Marshi: Hey there Champ, how are you doing? Nice to have you back at home for a day before all of us will be traveling with you tomorrow to attend the SHL draft.
Shiny Rainbow: You guys are all coming? I thought it would be just my sister Sugi, you and me?
M: Nope, the rest of the team is also on board, we're all going with you, like we did the last time for the SMJHL draft in Wales.
SR: That's so freaking awesome! Also... what do you think about my cup, looks good doesn't it?

Shiny Rainbow is pointing on the Four Star Cup standing next to her with a huge grin on her face.

M: Your cup? I'm pretty sure there were a few other people involved to win it.
SR: For today Marshi, it's mine just for today. It's my day with the cup today, remember? So... What do you think?
M: It looks so awesome. I still can't believe you managed to win it in your rookie season. It is huge. I could take a bath inside this thing. By the way? Can i?
SR: I mean the cup isn't that big. It's more that you are...
M: If you call me tiny on camera again i'll jump your face and ruin how you will look on your SHL Draft pictures. I am serious about it. I'm also very serious about taking a bath inside the cup, so can i? Please?

Shiny Rainbow doesn't know what to answer for a couple of seconds, she looks very confused and a bit scared aswell.

SR: Ok, fine. I'll not make any comments on your height again, but you definetly can't take a bath inside the Four Star Cup. That's.... i don't know, but you can't do it. I mean it's the freaking Four Star Cup not some joke Trophy. This is a big deal.
M: Ok , fine then. You are so lame, i thought you're cool Shiny.
SR: I am cool, i just won the Four Star Cup!
M: You wish you were, but since you're already talking about winning the Cup, let us recap your rookie season for our viewers: Let's start with you're regular season statsline: In 66 regular season games, Shiny was able to score: 26 goals and 30 assists for 56 points and was a +32 on the ice. She had 208 shots on goal and collected 34 penalty minutes and 122 hits. That's a pretty decent statsline for a rookie Shiny, are you happy about it?
SR: I did pretty well there for a rookie, i do agree. Although switching from the wing to the middle helped alot. Once i was playing in the middle i felt like i could use my strenghts alot better, which is weird because i have never played as a center before. That has always been your position Marshi.
M: 46%.... That was your winrate in the faceoff circle during the regular season. You are a terrible center. Mine was always around 99%.
SR: Marshi you were always cheating and you were intimidating the referees to not give you penalties for it. This is the SMJHL and not some kids league in Portugal. You can't do that there!
M: I already told you that you've become lame.
SR: You can't be serious right now, what the heck Marshi?
M: Anyway let's get back to our recap of your regular season. Shall we?
SR: Alright Marshi, but what part of ot it is still missing?
M: Your time on ice Shiny. You played an average of 17:12 minutes per game of which 38 seconds were on the powerplay and 16 seconds were on the penalty kill.
SR: I have something to propose: Let's not talk about my regular season icetime, or lack of ice time and let's talk more about Quebec City also winning the Laurifer Trophy as the best team during the regular season instead! And then we can move on to the fun part can we?

Shiny Rainbow is excessively nodding towards the Four Star Cup next to her.

M: You mean you finally agree to me taking a bath inside the Cup?
SR: Marshi! No! The Playoffs! I'm talking about the playoffs obviously.
M: As you wish. On to the Playoffs then! In the first round, Shiny here had a really hot start scoring 3 goals and 1 assist in games 1 and 2 of a 4 game sweep over the Vancouver Whalers. After game 2 Shiny got really scared and tried to stay in bed to hide from my mighty Malamutes that waited in round 2 for her and the Citadelles.
SR: Really Marshi? That's how you want to recap the playoffs? I just fell into a big scoring slump there for 9 games and nothing i tried worked out for me. It happens, you know? I know that i played terrible during that stretch of games. We still beat Yukon in 7 games and moved on to the conference final. And in the end...

Shiny Rainbow is pointing at the Cup next to her once again.

SR: We won and we dominated. Noone cares about a close 2nd round of the playoffs. And i had 5 goals and 5 assists in 10 games during the conference final and the cupfinal. I was playing pretty decent again in the end. I even got first star of the game in game 2 against Colorado to put us up 2:0 in the cupfinal!
M: My Malamutes still almost beat you. They even outscored you 25:20 in that series.
SR: But we still won the series and later the cup. Whose side are you even on Marshi? I thought you were cheering for me and the Owls?
M: Of course i did. All the time, i promise.

Marshi is making a really weird face while making that last statement.

SR: I'm not going to talk with you about the past season any further. The Quebec City Citadelles won the Laurifer Trophy and the Four Star Cup and all the other teams did not. We are the Champions and the others are not!
M: Well, there is one or maybe there are two more topics about the past season where i bet our viewers would like to recieve an update on. Remember what happened during the quarter of the season break?
SR: Yes i do, and why should that be relevant right now?
M: Well, i remember you going home, fleeing from the team and requesting a trade. A trade that until now never happened and a request that until now you never rescinded.
SR: And i remember you pushing me to say something into your camera i wasn't even sure i wanted to say openly. And afterwards you lied to me and tried to sell me to almost every GM in the league like a Street Vendor! As if i was... I don't know. You even tried to sell me to the Vacouver Whalers! Didn't you watch them play this season? They were terrible. Our old kids squad would probably beat them, that's how bad they are!
M: I was just trying to help you out Shiny.
SR: Well thanks, but please stop trying to help me by going behind my back because that is not very helpful. But to give you the update you wanted for your viewers...
M: For our viewers...
SR: To give you the update you wanted for our viewers: I'm still an owlet of the Quebec City Citadelles and I'm looking forward to stay one for my entire time in the SMJHL. Are you happy now?
M: Thanks, but the question should be if you are happy now Shiny. You are the one who wanted to play in an increased role on a different team. Also to address topic number two. Will you still be playing as a center next season or will you move back to the wing?
SR: Well, i have already talked to the coach about it and it looks like first, i will keep playing as a center and second i will get alot more time on ice killing penalties next season. We need another C on the PK so Dejana Kaptina has more time to focus on the heroic MVP stuff and Cristoforo Roccamontepiano can focus on leading the Powerplay. Looks like taking faceoffs and killing penalties is on my offseason training schedule. I can't say that either of them is a strenght of mine right now but i hope this will help me to become a more complete hockey player whenever i'll enter the SHL.
M: That sounds awesome Shiny! You can practice taking faceoffs with me. I'll teach you everything about it and next season your faceoff winpercentage will be around 99% like mine. I'm going tu turn you into a faceoff supertar Shiny.
SR: No Marshi! You cheat and you play dirty and for the last time you can't just intimidate the referees to not call any penalties on you in the SMJHL. If i start taking faceoffs like you do I'll be inside the penalty box ALL THE TIME! And can you explain to me how i am supposed to kill penalties, when I am the one sitting inside of the penalty box? Can you Marshi?
M: The referees in the SMJHL sound lame. BOOOOOOO! Well in that case, let us move on to what is ahead of you Shiny and i know all the viewers want us to finally start talking about the big upcoming event, the S80 SHL Draft, because that's what they are here for. But there is one last thing i want to ask you about before that Shiny. You recently got elected to represent Portugal as part of Team World in the next WJC. Are you excited?
SR: Oh i can't wait to meet the rest of my team and to play again Marshi. This is so cool and i didn't expect it to happen. I mean, i just completed my rookie season and Team World is the reigning world champion. So there is a title and a gold medal we have to defend. There is so much pressure, but at the same time this so so cool. Imagine me bringing home a WJC medal after already winning the Laurifer Trophy and then the Four Star Cup in my very first season? I am so nervous and so excited at the same time! And I'm also getting to play with my teammate from Quebec City, Peter again who is representing India for Team World. This is so cool.
M: If you ask me, I don't think you have any chance of winning a medal.
SR: What? And why is that Marshi? What do you claim to know now?
M: Well, you also have 4 members of the Vancouver Whalers on your team and you just told everyone how bad they are and that our old kids team would beat them.

Marshi is having the biggest grin imagenable on her face while Shiny Rainbow is simply staring at her with a madface.

SR: Can we just talk about the Draft now? Or are you trying to get me to quit this before we get to that part?
M: Nope, lets get to the most interesting topic of this interview: The S80 SHL Draft. And you will be impressend Shiny. This time I'm actually prepared! To get this going we're going to do something similar to last time. We're not doing a ranking of all teams but both of us will start with our personal top 5 and personal meh 5 of SHL identities, in no particular order. So we'll just do it alphabetically. And to give yourself some time to think about it and to prepare. I will start with my own top 5 of SHL team identities:

As you know Shiny, I'm a really intimidating player on the ice, and i like to mess with both the opposing teams players and the referees. So what team would be a better fit for my masterpiece of visiting the referees at home in a Jason Voorhees costume the morning before a game than the Chicago Syndicate. I absolutely should have pursued a hockey career like you did. Because I'd be a perfect fit on that team. syndicate

The second team on my top 5 list is the New England Wolfpack. What can i say, i love my Malamutes i love dogs and i love wolves. And the Wolf in New Englands logo looks particular awesome. Also, aren't we some kind of wolfpack already? I mean you, me and the other 4? Wolfpack

SR: Oh we definitely are a wolfpack. Whoooooooohooooooo

M: Whooooooohoooooooo. Ok, ok, team number three on my top 5 list are the New Orleans Specters. They have hands down by far the best Logo of the entire league. It looks so cool and dangerouns and mystical at the same time, i simply love it. Plus i like haunting my opponents and the referees. Another great fit for me. Specters

Lets get to number four: The Seattle Argonauts, I'd consider myself as some kind of Argonaut so this is another nobrainer. I also really like the design of the ship on their logo and the idea of being able to sail the ocean... I love the ocean. This is a great identity. Argonauts

And now to the last team on my top 5 list, i hope you have your top 5 ready by now Shiny because it's you who is going to be drafted to the SHL, not me. Your list is what our viewers want to know about.
SR: I'm good to go once you revealed your last pick Marshi.

M: Alright, then let's get to it. The last team on my top 5 list are the recent SHL Western Conference runner ups, the Texas Renegades. What can i say, i like to be one of the bad guys, so the Renegades can't miss out on my personal top 5. Also i think their logo comes in 2nd just behind New Orleans. Renegades Let us hear about your top 5 SHL team identitied now Shiny.

SR: Ok since we are doing this alphabetically the first team on my list are the Calgary Dragons. Dragons are simply cool and although i'd agree with you that New Orleans has the best Logo in the entire SHL, to me 2nd place behind that would be Calgary. The Dragon in their Logo looks awesome. Dragons

The second team on my top 5 list is the Edmonton Blizzard. They have drafted alot of my current teammates and alot of the QCC alumni are involved over there. So how could i not also want to go there? Also the Polar Fox in their logo looks really cute. It reminds me of one of our friends. This team has to be on my top 5 list. Blizzard

Now lets get to the only team that is going to be on both our top 5 lists. And it's there for the exact same reason as it is for you. The New England Wolfpack. I could really get used to all of us making wolf noises altogether at every game. Go Wolves! Wolfpack

Just like that I'm at number four already. And where you had picked the reigning western conference runner ups Marshi, I'm going to pick the reigning Challenge Cup Champions: The San Fracisco Pride. Did you see their arena Marshi? So much Rainbow stuff. It's basically in my name already that I'd be a great fit there. Also Lions are cool. pride

Now lets get to the end of my top 5 list: After starting as a Snow owl in Quebec City with all the owl friends we've got, it would be pretty natural for me to move on with my career as a polar bear in Winnipeg next, since we also have alot of bear friends. And the bears and owls we know, together they are kind of their own Wolfpack if you know what i mean. So yeah, the Winnipeg Aurora also makes my personal top 5 of SHL team identities. Aurora

M: You are so lame, you're just picking all the animals.
SR: Marshi, both of us are unicorns. We're also animals did you forget aout that already?
M: Yeah but really we are really cool ones! Now lets get to the meh 5 lists, but we can keep this one really short, i don't want you to insult any teams who could potentially draft you again.
SR: Hey, that was your fault last time! You basically screwed up the entire interview.
M: I was simply unprepared, you called half of the SMJHL lame and told them they should just rebrand. That was 100% on you Shiny.
SR: Fine, fine, it was now fault can we continue now and stop reminding everyone?
M: Say no more: Here are my SHL meh 5 team identities in no particular order: The first two will be the Baltimore Platoon Platoon and the Hamilton Steelhawks Steelhawks , both sound to me like they are a military theme and i'm simply not a fan of that. The next two teams on my meh 5 are the Minnesota Monarchs Monarchs and the Montreal Patriotes Patriotes , why would anyone want to be a monarch or a patriote? This is so lame. Plus i really don't like neither of these two logos. The last team on my meh 5 are the Toronto North Stars Stars . The logo kind of looks to me like they should be called the Toronto Light Houses. I'm sorry but for me Toronto is the definition of a "meh" i dont hate anything about it but i also don't like anything about it. It's meh. I guess it's your turn now again Shiny. And remember: Be nicer than i just was. Those teams may want to draft you.
SR: I'll try to, but it's a meh 5 and actually unlike our top 5 our meh 5 is very smilar to each other. Just like you Marshi I'm not a fan of military themed teams, but i also don't think the Hamilton Steelhawks are supposed to be a military theme. So I'll only add the Baltimore Platoon Platoon to my personal meh 5 list. Team two and three of my meh 5 are also on your list and they are there once again for the same reason. I don't like the Minnesota Monarchs Monarchs nor the Montreal Patriotes Patriotes . I don't think i'd fit well with either of those two identities. Now lets get to team four and five of my personal meh 5. Those two teams will probaly make you upset because they are on your personal top 5 list.
M: Don't you dare Shiny. My top 5 are perfect, how can you not like them? You are lame.
SR: Well Marshi, unlike you I don' want to be part of the "bad guys". So I'll add the Chicago Syndicate syndicate and the Texas Renegades Renegades to my personal meh 5 list. I'm sorry but that's just not me.
M: It's ok Shiny I'm just messing around with you. I kind of expected something like that already.
SR: Great, i think unlike last time we did it really well this time. What else have you prepared?
M: Good question Shiny. Now that our viewers know which teams you like and which you don't, let's have a look at who actually has a chance or in this case, no chance of drafting you because they simply don't own the required picks to draft you. In Total there are 20 teams who are part of the SHL. Now, let's have a look at the teams who are very likely not going to draft you first. Since you were drafted 20th overall in the SMJHL draft I would argue that i can rule out every team without a pick in round 1 or 2. However trades may always be a possibility for those teams to get a prospect they want, even you Shiny.
SR: If you try to make fun of me I'll just leave right here.
M: Relax Shiny, I'll be nice now. I promise. So, once again in alphabetical order the first team to rule out: I'm sorry Shiny, but it's the Calgary Dragons, they have no pick in either round 1 or 2. Same as the Los Angeles Panthers, the Minnesota Monarchs and another favorite of yours, the San Francisco Pride. Same as the Tampa Bay Baracuda and the Texas Renegades. And just like that we're down to 14 possible new teams for you Shiny. Now i'll call that you will be picked among the to 38 prospects not just the to 40 to reduce the number down to 13. I'm very confident you will be off the board for the Atlanta Infernos first pick of the draft. To give our viewers a better overview of the teams who could select you, I'll now add a list of all the teams picking in the top 38 in the order they are picking in, with all of their available picks:

1.) Hamilton Steelhawks (6 total picks: 1st, 4th, 15th, 20th, 21st, 35th)
2.) Edmonton Blizzard (2 total picks: 2nd, 13th)
3.) Montreal Patriotes (2 total picks: 3rd, 23rd)
4.) Manhattan Rage (3 total pick: 5th, 12th, 25th)
5.) Winnipeg Aurora (2 total picks: 6th, 32nd)
6.) Seattle Argonauts (4 total picks: 7th, 22nd, 28th, 34th)
7.) New Orleans Specters (3 total picks: 8th, 24th, 38th)
8.) Chicago Syndicate (5 total picks: 9th, 14th, 26th, 36th, 37th)
9.) Toronto North Stars (1 total pick: 10th)
10.) New England Wolfpack (2 total picks: 11th, 33rd)
11.) Buffalo Stampede (4 total picks: 16th, 27th, 30th, 31st)
12.) Baltimore Platoon (2 total picks: 17th, 29th)
13.) Philadelphia Forge (1 total pick: 19th)

SR: Wow this really looks like it is Hamiltons draft. Picking 5 times during the first 21st selections is going to make them a great team in the future. And don't forget they will get Enlightened Centrist awarded to them for free because of his role with the team. That's like another free early 1st round pick.
M: Do you have any other ideas about who is going to be picked by whom Shiny? Any insider information for our viewers?
SR: Sorry Marshi, I have absolutely zero inside information, i can only toss you random guesses, but I wouldn't be surprised to see Kim Cheawon going first overall to Hamilton after such an amazing rookie season. And I can also see my own teammate Rodwin Dionicio going 2nd overall to Edmonton. Afterall they seem very entangled with the Quebec City Citadelles, so they must love to add Rodwin there at number 2.
M: Interesting, keep going please.
SR: I am sorry Marshi, that's already as far as my guesses go.
M: But you can tell our viewers which of these teams have contacted and scouted you already, this way we can get an even better picture of where you might end up.
SR: Ok lets see: I had chats with the Edmonton Blizzard, which means they should consider me for their pick at 13. The next team on the list that scouted me are the Seatlle Argonauts but i don't think they would take me at 7th overall. They were probably scouting me for their 2nd round picks. However i have a feeling I'll be off the board by then. But it could also be that I'm just delusional because i want to be a first round pick so bad. The New Orleans Specters have also scouted me, but i have the same feeling with them as i have with Seattle, that they did it for their 2nd round picks. Not for their 8th overall selection. The next team on the list that scouted me is the Chicago Syndicate. They seemed more interested to me than New Orleans or Seattle but i don't think they are going to consider me anymore after i put them on my personal meh 5 list. Which leaves the first selection where i actually think i could be picked in this draft to the New England Wolfpack at 11th overall. The last team on that list that did scout me was the Philadelphia Forge and that's why i actually believe i could be a first round pick this time. Because during that interview i've got the vibes that they don't really believe that I am still going to be available at 19. But that could also be just me being delusional. So yeah Marshi, those are my three best guesses on when i could be picked in this draft: New England Wolfpack at 11, Edmonton Blizzard at 13 or Philadelphia Forge at 19. But remember we did this for the SMJHL draft already, and i interpreted all the vibes i got completely wrong. I was totally off with my guesses and I was completely blindsided by going to Quebec City because i didn't expect them to have me on their radar at all. My interview with the Citadelles were 3 simple questions and probably didn't last any longer than 2 minutes. The draft also still lies 3 days into the future. Maybe another GM wants to talk to me in person at the draft on sunday once we're there. Who knows... At the SMJHL draft Maine was the team that reached out to me on the day of the draft for the first time.
M: Wow, thats what you call having zero inside knowledge or ideas. That was alot of information. But this also means alot of people could be wrong with their draft prediction. I think about 80% of draft prediction i have seen had you being selected in the top 10 of the draft!
SR: That would be a very pleasent surprise and would create a great experience, but i don't think that is going to happen Marshi. There is no chance.
M: You thought there was no chance you would be drafted by the Citadelles.
SR: I guess that's true.
M: Then lets get to the most important question of this interview. Where do you want to end up? what is your absolute number one team to go to? Where do you want to play in the future?
SR: That's an easy question: For the Quebec City Citadelles.
M: Well played Shiny, but you know exactly that's not what i wanted to know here.
SR: Well, but that's my answer for now. My plan is to be open minded and excited about whoever is going to draft me. But for now I hope to spend 3 more seasons with Quebec City. I mean i called us winning 3 cups in a row the last time i was here in Portugal. So there is alot of pressure to deliver now. After winning this year, everyone will see us as the favourites in Season 80 and everyone will give 120% to beat us and to spoil a back to back championship.
M: I guess that's it then for this interview. I'll give you the honor to upload everything this time. We still have to get our suitcases ready for our trip momorrow. The draft is on Sunday already.
SR: And before that we probably have to help Sugi with the dishes. I bet she's baking Muffins right now instead of getting ready for our trip.
M: Alright Shiny, you just have to press this Button here and then we can go and look after Sugi in the kitchen.
SR: Perfect! Thanks Marshi. Aaaaaaaaand uploaded.
