I love to study more any chance I get. Whether it's reading an interesting book or watching some documentary I love to do it.

3. how do you feel about the upcoming season for Scarecrows?

TheDangaZone - I think the Scarecrows should have a decent shot at the cup. Obviously with a rookie goalie things are going to be rough for us but as he progresses and gets better so too will our season. We have 2 amazing lines and great depth as well as a stacked blue line to help the team. We're set up to do well and as the season goes along, especially in the playoffs, we'll do good.

With what you have seen so far who would win in a fist fight Tommy or Timmy Barlow?

TIMMY AND IT'S NOT EVEN CLOSE

What do you think of rebranding the Detroit Falcons to the St Johns Fighting Irish?

I'd give it some considerable thought if I were to drink several pints with the boys post-game.

Burger or Hot Dogs and why?

Burgers because they're far more versatile than hot dogs. Burgers you can slap some bacon on, an egg, some doughnuts instead of the regular bun, etc.
hot dog is just ketchup n mustard, maybe some chili, and you're donezo

Interview with Grapehead

1 why are u leaving us - I'm leaving cause I've wanted to be an SHL GM for a while. GMing in the SMJHL is a lot different, and I think I'd make a better SHL GM.
2 why am i the best tanner - There is no "best" Tanner. By definition the Tanner Triplets are a set. The idea that I didn't even know there were triplets when I drafted Jack 6th overall.
3 why do the other 2 tanners suck - Your brothers don't suck, and neither do you.

Interview with <a href='index.php?showuser=2646' rel='nofollow' alt='profile link' class='user-tagged mgroup-59'>Sleepy</a>

Interview 1. What's your best advice for new rookies?

My best advice for new rookie would be to talk to as many people as possible. Don't just isolate yourself and talk to only people on your team or in your draft class. If you want to get to know someone better don't be afraid to message them!

Interview 2. What's your regular season outlook for PGF?

I hope we finish in the top 6. We have some weaknesses this season for sure, but I still think we are good enough to be a playoff team and we'll only get better over time as the rookies stay active and develop more.

Interview 3. What's your favourite activity outside hockey and the SHL?

Outside of SHL and hockey, I'm a pretty avid reader. I also like to consider myself a movie buff. I'm in grad school right now as well studying photography and that takes up a lot of my time currently.

I had the pleasure of sitting down with my new teammates and Scarecrows veteran Teddy Cuddles.

1. You're a 6'5" player in the league. That seems to be on the top end around here. How does your height impact your game play?

Being 6'5" in this league is definitely not a normality. I'm definitely one of the bigger guys out there. Being tall makes you harder to get off the puck a lot of the time. A guy who is a few inches shorter than you will have trouble laying you out most of the time. It also may make you seem less skilled. People have written off my skill and just assumed, "oh he's big, he must be a goon or a grinder" which is not the case. With that negative, being tall is still a big help with my style of play

2. How do you think the Scarecrows are going to do this year? Do you see any primary rivals in the coming season?

I think the Crows will have a decent year. We are usually competitive and we are following up back to back 1st place finishes in the regular season. We will definitely not be as strong as last year, we lost some of our top scorers and our starting goalie, but we have a very strong defense and a good group of forwards. The Crows don't really have a rival due to it being hard to establish rivalries in a league where players are always moving up, but the closest to a rival this year would be the Colorado Mammoths. Last season, they upset us in the playoffs in a triple overtime game 7, so the team is out for revenge

3. Would you say you're more of an otter or a bear (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ifLgVPVjmgI for reference)?

IRL, im an otter, but my player is definitely a bear
