Good morning, Star Gang, it is I, your Keyboard Warrior, bringing you the day that was in the Simulation Hockey League. The Toronto North Stars who had a hot start have hit a rough patch that sees them lose to Hamilton in overtime, three to two. This brings their record to ten, two, and one.
Luffy Richard had an abysmal game, being on the ice for two of Hamilton's goals, taking a minor penalty, and only contributing one hit. Ryosuke Sato had three blocked shots, a shot on goal, a hit, and a takeaway. Ursin Zimmerman was also a minus-two, but provided two shots on goal, a blocked shot, and a hit. He also sat for two as he and Luffy seemed to have decided that gooning it up was the way to go this game. Based on the outcome, I think they were wrong in that regard. Goals belong to: Axel Meszoros and Liam Slate. Apples were served by: Adam Barron, Rhys Prichard, and First-Name Last-Name. Luckily, the Toronto North Stars were able to snap the losing streak with a shootout victory over Baltimore. It was a closer game than it had a right to be, so I think the boys are in for a couple of hard practices to get them back in the winnings mindest of outwork, out play, hit anything that gets in the way. Shots were thirty-two thirty-one in favor of the North Stars, with Baltimore taking the hits twenty-nine to fourteen. Goal Scorers were: (was) First-Name Last-Name with the assist going to Ursin Zimmerman who also had three shots on goal, two blocked shots and two hits, as well as a takeaway. Luffy Richard also managed to put three shots on net. He blocked a shot and had two hits, though he was unable to clear the zone which led to the Baltimore goal that tied the game. The final game of the sim sees the Calgary Dragons step into Toronto where they held a three to one lead into the third where the North Stars battled back to take the game three to four. Shots favored the North Stars thirty-four to twenty-seven, but were outhit twenty-four to twenty-one. Danny Marston scored two goals to lead the way while also picking up two assists, so it was quite the game for this star amongst Stars. Ryu jones and Ruslan Zaporozhets, with Ryu also picking up an assist to help his team. Other apples were handed out by: Rhys Prichard with two, Adam Barron Delver Fudgeson, and Liam Slate. Ryosuke Sato was a plus-one with a blocked shot and four hits. Ursin Zimmermann had two blocked shots and a hit. Luffy Richard had three shots on goal, two blocked shots, a hit, and took another penalty. He has been accumulating penalty minutes like they'll somehow keep everyone from knowing how bad he is, and in a way I can't say he's wrong. Can't be bad if you're not on the ice. Better to screw your team by gowing down a man than putting a little effort in. So the North stars earned five of a possible six points this stream. Great effort all around, and a good way to bounce back from a losing streak. Until next time, Shine On! ![]() |
