<div align="center">SHL and SMJHL has already reached more than half of S15 regular season. Latvians have conquered SHL and SMJHL leagues, well actually more like SMJHL, with total 11 players: Jānis Vītols and Roberts Birkavs in Detroit Falcons, Kaspars Štromanis in Kelowna Knights, Krišs Labsvārds, Sandijs Siliņš, Alens Paurs, Reinis Lillais and Ričards Gaļickis in Montreal Impacts (5 Latvians in Impact (!), Krists Zommers in St. Louis Scarecrows, Matīss Daniels Kokins and Jorens Stepanovs at Vancouver Whalers. And in SHL only three Latvians: Emīls Vilmenietis in Hamilton Steelhawks, Arthur Grosberg in Manhattan Rage and Lauris Prikulis in Winnipeg Jets. Total 14 Latvians legionaries in Simulated Hockey League system, which is a lot, if first Latvian went to North America only in S12 and that was Lauris Prikulis.

In this article I will review how Latvian legion is doing in SHL and SMJHL, I'll try do do this weekly, or at least once in two weeks. Now I'm going to review all stats this far for all season, but in next articles I will review performance in time period between two articles. Lets start!

This season was very special for two Latvians. Emīls Vilmenietis and Arthur Grosberg debuted as SHL players, Grosberg now is first Latvian debuting in SHL at his first season being drafted to SHL, Prikulis and Vilmenietis played one more season in juniors and only then went to the SHL, but all the other Latvians haven't played in SHL. Jānis Vītols was named captain of Detroit Falcons before season. Vītols and Birkavs are one of best players at Detroit, they are 3rd and 4th best Falcons scorers, Krišs Labsvārds is one of leaders in Montreal, with 23 points he is 4th best scorer in team. But Krists Zommers is the best from all, he with 27 points is best in St. Louis and 5th in whole SMJHL. SHL Latvians, Prikulis and Grosbergs teams are struggling to get in Play-off's. Jets are only 4 points from 4th place with some hopes for PO, but Rage is 15 points behind 4th place WKP, so they could be the first team to lose chances for Play-off. But Vilmanietis team Steelhawks are in 3rd place with good chance to move up to the 2nd place. We will see Vilmenietis in PO, but won't see Grosberg, only question is, will Prikulis get his second PO experience?



SHL players got some bonuses because SHL have higher level.
