It’s hard to put into words the impact a player like Journey Man has made on the entire organization for the San Francisco Pride. From the head office management to the locker room, team members families and even their fans will treasure so many key moments on how this player has helped shape this franchise. The amount of time he dedicated to this team will be remembered. The passion he brought into the arena every night; like few others in our storied franchise’s history will resound off these now hallowed halls. Yes, the locker room is a little quieter today without you around anymore.

Let’s relive some of the best moments of his time here. We will never forget the way he laced up his skates for the physical test on our ice before being offered a contract. Don’t forget the moment he signed his contract with the Pride, it was glorious. The excitement among the entire fan base as it was announced, they had their man! The time we showed him the front door of the training center as we welcomed him to the team, and quickly ushered him out the back door and into a cab heading to the airport right there after.

May god bless (if you believe in him/her/them) Journey Man and your time here in San Francisco. We look forward to the Jersey retirement ceremony when we play you next. Please listen to the crowd, they will cheer you on, our now lost hero. I know there may be a few who feel cheated as you have moved onto the next great opportunity, but not I sir, I will have tears in my eyes remembering your time; how you put your body on the line and played with your heart on your sleeve here in San Francisco, a champion’s champion. May the wind be always at your back as you continue your journey through out the SHL.
